This was a gift certificate for my husband's birthday and housewarming. We made reservations, advised and needed. The menu was not that different from most restaurants, but there are ways to make a club sandwich and then there are ways to make a great club sandwich. This was a latter, and their chopped wedge salad was great especially adding the olives which I love. The setting is beautiful and the staff are polite, friendly, knowledgeable and well trained. I can see where a destination wedding, baby or bridal shower, or just a friendly lunch this would be a wonderful placed. Visited many years ago. Was planning to enjoy nice evening on their gorgeous patio unfortunately the Canadian wildfire smoke ruined that. The hostess & seating was not great. Put in a smaller room next to a pedestal fan. The entree brie and strawberry salad with scallops was good, although raisins made no sense jn the dish. The other diner's entree salmon was good. I am sooo glad I finally got to come here! For like the past two years me and my boyfriend said "We should go here, we should try it" but with the location it would just escape our minds. And finally we had a good excuse to go, we took his mom here to celebrate her birthday! We came at a great time too. Coming during the day during lunch time and missing those dinner crowds. We got to sit right by the window which had a lovely view outside (outdoor seating as well!). All the food was fantastic. She got a salad which they display realllllly creatively right in front of you! (Remember, you eat with your eyes first) I got some awesome meatballs, and he got one of their daily specials. We each had a different/delicious dessert as well. And the best thing is they serve Gervasi wine! (same company, right?) They do these things where you can bring your dog and sit outside as well. This place is amazing! My girlfriend and I have been here many times and is always a pleasant experience! They hire extremely friendly and prompt servers. The food is absolutely amazing but we all know we come for the cocktails! If you are really hungry I suggest the loaded chips as an appetizer. The pizzas are very large and the Mediterranean slaps . We have visited a couple times before so this will include all 3 times of visiting. The patio is always a nice place to eat when you can. We have figured out eating at the venue is better than taking out we feel. Brussels sprouts are fantastic. The meatballs are a little tough in our opinion and not really all that great even though people rave about them. We did not like the twisted pizza we got. It seemed to lack flavor overall. Maybe our expectations were too high. Always have had great service when seated there. Knowledgeable and quick and friendly. The crispy shrimp appetizer is probably crispy you put the orange sauce on it but then the crispy turns to mush but overall great flavor and delicious. Lasagna is good but would have liked more of the great sauce to go with it. Citrus chili shrimp fettuccine was good but again we expected a little more sauce. I am not expecting or wanting my pasta to be drowned in sauce like Italian mcdonalds (also known as olive garden) but I would like a little more of that sauce because it has all the good flavors I want in a great Italian restaurant. This is my new favorite place. 4 of us went on a Saturday night. Place was slammed. Much larger than I anticipated. We showed up on time. But had to wait about 10 mins to sit. Sat in the all weather room. I bet it's nice in the summer but since it gets dark early we could not see the view. We ordered appetizers the brussel sprouts and the loaded chips. They were really good! Let me just say 1 thing on the brussel sprouts. They are awesome! Best ever! Ordered spinach fettuccini. Had a hard time choosing a entree everything looked good. It was great. Portion a bit small compared to my other table mates who got pasta too. But it was very tastee. We also ordered the crab cake sliders which my dad loved. The orenchetta & meatballs which was a bit too. And the capellini. Everyone loved their meal. Our server was very good and very attentive. She was hustling. My only complaint that really the restaurant can't do too much about is the noise. In this patio room was loud. So loud it was hard to carry on a conversation. That was my biggest issue. I finally got to go to the twisted olive!! It was for my parents 50th wedding anniversary! It was so amazing. The staff was extremely outgoing and courteous, our waitress did such a great job! She even made sure i got the check, since my Dad always try's to pay... even when this was part of his anniversary treat!!! It was a perfect night! The food was spectacular! We got the Twisted wings, the calamari, and the hummus. Which we got so quickly. I had the chopped wedge (which is served with a little performance art) the bread comes out right before the meal however, I would've like that with my salad, but my main meal was the special shredded beef short rib served over gnocchi in veal demi glaze. I went here for a work meeting a while back and we dined buffet style in one of their downstairs meeting rooms. The buffet food was excellent so I wanted to go back ever since. We finally made it back for my 27th birthday this past week. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor patio but all the more reason to come back! We had a bottle of sweet white, Tesoro. I like that they serve Gervasi wine. We usually get a bottle of Romanza when at Gervasi but wanted to switch it up. We ordered the tomato spread appetizer which comes with pita. It also had melted cheese and artichoke hearts and was quite delicious. Rolls were also brought out with some sort of herb butter. For the main course, I ordered the cheese cappelletti. My fiancé was between the crab cake sliders and the special, which was some sort of shrimp and ravioli combo, until he saw the woman at the table next to us had ordered the puff pastry wrapped meat loaf and decided on that. When our food came, I immediately had food envy for his meatloaf! Not to mention, the mashed potatoes and crispy asparagus that came with it. My meal had grilled chicken on top and I didn't order chicken so I was a little surprised by that, but didn't bother saying anything since I like chicken and it was quite tasty. When the bill came, the chicken upcharge wasn't on there so it must've been a kitchen mistake, not a waiter mistake. We never do dessert but since it was my birthday, we splurged. We got the molten fudge cake and it comes out in a hot skillet with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. So delicious, the crispy bites of cake on the edge of the pan were my fav! We already talked about going back because there were so many more things on the menu we wanted to try. We didn't realize they served rolls so we kind of carbed up with those and the pita and tomato spread. Visited this place during an office visit. Its a huge new place with a great ambience AND a separate bar at the lower level. Ordered the Twisted Mule which was good but a little sweet for my taste... I expected more of the Ginger flavor. The food and service were excellent. We got the lasagna and a that day's special penne à la vodka (they accommodated my diet restrictions). I love going to this restaurant every time. We are always greeted by friendly workers, and everyone always does their absolute best to make sure you have a pleasant experience. I enjoy the Bellini meanie drink they have, and you can find that listed under the martini section. Their chipotle cheddar soup is amazing....I get it every time. Their salads always comes out in this cool tube and then they swish it around to fall out of the tube and onto the plate. They also have an amazing cheesecake that everyone I know loves. The flatbreads are a favorite by many of my friends and they come out on a cookie sheet. Many friends and family love the Brussel sprouts appetizer and Bloody Marys. One of the Blood Marys comes with a slider on a stick. The scenery is beautiful around the area as well. Would highly recommend this to others. read more

A long winding wooded drive from the main road to the beautiful restaurant among trees and a pond behind! It makes a Beautiful calm view and a very large outdoor patio in the more friendly climate! We actually saw two deers stop for a drink from the pond! The restaurant was very quiet with few customers! The downstairs Bar was more active! Perhaps a Christmas party? The building has three floors with the restaurant on the main entrance walk in level! There is a full bar on this level and the lower level BAR area! In the lobby we was greeted and taken to a table. Immediately our waiter greeted us and asked if we were ever here before! Then he proceeded to list a detail specials for the day and highlighted are key menu items as well! We order drinks and when the arrived we both decided to order from the menu! We order different salads and different entrees! My salad was Italian very good, but totally different! I ordered crab cake with a a few shrimps! We had not rated all day due to an appointment earlier! However,I was not hungry either (go figure)! The small size salad was more than I want and took half home! The main dish was sufficient size and include a few vegetables and a small amount of mashed potatoes. The vegetables were good the crab cake and shrimp was just fair! Not any zip or flavors! Next time I'll order steaks! Over $30-36 but hopefully more bangs for the bucks! Our meal was about the $24-26 and the salads was about $6 -$5 and the small bottle of very good wine $21.00 and a good tip, added up to $101.00 for two people! I have been to this restaurant many times (even had my rehearsal dinner here) but I wanted to give a review now because my dietary restrictions have changed and I can no longer eat gluten. I heard from friends that Twisted Olive had an extensive gluten-free menu and promptly scheduled a date night there to check it out. From appetizers to desserts, this place has multiple gluten-free options for everyone. I ordered the chipotle potato soup and the loaded burger. My husband had a steak salad and French onion soup. Everything was delicious. They even brought me a basket of gluten-free bread to enjoy before the meal which is so nice, because anywhere else, I'd just have to pass while everyone else could eat. They did undercook my burger, but after explaining this to our server, he quickly got me a new one cooked to order and also offered me a free dessert to make up for the trouble. We liked this so well that we came back four days later with my dad and his girlfriend. Everyone's meals were great - this time I got the short rib (unbelievable!) and again, didn't feel like I was missing out or forced to order from one or two items that were gluten-free. We also got the GF pizza. This was a bit soggy but the taste was good. I highly recommend this place to anyone, but especially those with food restrictions, as they really know how to cater to our diets and make the experience highly enjoyable. read more

Stopped here with some friends and family from out of town. We were shopping for wedding dresses all morning. Everyone was excited our friend selected the one! I asked Zeke if he could make a dessert special and he and the chef did a fantastic job. So it took me a while, but I've been back a few times since my original review and I'm happy to report that all my experiences since have been greatly improved! The food has been amped up with flavor, and the service was top notch. I won't write a book this time,but there were a few noteworthy things I tried. The wedge salad was much better this time, definitely more flavor in the dressing and tasted super fresh. The pizza was great, and as a kids meal was a great value, and kid approved (she ate almost all of it). The kids grilled chicken meal was amazing, the chicken was so juicy, another kid approved winner. The burger was great, and so was the calamari. A friend had a steak and he loved it. The only thing I wouldn't order again was the chicken meatballs- they were either packed too hard or over cooked (or both) and the garlic cream tasted of powdered garlic, not fresh. Overall tho, I'm so happy that the food now matches the awesome surroundings and decor, add in the great service and it's an all around great time! read more

Don't look for a building, look for signage ... It's set back in the woods from street. Checked out at 5:30 on a Saturday night with no reservations or expectations. Seems like a "fine dinning, special occasion" resto for the community. Upscale lodge-type setting on two levels with landscaped views. Traditional, nicer dining up, "Pub" downstairs, with a walk-out patio. Both feature the same menu I was told. We were cheerfully greeted at the desk, and secured a high top in the pub. There are a few padded booths and an ample additional bar to back... but it faces an interior wall. Also an additional, smaller dinning room was noticed. Be prepared in the Pub that the place fills up fast. The high tops fit 6 and were filled up by 6pm. Service was good, sparse but professional. Cocktails were well done and came out fast. The apps we tried were the humus and calamari. There were good and with nice presentation. Only gripes would be that the humus (and plate) were seriously chilled which deadened the taste. A lemon or lime would of been nice to brighten the overall taste of the squid. (we asked for one, but it arrived way after we were done. We also would of liked hot sauce too, but no one to ask for it. I got the impression, watching the server that he was covering a lot of space that night.) Dinner were house dinner salads, two pizzas and an entree order of mac & cheese. Their (Twisted) take on M&C was good, but more-so it was perfectly cooked, Ohio City Pasta Fusilli with a nice, light, white cheddar cheese sauce, smoked gouda, ham, bacon, and broccoli... worth trying. The B-A-T pizza (Bacon, Arugula, Tomato, Provolone, Garlic Cream $15.5) and Twisted (again) pizza (Pepperoni, Banana Peppers, Mozzarella, Provolone, Red Meat Sauce $17.5) were both well prepared and tasty. I'm assuming these were done in a regular pizza oven (no wood fired flavor). They do make a good crust you don't want to leave behind. Wine list is 95% Gervasi, a local vineyard. Adequate offerings ... but then Gervasi is the owner of this place. Worth giving the place a try if you are in the Green section of Canton. Do not expect a cool little, independent/chef-owner driven restaurant ... this is a large place with a well-executed marketing plan, but def a good alternative to a chain place. Was excited to try this place after a trip that had me flying out of CAK. The grounds are beautiful as is the space and both made a great first impression. We were seated right on time at a lovely patio table with a view and then from there things went downhill. After we ordered drinks our waiter came back and we let him know that the hostess had mistakenly brought over two extra menus, we were only a party of two. He then informed us we were in the computer as a party of 4. I'm not sure why-- we made our reservation for 2. Then, he asked us to move to a back table away from the view since there wasn't 4 of us. Well at that point we were comfortable and happy and didn't want to move so we asked to stay. He clearly wasn't pleased by this and ignored us for the rest of the evening as best he could. We never heard the specials. We never had refills and we waited a long time for the check. The reason the review isn't worse is that the food was good. I had a great strawberry and Brie salad and my boyfriend enjoyed his pasta dish. The view was great as was the food but not sure we'll be back due to the service. read more

I absolutely love this place and the location is so majestic. This a great place to celebrate or have a special day. I've never had a bad meal here. My mother and I both shared the apple and fig salad which was amazing especially with the Boursin cheese and then the immaculate French onion soup. I could eat it at any time of the year. I had the crab cake sliders and I was very surprised at how good the crab was in the midst of Ohio. There was a great amount of crab versus breading in the mixture and the fries were almost like fair fries, very fresh! My mother ordered the Gouda, Ham and Broccoli Mac and Cheese which was amazing. Since we parked far away and it was raining, I called the restaurant and asked the waitress if there was a long wait. She said about 30 minutes. That sounded pretty good to us so my husband and I dashed through the rain to the restaurant. When we got in, we told the hostess table for two. She told us the wait is almost 90 minutes. What??? I told her, "Really? Because I just called from the parking lot 2 minutes ago and you told me 30 minutes." She didn't know what to say to that. Went with a large group for Easter dinner and sat in a great room in the basement with a big round table. Great for such a big group to be able to talk to everyone. Amazing bloody Mary's, most of us got the manly Mary with bacon and bourbon. Someone ordered the "Bloody Mary experience" which was a meal in itself.
