Bar seems nice but they need to get better track on who they hire for security. Went out of my apartment just a few minutes ago CLEARLY to grab the pizza we just had got delivered. The security guard out front immediately started nagging us to show i.d, we told him multiple times that we were not trying to go in the bar, we were just grabbing pizza. He said then we can't stand there then we need to move. I'm sorry but the bar doesn't own the sidewalk, we were plenty far from the bar and DID NOT want to go in. We moved anyway and when waking away my boyfriend said, "why are you trying to pick a fight" to which the security guard responded, "don't try to talk tough, i'll break your fucking nose". This was out of nowhere and had no reason to be said. This is alarming as that is not the type of person you need to have around drunk people. He is also known to cause problems with people and residence that live above the bar. I hope the management can see these problems and get rid of the security guard FOR the safety of people. I wish I had his name but he was so aggressive that I am not trying to go near him again and I will definitely never be going to Udder as long as he is there. read more

This is exactly what Turlock needed: an unpretentious, non-kitschy country bar. Think: less Ariats and more Steve Madden, but that doesn't mean there isn't potential to change the scene when the word gets out. The staff is friendly, the drinks are strong and the layout allows for intimacy as well as space to strut your stuff. It's an ideal balance of country warmth and modern convenience. There are darts in the back room and a substantial juke box. And of course the big screen tv means you'll be entertained no matter what. The crowd is a welcome potpourri of young, old, country and city. Two cocktails for $13, not too shabby. The only drawback was the lack of signage : the only identifying mark is a cattle brand hanging at the storefront, but that didn't stop us from finding it. :-) We WILL BE BACK!!! read more

Udder Place is basically the place to go these days around here. I've gone in on different nights during the week and they always seem to have different things going on which is cool. I wish karaoke was more often! I didn't realize they had food, but I ate there recently and it was actually pretty darn good! Had some issues with the bouncers there trying to get in with IDs and them needing to see our credit cards to get in which was weird since I normally only carry cash and was spending drinks and food with cash. Great place to see live country music! There's 3 bars in the place which allows you an easy opportunity to get a drink quickly. Good customer service and the place is always packed on weekends. The live bands are always really good. I highly recommend this place for a good night out dancing. The only downside is the bathroom line is always too long. read more

My sister and I went out to have some fun and dance a lot! The Udder Place was fun, the music was good and the service was reasonably fast considering the crowd they had, and the bathrooms were clean! The Kenny Fry Band was playing the cover charge was only $5.00 each. The band played a good set, mixing some country with good rock songs here and there. I had the worst experience ever today! We went in and ordered some tacos, when I proceeded to close out after ordering some drinks as well, the bartender Rachel sadly lost my boyfriends debit card and had someone else sign off on it. So someone else took his card and we were very upset. I hope this doesn't happen again, we enjoy Udder and the bar itself is clean and organized. Is this a country bar? The inside resembles country, but the atmosphere/staff appearance doesn't not. Staff is friendly yet, doesn't portray the roll of a "country" bar. This place is ok I guess. I don't like the fact that you have to funnel into the place but the lounge area towards the back is cool. By no means is this a country bar though!
