I have owned and managed my own business for 25 years, so I understand how important customer care and repeat customers are. I live in Ann Arbor during the fall and frequently ship items back and forth to California, so I regularly use shipping services. I needed to ship two footballs and was fully prepared to pay for the box, shipping, and insurance. However, when I asked to use a small piece of tape to seal the box, I was told I had to purchase an entire roll. The manager was rude and repeatedly stated that their policy is not to provide any supplies to customers. When I asked what it would cost for them to simply put the two footballs in a 14x14 box and tape it, I was quoted $18.99--before the cost of supplies and shipping. My issue was never with paying for legitimate services. It was the petty refusal to provide a small piece of tape, combined with excessive additional charges and a rude, dismissive attitude. This was not my first negative experience at this location--just my last. If this location is independently owned and operated, I hope the owner takes the time to review the pattern of one-star reviews and considers making changes. Consistent negative feedback about customer service should be taken seriously. I cannot recommend this location and will not be returning. There are too many other shipping options available to continue giving my business to a place where customers are treated this way.

Lines that go on forever, and are so slow that a bottle Heinz ketchup flows twice as fast. Thankfully, a friend of mine told me about this place on M-17, just west of Golfside Road. I needed to mail a package to my friend in Tokyo, so I went to the local post office on my day off, and there had to be nearly 50 people waiting in line. Then I remembered Goin' Postal was right near a specialized grocery store that I really like on M-17. So I left the line behind and drove out west of town. Was I ever lucky, I was the only person in line, and after I filled out my customs forms, purchased some stamps I was right out the door in less than 10 minutes. The staff at this place is very friendly and gave me several shipping options to choose from. I can just imagine as I drove home, most of the people in that line at the local post office were still waiting in line to be served. That said, I was amazed that my package arrived within a week. I highly recommend this place, as they are faster than the local post office, and they don't have the attitude that some of the postal workers have.
