I would say that the manager is racist. I recently had to start receiving packages at this location due to my job. I used to do business with the north natomas location and it was great. I had to start sharing a box with a co worker who is white, he receives about 10 packages a month. As soon as I was added to his account, which is paid by my boss, it was suddenly a problem to receive packages. Rather than say we needed to pay more money, he just complained about me getting so many boxes. He treated me like my coworkers pet, never once spoke directly to me instead he talked to my coworker as if he owned me. He started bringing all six of my packages and he set them in the middle of the lobby walkway not caring about the huge holes in the sides of the boxes. The products were clearly damaged, metal was bent, pieces were rattling, and his only comment was that it wasn't his problem and to contact 1-800-ups. They don't offer self service printers here. It's $4 to email them and 25¢ per page to print in b/w. In response to your response. Sending an email has no cost to you. I understand high shipping costs. I don't understand why I'm being charged to send you an email. How is emailing you better than emailing anyone else? As many people do when returning Amazon products, they go to The UPS Store. This was my first time at this location. I had the most helpful staff member at that I've ever encountered at any UPS store. Her name is Stella. A name often acquainted with Marlon Brando's famous line "hey Stella"., Thanks to her kindness, I certainly will never forget how patience, helpful and wonderful Stella was correctly the mistake made by Whole Foods. Stella went to the effort of looking my returns up iand processing everything that she could at her location. I love this UPS Store. They are always so friendly and helpful there! I've had a number of times where I forgot the right packing or there's some other issue and I've only once or twice had to go back home to grab something and come back. They have some envelopes to pack things in if you forget and tape. There is also rarely a line which is nice. read more

I tried to return a defective amazon purchase and he belittle my ignorance of using the QR reader; rejected my downloaded QR code, insisted he needed the QR image instead, calling it THE CODE, when it is just the QR code LABEL (image) and rejected my package/return until I had Amazon send the Label again to my smart phone. I have been going to this store for many years. Hey are always very helpful and fulfill all my postal & notary needs. I sent a package to my daughter on the east coast and she didn't receive it. I tracked the package to a warehouse in LA, but no one could find it. The UPS store on fair oaks in Carmichael is the sore that I'd sent from. They called me and informed me that they had filed a claim on my behalf. They then had a check waiting for me. I never even insured the package. Then my daughter called and informed me that she had finally received it. Thankfully, I hadn't picked up the check. I wish the post office was this accommodating! Very nice and easily accessible location. I needed to make an Amazon return and the product was only accepted at a UPS store. I'm still new to the Arden - Arcade / Carmichael area so I had to map myself to this location. Once I arrived I started to walk towards the building and one of the employee saw me struggling with the size and weight of the box and ran to open the door and take the box for me. The whole return process was super fast and so easy. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the employees name but he was so friendly and personable. I don't usually have the need to go to UPS on a regular basis but any time the need does come around, I will be back to this location. read more

I usually really like this location, the line is short and staff is friendly and helpful. However my last interaction to print 1 sheet of paper sucked. First off the practice of charging a $4 flat email fee for printing is predatory. $4.15 to print 1 piece of paper. The system is outdated. Second off the older guy behind the counter was an a-hole, informed me of how to email and print then literally ignored me and looked through me to the next customer when I had a question. So I wondered around the store looking for this obscure email address taped to a tabletop in the corner until he finally acknowledged me again and directed me to it. The first time I did that, Amazon said they never received the package and I had no proof of the return. When I went back to the UPS store, they told me that they ALWAYS give a receipt so I must have lost it. Well I can't lose what I never got! So this time, I asked for a receipt and the gal told me that she cannot give me one. I asked why? And she very rudely said to me, "all you have to do is look at the label! It says USPS which means United States Postal Service!" In a tone like I was an idiot! Granted that was my bad but they look so similar and she didn't have to be so dang rude about it! Then the man behind the counter who seems to be there most of the time, just stood there, watched, and said nothing! Again, I was just following the instructions and she really didn't answer my question as to why she couldn't give me a receipt. I walk in, he barks at me put your box on the scale. Not hello, welcome--just immediately begins bossing me around. I start to pull out my labels from my pocket and before I can even begin to speak, he immediately repeats himself in an even more assertive tone. I say sorry, I have an unusual situation with Amazon and was given two labels. I am not sure which label I should give you (and set the box on the scale). My package contains multiple items all going to the same seller, and the only difference between the labels ---Immediately he interrupts me: "you have to figure out which label" --- yes, that is what i am trying to figure out, I explain. The only difference in the labels is one says 8lbs and the other 4lbs - again he interrupts me - the tracking numbers blah blah blah --- at this point I cannot believe this jerk. I interrupt him back, asking can i speak??? He stops, I ask him how much does the box weigh???? (I knew it wasn't 4, but it could be 8 or 12). He says its 8. I give him the 8lb label and walk out. He did this as two other customers are there who, by this point have stopped what they were doing because of how a simple interaction has now turned into a totally unnecessary moment of drama. This idiot must be the owner otherwise I can't imagine how he'd still have a job. When it comes to shipping packages, I am unsure if I should go to UPS or the Post Office. I needed a specific sized box so I went with UPS, as the Post Office is limited on box sizes. All the customers seemed happy when they walked in and out of the store, and the man who owns the store knew most of the people's name. When it was my turn to be helped, he instantly suggested box sizes. I was just buying the box, but he asked me where I was going to send my package without me asking. He was able to give me an accurate estimate of how much it would cost and how long it would take to ship off the top of his head. Pretty impressive. I returned the next day to ship my items, turns out it cost 50% more, but my package weighted 3 times the amount that I thought it was. Customer service was top notch. A good personality is always a nice touch. Btw, they make copies of keys here if you need to get that done as well. read more

I've received terrible service from this location 90% of the time when returning amazon packages. I get attitude from the clerks for simply returning a package and my business seems like such a burden. I leave so frustrated after leaving feeling like I did something wrong when I didn't at all. Recently I brought 3 packages to return and was sent away saying everything was all good. Come to find a few days later only 2 of my 3 packages were registered for return. I came here to deposit checks into my USAA bank account after calling and speaking with a very pleasant man on the phone to make sure they had this service. It was my first time not mailing a check into my bank- way easier! The man and woman who worked at this UPS Store were really kind and fun to talk to! I just moved to Sacramento but it seems like people are cool here and way more easy going. This location was easy to get to and the parking lot was large enough with plenty of spots. They do everything you would expect a UPS to do in terms of timely mailing and are helpful especially if you have the label pre=printed. Often they will ask you to just hand them the label, the package, and they will do the rest if its already boxed! Very helpful! However, I will say that I have no intention of coming back to this location in the future due to poor customer service! I have interacted with three different employees here over the past year and only one of them gives me consistently great service. The older gentleman, who I assume is an owner, was decently friendly and nice my first few times coming in to ship things and always helped me quickly. The issues began to arise when I needed to print any documents. I called one time to confirm that they had printing services and the guy seemed genuinely confused about what I was asking for.... I said, "well, to print documents from a USB" "ooooohhhhh we have that. yes." Okay.... so I ventured down there and he helped me understand how to use the printer and let me be. I printed a LOT of documents that day. I decided to sell my printer from my house when and to head to UPS when I needed something urgently. In early January, I began needing to print more consistently but still not enough to buy my own printer. I had about 50 pages of documents to print and a young asian (I think? Sorry! I'm not sure but she is ethnic for sure) woman was INCREDIBLY helpful and always has been quick to help me with a happy attitude and even remembers me! She will come out from the back even if someone else is helping me to just say hi which I find to be very nice. However, I feel like the gentleman working here is the reason this location has lost my business. I almost feel like he doesn't trust me, and although its been a few weeks since my last visit, I am still upset about the way I was treated. I have printed MANY documents at this UPS over the last 9 months and every time he acts like I cannot be trusted and he has to rip the pages from my hand to "count them" and assure I am being honest about how much I'm printing. Hello, if I was trying to scam you, I wouldn't be telling you I need to be charged for the most expensive type of print! (color on legal size) Not only that, but he was genuinely offended and snarky with me when I wouldn't hand over the documents on one visit where I printed about 70 legal size sheets of bank documents to send to the IRS!!! Dude, leave my personal business alone! I don't care if you "aren't looking", it's still confidential! The other woman (not the asian one) also we pretty rude to me when I needed help on a day I forgot my USB drive and needed to email the document. She was very short with me and clearly agitated that she had to actually do real work (ie sit at the computer, open the email, and press print). I am receiving a service, and although it doesn't require much, the service could at least be rung up with a kind attitude. I'm not asking for much. You don't even have to smile at me! But I would appreciate some level of neighborhood friendliness, especially considering I used to be a very regular customer. read more

I did a livescan there for California Credentialing. I was told by staff that if I had any problems with scan not going through they would help and redue it. Got a letter from the CTC that they never received the scan. Came back with receipt and live scan form. At first they said they would redue it I refilled the firm again and just as we were about to rescan I'm told I have to pay because the owner wants a letter from DOJ. Gave me a number to call it was all recordings and none to speak to. The owner Jen was not offering any assistance and wouldn't accept the letter of the California Teacher Credentialing. They did not tell me that at the time of the first scan that I needed a rejection letter form DOJ that I never received. Then when I left they said they are keeping the form with all of my personal information. They just left it on the table in plain site. I asked them to destroy it. They wouldn't give it to me. I had to insist to see them put it through the shredder. They put it inside something that I hope was the shredder. The most horrible service I could receive from a store. read more
