I will purposely go out of my way to avoid this place because of the (who I assume is) manager. His short responses, and rude demeanor is joke. Unfortunately, I had to come here the other day and fortunately, the manager wasn't there. When I was trying to get support from the staff, they kept telling me the wrong information. Customer service is terrible. They only have one self-help kiosk, and when it's in use employees hate to be bothered to help customers waiting in line. Maybe they should get another kiosk if employees don't want to interact with customers. I would much rather use the kiosk than interact with rude employees. I can't say enough good things about my most-recent experience at the UPS store. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Marcus. He has amazing customer-service skills! I honestly thought I was going to have to do all the work and then just hand the finished product to one of the representatives. However, as soon as I walked up to the counter, I was greeted with a smile. I explained to Marcus what I needed, and he took it from there. He boxed up everything, taped it, and guided me along the way on how I should ship the package to ensure that it is received successfully. He was patient. He was kind. And last, but certainly not least, he was professional. It is my absolute pleasure to provide him the best review possible. I encourage the UPS store to recognize him and cultivate his talents. Lastly, we are currently experiencing difficult times. There are so many angry people who want to be unkind to others. I encourage anyone who reads this to consider that the world needs more positive feedback. Do your part. The Asian guy working there quite literally humiliated me in front of everyone saying he can't help me with my fingerprint because I did it wrong and told me I had to figure it out and walked away when I was clearly just trying to ask him for help. When my mom passed away, never did I expect the huge amount of personal business that I had to get in order! Some required a notary service. My first set of documents were done at another UPS store, but due to a title company error, one of the sheets was sent incorrectly, and they required my dad to fill it out again and get notarized. Instead of going to our original UPS notary, we were in the area and used this facility instead. When we walked in I felt we were an inconvenience because the place was busy. I understood that helping customers and then having to spend more time with notary business can add to the stress, so we tried to be pleasant and patient. After things were completed, we left feeling relieved that everything was handled correctly. However a week later, we got another letter from the same title company we were dealing with, stating that we needed to return to the notary because he didn't complete the notary block! (This has been an ongoing headache we have been dealing with them)! Never knew a notary block was a thing! Anyway, we decided it would be better to return to our original notary who helped us initially to make sure it was done right! After explaining what happened she made sure our final paperwork was handled as required. Now I wish we had gone back to her in the first place! read more

I come here for returns because it's close to my work place. At noon they are very busy with only 2 employees. The line was wrapping around inside, however they always work as quickly as possible. If there is a person ahead who is not ready they give instructions on what to do and help the next person. Most importantly they don't rob people here. I been to other ups stores and if for any reason you need a small piece of tape they make you buy their overpriced products. Here they are kind enough to do that for you. I'm not one to usually go out of my way to leave reviews, but with the consistent Wonderful customer service I've received from the store, thought it was necessary. This is my WORST experience at a UPS store thus far! Do not go to this store!! The Notary Chris has no idea how to do his job, or how to treat customers or how to be polite. The management of this location needs to retrain Chris. Believe the negative reviews on here. Rather than notarize my document, he went on an ego trip ranting about what else I needed even when I EXPLICITLY said I did not need it. He refused to notarize the document because I told him I did not need an apostille for my document. He joined other customers in mocking me. How can you argue with a customer about what a customer needs? You cannot force a service on a customer. I had to go to the Postal Annex in Rockingham 10265 to get my document notarized without any issues. I do not think someone like Chris should be working there! I would not advise anyone to go to this location for anything. If you need your document notarized, go to the Postal Annex in 10265 Rockingham. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Saw online that there was flat rate shipping option at this store with rates given online. James, obviously in a bad mood asked me what I needed. I told him I needed a flat rate shipping box that would fit the amount of items I had in a bag I brought with me. He doesn't even make eye contact he just asks for my address and the address I was sending it to. Huffing and puffing he tells me it will be $44. I told him that I thought their prices were online and he tells me that basically they are false prices online. He started to actually try to help me when I started reading things off of the website and at that point I realized he wasn't trying to help me from the get go. This place doesn't advertise a lot of the services they have, but I found they also have a Notary service available during business hours. If they advertised it, I think a lot more would use it. My search on Yelp for a notary didn't pop this up. My only real issue with this place is that it isn't open on Sundays but that's just a gripe. They always get things taken care of pretty quickly and correctly. I've been there several dozen times over the year to ship, copy and now Notary services. Good place. read more

Did I walk into a club or The UPS store? Lol... the music was on point during my short (first) visit to this UPS location. Heyyyyyyy! Lol. In all Yelp seriousness, this location is awesome! I walked in with my Amazon return, dude promptly greeted me while helping other customers; saw that I had a return.. scanned my Amazon bar code on my phone, within seconds he printed my receipt. That was it, my visit was quick, no issues while I snuck in some dance moves while waiting in line... I received a refund email from Amazon within the hour! The man working right now was unhelpful to everyone in the store this morning. He was rude, terrible customer service and blamed or shamed every customer in the store. I was especially appalled by the public criticism and shaming of the poor woman in front of me. She asked him for help typing the store email to print something because she is visually impaired and his response was "ma'am how you going to see without your glasses if you can't see? You should have them with you." He should not have said that. He doesn't know why she may not have them or be able to obtain any. There was a gasp from the woman behind me and the one he was speaking to was clearly embarrassed. This customer service is unacceptable. read more

Chris was awesome the store was extremely busy the other coworker not sure if it was manager or not but he seemed stressed and tense during the peak which obviously doesn't make it easy for anyone the way he spoke to Chris out loud and made comments in front of the whole customers was super inappropriate and not cool at all I had to end up walking out because I got so upset for Chris... idk what was up that guy @$s but hopefully Chris will find something else to do after the holidays no one deserves to get put down and embarrassed. Yesterday, on 1/4/23 I received an email saying that UPS "attempted" to deliver a package to my door but wasn't able to (spoilers, they didn't). I was instructed to wait for a notification that my package was available for pick up at the nearest UPS Store, which I did. Email said it was ready to be picked up at 3pm. Great. I get off work at 5pm and go to the UPS store. I show them my tracking number and ready for pick up email and ID and they tell me my package isn't there. They had barely looked! Two girls rolled their eyes at me and said just because I received a notification, that didn't mean it was actually there. I asked them if they could just check. I was told repeatedly that drivers only dropped off deliveries in the morning and that my package wouldn't be there. I finally asked a FIFTH time can you please go look again. And once again she rolls her eyes and says "I GUARANTEE YOU THIS ISN'T HERE". Well guess what? IT WAS THERE. THEY WERE JUST TOO LAZY AND RUDE TO ACTUALLY GO BACK AND LOOK FOR IT. The girl who told me she could "guarantee" nothing had been dropped off for me didn't even apologize. This literally could've taken under 3 minutes when I had first walked in the door, but they were too determined to waste time and make things hard for no reason. I've had a mailbox at the Olson Dr store for 15 years and I appreciate getting mail and packages safely delivered to this store. I've had some expensive deliveries and some that were fragile or refrigerated and I've always been able to get them in good shape. They even called me when I alerted them that I was waiting for specific items. There have been a couple of mistakes through the years, but nothing major. This store is BUSY at certain times of the day, but they seem to keep their cool. I also don't expect people to be cheerful ALL of the time. But 95% of the time, I am greeted in a friendly way. They know me and vice-versa. Melvin is particularly skilled and even keeled and I appreciate his service. :-) read more

Very disappointed AGAIN! I have a PO Box with after hours access with this place and was expecting something very very important on Saturday in the mail. I go to get it, and my box is empty. I look over on their counter (behind a locked cage) and I see a tub of mail they did not get put in the PO boxes. I'm sure the excuse will be "we were very busy" but I'm sorry, if your business is to provide PO Boxes for customers, you find time to do it PERIOD! If that means you close the doors when you close and have to pay one of your employees 15 minutes of overtime to make sure ALL YOUR LOYAL customers get their mail, then that's what you have to do. Instead you take care of all the one time walk in customers and leave your loyal customers hanging?? I feel like their is NO EXCUSE to not have every piece of mail in every PO Box Every day! First of all, UPS is too expensive, but that's not the fault of the STORE. I usually prefer to ship with other methods, and leave our banking to UPS (USAA). But sometimes I give in and just use the shipping here out of pure convenience. Last time I came in, I brought a birthday gift for my brother. I started looking at the boxes and picked one out that was the closest in size to the gift(s) I was holding. The clerk, in a very monotoned voice, said "I have a box that will fit that better back here." Cool. I hesitatingly put the gifts on the counter, hoping that he'd get the box and I could pack it before he actually looked at what I had brought in. Let's just say that my brother and I share a love for weird, random, and inappropriate humor. Our tradition of sending odd birthday cards and gifts is a time-honored legend among the family. That doesn't mean I wish to share it with the overly-serious kid at UPS. To my dismay, I had to leave my items on the counter for all to see as he entered my address and my brother's address into the system. Then when I was finished paying, he moved right along to the next customer in line without moving or hiding my gift. I have no idea how long it took before it was packed, and I hope he didn't take the time to read....or even look at...the items. While my brother and I can appreciate borderline racist cards, silly drawings, and sparkly Lumpy Space Princess necklaces decorating a Home Depot gift card, I don't necessarily want strangers looking into our silliness that way. But I guess that's my own damn fault for not packing it up before I got there. Anyway, I paid way too much but it got there when he said it would get there. read more

I don't expect customer service staff to be overly friendly, but I do expect courteous service. My husband and I have visited the Olson UPS Store 3 times in the past month. Each time we were served by a male clerk who barely acknowledged us and acted like our presence and business in his store was a total inconvenience. Today, again, he was surly and rude; seemed annoyed by the paperwork we brought in and angrily punched numbers onto the computer keyboard. By contrast, we have also visited the Gold River UPS store where our items have been courteously accepted and a receipt promptly given with no "drama". The Olson store is more convenient but I will never go there again. read more

#Melvin was excellent! My other Rancho Cordova UPS store failed to inform me that my Son's new In-Laws would be charged the duty and taxes for delivery in Ireland. I vagley remember that happens, but forgot. It's been years since I had to do international shipping. I asked my local UPS Store the charge for shipping to Ireland, but the counter person failed to mention duty and taxes would be charged!!!! That item should have been told to me so I could pay it or contact my new family members, etc. etc... Melvin, gave me the International toll free number and exact information I needed to complete my order. Prior to calling Melvin, I spent 3 hrs calling main UPS's # everywhere with no satisfaction. Got a P.O. Box with them because we were in between houses and when I shit it down they didn't inform me that I couldn't just do another address forward request. Called them after receiving a notice from USPS that the company I rented the box from has to forward my mail. When I finally spoke to the manager he said I would have to pay them to forward my mail or contact every single company sending me mail and do a change of address with them instead. Know I get to spend a lot of hours on the phone to a lot of companies when one form should have taken care of it. Had I known what a pain it was going to be I would have just had it forwarded to a friends house instead. read more

I went in to use their notary services for a credit card dispute. First and foremost, the R&B music they were playing was loud and obnoxious. When I had a question about where to sign, the woman behind the counter was rude and answered "Its your paperwork, I dont know." Then, I needed the notarized papers faxed. She grabbed the paperwork without saying a work and faxed it then took off behind a wall and sat down talking to another employee, completely ignoring me. I stood there waiting for about 5 minutes, looking like an idiot and feeling like I was causing her an inconvenience for taking her away from her conversation. Oh. I should have read the reviews before I came here. Steer clear of this sketchy little place if you can! The folks who work there are nice enough, but can't seem to actually get things to their destination. When mailing a package for Christmas, the address auto-corrected in the computer. We argued with the girl that it was wrong, but she told me the computer knew better and the drivers do that route every day even if it WAS wrong, so it'd get there anyway. I acquiesced, as there was quite a line behind me and she wouldn't fix it. Today is January 8th, the package is not there. However their "super helpful" customer service line says she can pick up her package, which'll be at their facility for two more days until it comes back here, at which point I'm going to have to bust some heads cause this is just freaking ridiculous. In transit, they were unable to change the address even though the package was listed as undeliverable, and they said they'd call me and the recipient. Did they? Of course not. Don't bother with this UPS store, I personally won't be bothering with them in general ever again. read more

Wish I would have read yelp before I went there this morning to mail a package to my dad. Yep, same snotty girl at the counter. There was one girl in the back eating and acting a fool. No name tag on the one that helped me, so don't know who or what her name was but it sounds like the same snide person discribed from the other comments made on this site. Total attitude. When she asked for my first name to type it into the system I gave it to her and then she looked at me with a blank stare for the rest of my name. I said "what?". lol I knew what she wanted cause I sized her up as soon as she opened her mouth. Had to give a little attitude back. Felt good. This place is ghetto. Won't be going back. Neither will any of my friends, I'll be sure of that. Best revenge is to not shopping where you treat the customer like dirt.
