We've chosen this UPS Store for quite some time because it's the closest location to Dayton, and we've always appreciated the helpful service from most of the staff. Unfortunately, our experiences with the manager, Jerome, have been consistently uncomfortable. On multiple visits, his comments and demeanor have given us the impression that our business--particularly Amazon returns--is unwelcome. Today was a good example: we came in with four pre-packaged boxes, one of which simply needed to be dropped off. As soon as we walked in, he looked at the boxes and remarked, "Those can't all be returns." My wife felt put on the spot and replied that they were, and his response was an audible sigh that made us both feel like an inconvenience. Other employees have mentioned that a large portion of the store's daily traffic is Amazon returns, so the attitude is especially confusing. Customers shouldn't feel guilty for using services that are core to the business. Because of these repeated experiences, we've decided it's worth driving to the other Carson City location--despite the extra distance--to avoid feeling unwelcome. We value good service, and it's disappointing to feel pushed away from the store we've supported for so long. read more

I have been using this location for years the owner Gabriel has always been great. Well today I had an issue when the so called manager insisted on yelling at me claiming he is the manager and the owner would back up his abuse of me. I will never go back and make sure no one I know goes into this location I used to use this location 2 times a week. Guy in there was rude. Just wanted to get my fingerprints done. They don't do it there and instead of kindly saying no we don't do that here but you can go to the one on Topsy Lane and they can do it for you, he was abrupt and rude and just said no they didn't do that. read more

I dropped off a prepaid UPS package to be delivered to T-Mobile. It disappeared with my cell phones in it. Tracking shows it was dropped off at this UPS store location, and it did not move from there. Because I did not pay for the shipping I cannot make a lost package claim. T-Mobile is even worse to deal with. I suspect possible internal theft. read more

I returned two Amazon items and was only credited for one. When I returned to the store less than an hour later, the woman I spoke with remembered the two items I returned. She told me it was my fault for not realizing the second item wasn't accounted for in the return. Three clerks stood behind the desk saying they couldn't do anything before one went in the back and 2 seconds later returned with my item. The whole time, one woman Golbhi (sp?) was extremely rude. When I asked to speak with a manager they said none were there. When I asked when a manager would be in the store they said they were on vacation and they had no idea when they'd return. read more

I use the store for my Amazon returns and some shipping. The staff is always very helpful and efficient. Even when the line is long, it seems to move pretty fast. And I love the fact that they acknowledge that you're there and that you're having to wait. read more

I went into the UPS Store in Carson City, NV on Williams Street. I was pleasantly surprised the older owner had retired and he sold the store to Gabriel. Gabriel is the best and knows what he is doing. That place gets very busy and many people are trying to send Christmas packages to family and friends. The line went out the door and Gabriel was faxing paper work for me (22 pages) or more. He told me to wait while they were faxing, but it takes awhile and to wait at the desk. He then helped lots of customers while the fax machine was still faxing. He is the BEST! When the first have of my papers went through, he put the rest in to fax. Read some reviews here and I feel sad that people can not understand that this is a franchise store and they are NOT UPS. They provide services that offer UPS. Anyways. SERGIO is the man! He stayed 30 minutes late with me to finish 28 SIGNATURE LINES OF NOTARY! He was a rockstar with such a wonderful attitude. The other UPS Store locations in Carson City do not have a constant notary service. I have to call every time to make sure someone is in. Most unprofessional service ever. We tried to call in but no answer on the phone. We walk in and there are quite a few people, so we asked if they have a notary. They said they did and 2 other people were also waiting. The notary was on a break but was expected back in 10 minutes and one of the people waiting actually had an appointment so we decided to wait. And wait and wait. The only employee finally called the notary and told him there were 3 people waiting and he said he decided to take a lunch and referred all of us to another place, which was closed. The employee then called the 2 other notaries on staff. One did not answer and one would not come in, but we could meet him at his home. We left and called Peacocke Notary and Donna met us at the Starbucks in 7 minutes. Call Donna, save yourself a wasted day. read more

Horrible customer service. I have shipped from UPS stores in Reno and they have always asked for the information and printed out the label. At this store the two employees were too engrossed in their conversation and gave me labels to hand write. Not the biggest deal but I had multiple packages and instead of offering help, their conversation was more important. read more

Why would I order something to be shipped? Oh that's right, so it would be delivered to ME. 7/20 Since the UPS driver cannot seem to knock on a door or ring a doorbell, now I have to go pick it up? Can I get some of that delivery fee back? 7/21 Go to pick it up, stores closed for "remodeling". Right...remodeling. I call the number on the back of the slip and the girl says that I can pick it up at 8am Monday, not real happy about it but what can I do. 7/23 Go to the store Monday 10am (tried to give them time to open),the girl at the counter says package won't be there until noon, and I can't pick it up until 2pm. Seriously WTF!? Not her fault, but at this point I don't care. I don't know what the first person was talking about. This store has been nothing but professional and helpful every time I have dealt with them on the phone or in person. The other store in town is the store that he must be talking about. The E. William Street store forwards your mail for $1 plus the cost of shipping where the other store charges $5 plus shipping. On numerous occasions I have asked for the name and the phone number of the owner of the other store only to be told that they could not give out that information but the E. William store's owner actually works there. I would definitely recommend the E. William Street store. read more

I have dropped off two packages at this store in the last week or so. One was time sensitive legal documents that I paid to have shipped locally from this store. A couple days after I received the documents in my mailbox because the ups store had made a mistake on the shipping label. The other package I sent on a different day, same store was an expensive item that I was returning. I dropped the package to be shipped with the sellers pre made package label. After the painful mistake the store made on shipping the documents I grew concerned over the package with the expensive item and I learned that it was never shipped from the store. I don't know if it was stolen by an employee as the clerk knew it was an expensive item or just lost. These mistakes the store made are going to cost me a lot of money and some very real problems. I was nervous shipping UPS after reading the reviews but I've had problems with FedEx, so... The young lady at the William St UPS store in Carson City was helpful. I tracked the box to Plano, Texas & IT WAS DELIVERED ON TIME & IN GOOD CONDITION. The only drawback was the cost, $62 to ship 20 lbs, that included $8 insurance.
