UPDATE: I wrote this several months ago but Yelp didn't post it. It's important that this particular UPS store on Harbor & Baker in Costa Mesa, and Kimberly in particular, gets a proper shout out :) Kimberly demonstrated FIVE STAR :) customer service and created an excellent experience when I needed notary services and shipping for vital legal documents. The store was very busy but the entire staff kept customer service flowing efficiently and with a smile; when I approached Kimberly her warm smile and incredibly efficient demeanor got me in and out of the store in a very short time, with great guidance per my transaction and I really appreciate that approach. Having my own small business and having worked retail somewhat over the years, where customer engagement is concerned, good, but increasingly rare, is great customer engagement therefore I appreciate it even more... practice "The Golden Rule" with each and every client, customer and transaction. Proper engagement being vital to businesses, whether small or large, it matters when people receive recognition for jobs well done (instead of just negative feedback). Especially in this day & age of social media where lots of bad interactions are featured, it seems much more beneficial to put the spotlight on great people doing good & great things for others. That may sound old-fashioned but it's true and Kimberly is a gem and a true asset to her team & UPS as a whole. Could not find receipt for tracking number so I went back to UPS store for help. I could not remember the details of receiver so they could not immediately find it. Had a horrific experience at this location. My mother dropped off a package for me for usps. They claim that usps picks up packages and then delivers so I trusted my package was safe. It's been about a month and my package never arrived to the destination and was just lost. It was never even received/scanned by usps. I contacted the store manager and never got emails responded to and they never reached out with a resolution. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

This review is for Abraham: I couldn't even imagine writing a review about a UPS Store but the service today was so great that I had to. Abraham was incredibly helpful and patient as I fumbled through my Amazon codes and shipping slips. The last time I was in there I forgot a code and the lady said I needed to come back with it printed out. They are always super nice to us, at this UPS store! Half the time, I walk in with a package to return or something weirdly sized or temperature sensitive to ship and they have always been great at helping (you know, finding that right mix of price and shipping speed). I took my TV to the UPS store in Costa Mesa 92627 to have it sent to my new address in Florida. The attendant dropped my TV and I said I hope you didn't break it. When it came to Florida it was broken. Now the owner of the store is claiming oh no there's no way I could prove that his agent broke the TV when it fell. He's refusing to reimburse me for the TV or the shipping charges. read more

Heads up if you're going to print a word document via usb drive: Make sure it's in a .doc format and NOT .docx format. (Their version of word is a little old). Why 5 Stars then? I'm basing off the excellent customer service I was provided. I saw another review on here that said that Monica went above and beyond. I'm sure she did! Because she did the same for me. This store is great! I get noticed when my mail comes in. When I leave town they will forward my mail with ease. They are always friendly, helpful and responsive no matter how busy they are. Phenomenal on the phone as well when I call to check my mailbox. Too many places are put out by such requests but they are always happy to accommodate and give great service! read more

The parking here is horrible. It's on the corner of Harbor and Baker, very busy, and the store itself is in-between Marukai and a Little Caesar's, and the small lot also has a flower shop on the corner. It can be difficult to get in and find a spot so you can run your package in, despite the "UPS Store only" signs (does anyone ever respect those? I've never seen anyone call a towing agency to enforce them). God forbid you try to drive back out again. Once you got your space, and take in your package, the ladies working there are always WAY too busy talking to help you. Luckily most of mine is simple drop-off, so I don't actually NEED more than the grunt I always make sure to get for acknowledgement. Because of all this, I only use UPS as a last resort...the FedEx facility is nearly as close, or I can go to Kinko's late at night...Brown just isn't doing it for me. read more

Owner has major attitude problems. I went there to ship a large box by UPS. Asked for help getting it out of my car. Instead of agreeing to help, he said he would loan me a cart. I said that I really needed help getting it out of my car. He sarcastically said "you got it into your car" I asked him, why the attitude? He then told me that he would not ship the box, and that I needed to leave his store immediately, or he would call the police. When I tried to ask him why, when he was the one with the attitude, he kept telling me that he had a sign that said he could refuse serve to anyone without a reason and he was going to call the police. I think he does this all the time. He has a major problem and is lazy. He went to the phone to call the police, so I left. During this entire time, I was never abusive to him, or raised my voice. Take your business to one of the office supply stores instead. You can refuse to give him business and not give a reason. read more

I would very highly recommend this UPS Store location. I was sent there by UPS to pick up a package. When I arrived it was not there. I was very frustrated. Every employee in the store was friendly, helpful and sympathetic. Seeing I was not sure what to do to locate my missing package, the store owner George walked over to me and said he will help me out. He then called UPS and inquired about my missing package. He then escalated the call to a supervisor as the first person did not have the answers we needed. He did everything he could to help me out. I was not even there as a customer, a regular or even there to spend a dime. Yet he still spent about 20-30 minutes on the phone on my behalf. This is the type of customer service we don't see anymore. If you need any of the services a UPS Store offers, I would go out of my way to use this particular location. read more

Drop off many packages here over the past 6 months. Over the past month FEB 2022, two packages have been lost here. Total value of lost items over 500 dollars. I have the UPS drop off receipt for both package showing I dropped it off. The UPS tracking says it has been dropped off and last scan is this store. I came to the store twice to check on where it may be. They never called back and gave me info on what to do. I filed a claim and UPS claim it could not be found but did not provide me anything for the lost package or a call or email. Please do not drop off your packages here. read more

Went in for sending some faxes. Service was prompt and courteous. One dollar a page seems a little steep, but I supposed they have to pay for rent and other operating cost as well. I have never gone to a UPS store by myself and I came in to mail books to Chegg. I assumed that there would be boxes large enough to fit all my textbooks but there wasn't so I started to worry that they wouldn't take my books and I would have to pay at USPS for priority shipping.
