I shipped an overnight package through their store that was delivered late. I called them to request a refund. They put in a request with UPS and gave me a claim #. When I called UPS customer service to follow up, they couldn't find that # and told me the package wasn't late. I was very frustrated and called Jim (the store manager). He said he would make a call and clear it up. Today I received an email that the claim was approved and I would receive a refund shortly. Used to be a friendly place to do your shipping. Now they nickel and dime every single thing, Not sure if it's the owner's policy or a UPS policy, but I had an outbound package I was dropping off with a UPS label already on it. The label itself had become slightly damaged and needed to be re-printed. They wanted to charge me just to print a new shipping label (ridiculous). I get it if you are showing up with a bunch of packages to ship and taking up a bunch of time... but one a one-off damaged label, on a slow day with no one else in the store, to charge for such a small task is ridiculous. Shipping labels are replaced all the time by UPS during the transit process when they become damaged, I'm sure the store wastes a bunch of shipping labels throughout the day (heck they use them to print their receipts for shipping confirmations) - so really there is zero good reason to charge for something like this. Yes it's small, but it's the principle of it that leads to a bad customer experience like this. read more

My wife came in to return Amazon packages. There was confusion about how it was to be done and she left unhappy. I talked to owner Jim today and he explained all the issues and it was actually entirely Amazon's fault (I verified it on my own as well so I know he was telling the truth). I no longer come here. Too much of a hassle, not worth the stress. The only time i come here is when I have to shop at Albertson nearby. Multiple time i come here the employees always have an attitude. One time i came at open to dropped off 3 medium size boxes, an older gentlemen sighed and told me he cant take them because there capacity is full. Another time i dropped off 7 boxes, and they told me next time to not bring your boxes here again because its too many boxes. The employees always moan and groan and give me a hard time. They make dumb smart remarks. The only time they were nice to me is when a strange women worked there for a day. I guess she was the boss. Now i go to the one down the street from them. On 10/3/20, assuming that a 12 inches x 12 inches x 8 inches box that I sent on 11/15/19 through The UPS Store at 18627 Brookhurst St. was received by its intended recipient, but not sure, as I had not previously done UPS Tracking on it, I did UPS Tracking on it, and UPS Tracking said, "UPS could not locate the shipment details for this tracking number. Details are only available for shipments made within the last 120 days." On 10/3/20, I asked a UPS Customer Service Agent for proof of delivery. According to the UPS's records that the UPS Customer Service Agent gave me on 10/3/20, The UPS Store at 18627 Brookhurst St. signed off for and received one parcel delivered on 11/19/19 at 11:37 AM, and it was left at their "CUSTOMER'S FRONT DESK." On 10/4/20, a UPS Customer Service Agent told me that the package that I sent on 11/15/19 through The UPS Store at 18627 Brookhurst St. was not accepted by its intended recipient and that it should be in the store, but the UPS Customer Service Agent said that they most likely do not have it, because it was almost a year ago. On 10/5/20, an employee at The UPS Store at 18627 Brookhurst St. told me that, if it were returned to them, they would have contacted me, and the employee correctly said the numbers of my home phone number to me, saying that is the number that they would have called me by. On 10/6/20, the same employee told me that he does not think it ever came back. On 10/6/20, the manager of the store told me in an email, "Anytime we receive a package that has been returned to us, our protocol is to contact the sender to pick up the package or re ship." On 10/6/20, the store manager told me in an email, "It could have been assigned for delivery on 11/19/2019 and never made it off the truck." If the scenario of it never getting off the truck is true, then there is fault with the store for signing off for a returned package while not actually getting it off the truck. Alternatively, if it was left on their "CUSTOMER'S FRONT DESK" like UPS's records show, and it is no longer at their store, then there is still fault with the store. Either way, there is fault with the store for not contacting me about the return as per their protocol. Because there is fault with the store, I made a request to the store. On 10/7/20, I asked the store for a refund or store credit for $130.05, which were the current prices on 10/7/20 of the package's contents, including tax, without including the price of a green sheet of paper which was inside. On 10/12/20, the store manager told me in an email, "Regarding your request for payment of $130.05, for the package sent 11/15/2019; UPS has a 90-day time limit for submitting claims, and after 6 months, UPS does not retain tracking, or scan histories, and therefore cannot open a claim. Due to the late submission of your claim, we are sorry, but we are denying your request for payment." On 10/13/20, a UPS Store Customer Service Agent told me that, in my case, it is up to the store whether or not they want to give me a refund or store credit. It is the store's choice in my case, and the store should choose to give me a refund or store credit due to there being fault with the store. read more

I waited in line for 10 minutes, to be informed they charge $3.50 for a single page shipping label! They also wanted to sell me USPS envelope/package that is free at all post offices or other UPS locations. Really seems like highway robbery to charge for something that is provided for free from the shipper. Feels like a "gotcha" because you've already invested the time to stand in line then have to pay exorbitant fees to print a single page or pay for a free envelope. I'll go elsewhere. read more

I usually don't need to go to an overnight delivery store. I usually do things at work if I'm in need of such service. But I need to renew my passport and needed to send it in a trackable package. I went in and the guys gave me all my options and recommended that I use the USPS service if I didn't need to get the package to them the next day. He saved me a few bucks and let me have all my options to choose from. I really liked how they provided the customer with options and let the customer choose instead of just telling them it will cost this much (highest possible price). My experience here today was so ridiculously bad, it was laughable. I usually come here to do Amazon returns and always try to be efficient and quick about it by having all my returns in packaging ready to go and return codes screenshotted. I walked in and was greeted by a miserable looking man who said he could help me with my returns. So I walked up to the counter, and stood on the same side of the counter I always do for my returns or anything else, only to have him tell me that I would have to get on the other side with my phone where the scale was. He proceeded to drop my package on the scale. Now, I have done Amazon returns here multiple times, and this is never necessary since Amazon already precalculates the weight of the item. Regardless of whether or not you put an Amazon return package on the scale, the confirmation receipt will always have that information. Also, everyone else who's ever helped me has magically been able to bring the scanner over to the other side of the counter where they usually have me wait. Somehow, this man couldn't...or should I say, wouldn't. Anyway, deciding that I would pick and choose my battles, I decided to just go with the flow and ignore his ridiculousness. It would have all been forgotten, until he asked if I wanted my receipt and after I stated that I did, proceeded to not hand it to me directly on the same side of the counter where he told me to stand, but held it out on the opposite side and waited for me to pick it up. Excuse me... What? I get sometimes people are having a rough day, but this was just extremely poor training and customer service. I have never had a bad experience with anyone else here up until this point, and I have been here countless times. If this was my first experience, I would never come back, but since it's not and I've had wonderful experiences with everyone else, I'll still come back and just avoid dealing with this guy in the future.
