To be clear, I sell products online and ship about one UPS package per day. I pay for my shipping online and only use the UPS store to drop-off my pre-labeled pacakges. So, the only thing this UPS store needed to do was scan my label and give me a receipt. The extra $10 charge was a charge that only this UPS store has ever charged me. I normally go to the UPS store at Homestead and Kiely. They have never added any additional charges and I have dropped off packages that were over 100lbs. I have also gone to about a half dozen other UPS stores and never had this type of charge added on. read more

I have not used them for any other services so can't comment on that, but the shipments are a breeze. Katy was extremely careful with our documents, reading over parts of it to check for any errors(which she helped us find) and offering a solution to my document error that was appropriate. Pretty incompetent staff. I went to return a package and in its original packaging and they couldn't figure out how to apply the label. Finally they tried to trick me into buying tape that I didn't need to fix the label onto the package. Basically forcing the onus of their job onto the customer. Weaponized incompetence at its finest. I recently went to this location for passport photos. The staff was kind and courteous. The staff person who took my photo was detail oriented making sure that my hair and face was being photographed according to U.S passport requirements. It took a few minutes for the photos to be printed, cut and then handed to me in a small folder. I appreciated the attentiveness and service received. This store is clean and conveniently located with ample parking. read more

Kate at the UPS store 4646 in Cupertino wanted me to pay $3 for emailing a label to the store email. The previous day at a Cambell - office 1964, they told me to send the label to the office email at no charge. I'm impressed about how some managers do so well in keeping clients happy with their service and making things easy for the customer, and some others hurt the image of their company. Kate, you made my day highly complex. The fact that the day before, another manager, another shop, let me send an email with the label to the store and solve my need right away, and you asked for an extra $3 after paying 20 for the service makes me feel that your office doesn't care about customers. I came to ship some documents to someone. The worker was on the phone trying to set up their store wifi and made me wait at least 15 minutes. Meanwhile, the owner was there, but never once offered to help me while I was stuck waiting here until I asked for him to help me as she was nowhere near done with her phonecall. When he finally decided to help with my shipping transaction, I was finally able to leave after being stuck there for over 25 minutes. Ridiculous, poor customer service. read more

I had the same experience as Jack who left a review in December 2020. Except this time, it was two rude Indian ladies. Before I can finish my question regarding printing a label, she says the label is on my phone. What? She didn't even know what label I'm talking about (I had 5 packages to return via Amazon). She made the assumption the label a bar code that needed to be scanned and told me nothing needs to be printed. Incorrect...! I came in for two things: 1) return 4 Amazon packages that I had return bar codes for on my phone 2) print a label for one of them that was not a code One piece of paper was $2.00. Personally being exposed to COVID everyday, I wouldn't want to put others at risk by going anywhere in person. However, there are online notary options in this pandemic. Reading up on this, my dad went to Michelle who refused to even listen to him or offer an alternative or any sort of help. I tried to explain my situation to Michelle on FaceTime and she started yelling at me before I could even finish my sentence. I don't know if she was having a bad day today or this is her general behavior towards customers, but Michelle was extremely degrading and Michelle kept acting like she couldn't understand my dad with his accent. We should all be helping each other out during times like this and I'd understand if nothing could be done in my situation, but Michelle refused to even listen to us and instead made us feel belittled and unwelcome. I have never written a bad Yelp review because I believe that I have a high tolerance, but Michelle from the notary department's actions were so degrading and rude that I felt compelled to share this experience and will advice on not going here when Michelle is working. read more

I had a bunch of stuff I had bought and accumulated during a 10 day business trip to Cupertino - and there was no way it was all going to fit into my suitcase. So I hauled it over to the UPS Store and had them package it up and ship it home for me. Prices seem kind of high - I paid just over $100.00 for everything. I was going to come here to write a bad review but I guess everyone already beat me to it. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but sheer incompetence is hard. I came to ask about their simple rate plan which is a flat rate shipping service. The 2 ladies in there had no idea what that was. I even pulled up the UPS website and said here it is, right on your website it says simple rate shipping for a flat fee. They said that UPS is owned by different franchises and they don't do that?!? Wtf? That's like going into McDonald's and they decide they aren't going to serve Big Macs and fries. Anyways I went online and did my own research and apparently you use your own box and buy the label and then drop it off. But to not even know that UPS has this program? I just want to make a point that they do change for printing labels it is fair because we could definitely print labels ourselves and bring them in with us when we are ready to return items using their location. otherwise if come in with return items and no return labels you are using their equipment to print return labels guys is a business that is your responsibility pay for printing service Remember that still you could have print the labels yourself this is a small local business we should be supportive we should be considered the entitlement attitude isn't reasonable. If for any reason you are so broke that you can't afford to pay for labels find a way that you can print out your labels for free come in and drop off your items to be returned get your return receipt and leave. The United States postal services is cheaper however a lot of business aren't working with USPS and still when you go to the post office you have to pay for boxes and labels at more affordable price and they are pretty strict about the way you sent a package sometimes you have to pay extra for weight or for a different box. kindness goes both ways be polite to the employees back being a customer doesn't give you the right to be rude unless you're not being supportive and their ways to treat you and other people is unkind definitely should be reported. The Indian woman in this store was supper rude. I came to return an a purchase, Amazon doesn't require packaging for return anymore, but this item does which I didn't pay enough attention to it. I was surprised to found out, she showed me the return code and insulted me: only if you can read. After reading other reviews, I realized customers have complained about these Staffs' terribly service for years, yet there is no improvement. She was friendly and professional even though it's a pandemic and raining ash outside today. She helped me mail out the documents I had signed. One employee (around age 40 to 50 and her race is Indian) who works there is extremely rude and unprofessional. She once rejected my return because I did not tape my item. This is a mailing service, and you refuse your customer tape to secure their package? Another employee on the other hand greeted me and took care of me very well by providing tape. Also, I have dropped off multiple items here for the purpose of Amazon return and many items have gone missing after I contacted Amazon. I'd have to agree that the customer service here is not a priority. I came here once to drop off a package that was labeled and ready to go and the lady gave me a bunch of crap for dropping it off at the end of the day because it was UPS Ground and it wouldn't be able to go out until the following day. She didn't understand why I dropped it off so late and was quite rude to me. Listen lady, you are open until a certain time and I have every right to come in and drop off a package that is pre-labeled for shipping during those designated business hours. Does she not realize some people have to work and can't drop off packages in the middle of the day? I come to this Ups Store a lot. At least once a month and maybe twice a week. It is to ship stuff i have sold online for my boss. We always print our own labels on Paypal and never use their services as they are quite expensive. I think it is a family run operation as i see a couple much of the time or a younger girl every so often. When i first started coming to this location i did not have my labels in order and they were very irritated at me. i always make sure my package is ready to go now whenever i have something to drop off. They can be quite busy but i always try to have a nice smile for them and quickly put my package off to the side in the delivery drop off area. This constant being nice to them has really brought out their good side. They always pause and smile for me and have a kind word. i have yet to buy anything from this store but i may some day. read more

Wow unbelievable Multiple experiences that were awful. The husband in front is so helpful and kind, but wow when you run into his wife. She truly is the definition of mean, bitter, and hates her job. One time I wanted to make a shipment for my best friends birthday, she demanded to know what was in the box. I said a watch. She replied you can say it's anything, I don't believe you. Denied sending the standard small cardboard box. Today, i walked in with my mom. We happily say hello. She glares and refused to say hi back. We stood there in line even though no one was there and she looked at us not wanting to give service. Finally, I said are we next, she replied "what do you want". Seriously!? I had 2 amazon shipping codes on my phone for a return. One was head phones and the other was a cracked phone protector. Once again, packaged properly in the standard yellow rectangle package. Again, she demanded to know what was in those packages. This is crazy. All the years of amazon and ebay, since when do workers ask what your buying or returning. I told her ear phones and a cracked phone cover and that amazon already gave me shipping codes for the return. She refused service and refused to discuss anything further. When I ask her why, and that this was not the first time, she then brings up my bleached hair. Said he only reason I'm "lighter" is because I dyed me hair!!! This is crazy and unheard of. This whole time her refusing service was personal and had nothing to do with UPS packaging. I don't know if this is a cultural difference that she struggles with, but it's California- the most diverse place ever. Cali is known for "lighter" bleached blondes. Who cares. I plan on reporting her and her store number to district and regionals at UPS. Discrimination from someone who is not successful or fulfilled in life. He has an amazing customer service skill, I have ever seen. When ever I have AMAZON returns, I go for the option, UPS pick up and my returns has not been picked up for multiple times from the UPS man. I have to go the store and return it, in-spite of selecting the UPS pick up option. But when ever it was picked up, it was this guy name, Elliot. First time here and I'm never going back. The woman with the grey hair who works here had the worst attitude. The first thing she says to me is "Why can't anyone get it right today?" as she is referring me bringing in my package without the shipping label taped to the box. I told her that I thought they provided a shipping pouch. She then tells me that she will take care of it and then grabs my box and shipping label and stacks it on a pile of other packages on the counter. I walk out concerned so I return to the store and I politely asked her if I can see her attach the label. I just wanted to be sure that it gets done because it's important. And then she replies, "If you want to see it done, then YOU have to buy a roll of tape and tape it yourself!" That's when I took my package out of the pile and left. I had a USPS package that needed to be dropped off. An Indian lady behind the counter would not take the package. She said USPS is in front pointing to a USPS truck parked near a neighboring business. I think by law, all UPS locations are required to accept USPS mail and packages. I didn't really feel like lecturing her, so I left. I came back later and found another lady who was very nice and accepted the package. Very sad place to do business. read more

I came here to drop off my amazon packages this past Saturday around mid-day. The line was long and I thought it was going to take forever. But there was one particular associate who went above and beyond with her job. I couldn't get her name but she was Asian with a bun. I don't normally see her but i think she's the notary associate. The store limited the capacity of 2 people at a time. I guess one person was doing notary and the other associate was scanning drop offs. The associate was running in and out of the store scanning packages, getting receipts, doing notary. I even seen her go out of her way and help a couple with their documents in line. She cleared that line! This store has 2 stars but i think that day it should be beyond 5 stars. Thank you miss! I hope she's working every time I have to stop by. read more
