I used UPS on Friday, 4/26, to print some documents and send a very important and time sensitive…read morelegal document. The print job was easy enough: $3 for 14 pages. Uriel, the gentleman that helped me, gave incorrect information about when the legal document I was mailing would be picked up. He confidently stated that USPS had not come to pick up any certified mail yet and would be coming by the end of the day. He estimated it would be sent the following day since it was being sent within Denton. At the time of writing this, it is 4 PM on the following Monday and my document has still not been picked up. I called the store and the woman I spoke to said the USPS doesn't always come at the same time. This is understandable and I wish this would've been told to me by Uriel when I initially dropped off the document. If I had known this I would've taken the document to USPS myself. Now the legal proceedings I'm trying to initiate are delayed due to Uriel's oversight. Edit: It's now Wednesday May 1st and my letter still has not been delivered. The letter was taken to Fort Worth and is being brought back to Denton. I understand that UPS can't control what another business does, but the employee should not have stated that it would be delivered the next day; does he not know the process of USPS picking up certified mail? Surely this is the normal routine done by USPS. This is extremely upsetting as again I am trying to initiate legal proceedings and they can't be started until the letter is delivered. This is causing a lot of unnecessary stress. Will not be conducting business here again.

This young kid asks me what I am shipping. I reply cutlery. He then asks me what kind of cutlery? He asked is it a spoon, a knife, etc? I thought that was really odd as I have never been asked these questions beyond a description of what I am shipping. But then he asks specifically he asked if it was a folding knife as it was in a really small box. I told him it was a folding knife. He then says he will need to open my sealed package and measure the knife because they can't ship a knife over 4 inches. WHAT? since when? I had to pack this a certain way and this kid wants to open my package. I told him absolutely you cannot open my package and no it's not over 4 inches however that should not matter. So if I was shipping a chef knife for example as a gift, return or whatever and that is 5-6 inches...this UPS will not ship it? I call BS on this. The other two UPS Stores in Denton have never had a problem when I shipped a piece of cutlery. Ever. I think either this store makes up their own rules or this kid was asking what was in my sealed package for unsavory reasons. I will be filling a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and with whoever runs the location and who is over this location. Asking me 20 questions like I am some kind criminal or something. I don't think so.

I like this store and it was apart of my routine. I don't want them to leave but I guess they must. Plus many residents of Denton who live nearby would rather go there then the post office it's just easier. The SAD news is today we all got notes stating they will be closing because the animal clinic next door wants to buy them out and the owner of the buildings won't allow them to renew lease. So we'll all have to go to another location. Sad. I really, really love this place. It's very clean. They are super professional and you can count on them. I like this place Their last day is Oct. 31, 2015. So sad but.. they will be missed.

Disappointing policy change that penalizes small resellers…read more I've used this pack-and-mail location regularly for my reselling business, typically dropping off 15-20 packages per week across multiple carriers. One of the main reasons I chose this location was convenience: they have pickups from all major vendors in one place and it's always been a pleasant experience up until recently. I print my own labels and pack my own items, which I'm fully aware they offer as paid services. However, doing that work myself is how I keep costs down for my business. Despite this, comments have been made in the past implying that by only using the drop-off service, I'm "not making them any money." As of January 1st, I was informed that if I drop off more than three packages, I'll be charged $2 per package just to drop them off. That means a quick, one-minute interaction to scan packages and provide a receipt now comes with a fee. I understand the economy is tough and businesses are trying to increase revenue. However, this policy feels especially frustrating when every other pack-and-mail store and all major carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) offer free drop-off, with USPS even providing free at-home pickup. This change feels less like a reasonable adjustment and more like being penalized for doing the work myself and using what was previously a free, basic service. While the cost itself may be small, it's the principle that matters. For those who rely on this location solely for high-volume drop-offs like I did, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Unfortunately, that's exactly what I'll be doing in the new year.
