This review is about the "manager," Athena. Yesterday, I walked into the store and immediately noticed Athena having a very intense interaction with the customer ahead of me. I had no idea what had happened before I entered, so I can't speak on the details of that interaction, but the atmosphere in the store already felt uncomfortable and tense the moment I walked in. Shortly after, the customer left, and Athena called me over to her register for assistance. From the very beginning, I was met with hostility and an unnecessarily rude tone. I had a larger Amazon return and simply explained that I wasn't sure whether it could go through the kiosk or not. Instead of offering help or guidance like most employees in customer service would, Athena coldly responded, "Well, it depends on the label." As a customer who obviously doesn't know what that means without additional explanation, I looked confused. Rather than clarifying or helping me understand, she simply repeated herself in the exact same rude tone as if that somehow answered my question. At that point, it became obvious she had absolutely no interest in helping me. There was no effort to guide me through the process, explain the difference between labels, or simply provide basic customer service. Instead, she left me standing there confused. I understand that retail and shipping environments can be stressful, but there is still a level of professionalism and patience expected from someone working directly with customers, especially someone in a management role. I took my package over to the kiosk anyway, still unsure of what I was doing. Fortunately, Ethan was working that day. My husband and I have visited this location many times before, and we have mostly dealt with Ethan during those visits. Every single interaction we've had with him has been excellent. He is always professional, patient, polite, and genuinely willing to help. We've noticed multiple times that when the store becomes busy or chaotic, Ethan is usually the person keeping things together. He helps customers efficiently while also assisting coworkers whenever they need support. Even while helping his own customers, he manages to multitask and maintain a positive attitude. He creates a calm environment, communicates respectfully, and actually seems to care whether customers leave the store having had a positive experience. When Ethan came over to help me, he immediately informed me that the kiosk would not have accepted my Amazon return and that it needed to be processed directly by an employee instead. He handled the return quickly and professionally without making me feel like I was inconveniencing him. The "manager" could have told me this from the beginning if she had cared enough to spend even thirty seconds helping me rather than dismissing me immediately. While Ethan was helping me, I asked for the manager's name because I intended to report the behavior I experienced, Ethan let me know the manager's name is Athena. Mind you, I had no idea the woman who I dealt with in the beginning was the manager and I didn't see a name tag. After leaving, I called the store and confirmed I was speaking with the same employee from earlier, Athena, who identified herself as the manager. She continued the same rude and dismissive tone over the phone. When I asked who she reports to, she replied sarcastically, "My boss." I then asked for a name, and she said she was "not allowed" to provide it, which was inconsistent since another employee had already shared her name without issue. She eventually stated she reports to someone named Adam, but then added that he "wouldn't care" or "wouldn't respond" because complaints like this "aren't important," which was incredibly dismissive and unprofessional. Athena's behavior was rude, hostile, dismissive, and completely lacking the basic people skills required for customer service, especially for someone managing a store and representing the business. The number of reviews mentioning Athena's poor behavior is genuinely concerning, and it's disappointing that ownership appears comfortable allowing customers to repeatedly have negative experiences with someone in a leadership position. Horribly rude. Had an Amazon return. Someone currently was using it. I waited in line. No one in front of me. Both people working walked away and acted busy. By the time she returned the person just left the kiosk. She stated I had to use the kiosk. I asked her if she could scan it and she said well. The kiosk is there for Amazon returns. I clarified and said so you're telling me that you can't scan it and she wouldn't answer the question just kept referring to the kiosk. Very not helpful horrible customer service. Terrible customer service. I stood in line for a long time just to return my packages and get them scanned. When it was finally my turn, the rude lady didn't even bother to call me up or acknowledge me. I had to walk up myself, and she rudely snapped "I'm not ready." Completely unprofessional and unnecessarily rude. If you don't want to help customers, don't work a front-facing job. A simple "I'll be with you in a moment" would've been fine, but instead I got attitude for no reason. The man who ended up helping me afterward was actually nice and did his job properly, but that was after dealing with an employee who clearly didn't want to help at all. Would not recommend this place to anyone. I came in to get papers notarized. I was translating for my mother because she doesn't hear nor speak English well. The lady that helped me was very rude. She told my mother to sign and get her id out. Because my mother cannot hear well, she asked to repeat what the clerk said. By seeing my mother asked me a question, she assumed she doesn't understand English. The comment she made was insulting: "because your mother cannot speak English, I can't understand her, she cannot get notorized here". I told her I can translate for my mother. The clerk said that I cannot understand your language, therefore, I cannot notorized you. She pushed the tablet away from my mother. I was flustered! To come in and you telling me that I can't help you because you don't speak nor understand English is wrong. This was around 11:12am on 4/2/26 today. I left numbed and humiliated that someone actually said that to me and my mother in this town. We actually went to another place and the person that helped us was very helpful. I do not normally write reviews but i have been here about 5 times the last two months. It wasn't just one visit. But every single time no matter who assists me, they have a terrible attitude. Everyone at this store working without a doubt. I work in customer service myself and I understand it gets stressful at times so I could understand a bad day but all the employees here are rude and unwelcoming probably the worst store/customer service i've truly ever had and every single visit is insane. The employees are very extremely passive aggressive and raising voices. My last visit was on friday and I tried doing the amazon return at the self kiosk but my QR code wouldn't scan I tried a few times. Listen, I am not elderly lol I know how to work technology and it truly was not working so I figured i'll just stand in line it's quick anyways. She didn't have a name tag but the employee did my return transaction and she was very passive aggressive with a terrible tone and said "This is an amazon return. This can ALWAYS! be done by yourself at the kiosk" i said yeah i tried it didn't work but i felt so shouted at and it truly made me never want to come here again. This isn't one interaction there's been several and I see how they treat customers. Either hire new employees or start smiling. The employees need to start smiling, be welcoming, helpful and nice tone. Service at this UPS Store location is extremely poor. The employee (didn't get her name) is not helpful, and actually makes for a terrible customer experience. When she's involved (other employees seem fine by comparison), it's at least two, sometimes three, trips to get my packages accepted. In the meantime, she tries to upsell everyone on buying packaging, even when boxes meet UPS accepted standards (I checked on this, and she is being discretional). It reminds me of the "Soup N*zi" episode from Seinfeld (no package for you!). Today, on my third visit for these latest attempted drop-offs (after changing boxes and re-printing labels), her scanner didn't function properly. She asked me to email a copy of the label to her, and when I did, she then tried to charge me $3.32 to send her the label (I'm very wary of these games and was 100% certain no charge was mentioned). I explained that she never mentioned a price (I would have taken it to another location at this point), and she got upset, said she "wasn't going to create a problem for me," and surprisingly took the package. I am usually sympathetic to people working in these environments, but I am simply not welcomed as a customer here and will avoid shipping here, except when absolutely necessary. I have had a mailbox with this UPS store since 2014. The price has increased annually, which I usually didn't mind due to the great customer service. However, since Joseph and Turquoise left, the customer service has been abysmal. Last year, after visiting the store multiple times, I was greeted by new employees who totally ignored me, had terrible attitudes, did not greet customers, or offered minimal to no assistance. I discussed this with my husband, who stated his experience had been the same. As a result, my husband and I decided to get rid of our UPS box after almost 11 years. Fast forward...Yesterday, I sent my husband to UPS to do some returns. He went to this UPS out of habit. He came home telling me that one of the female employees was rude to everyone who walked in the door while he was there. He stated the employee was slamming items on the counter and even refused to scan a return for a customer who asked to have a return scanned since he only had one item, and the self-scan was occupied. I had a very disappointing experience at your location. I came in to get a document notarized, and the associate had me sign in the wrong place. When I asked for help reprinting the form so I could fix the mistake, I was told they couldn't assist me because "we don't have internet," even though the error was on their end. I found the correct form on my phone and asked if they could print it, but was told, "We close in 5 minutes--come back Monday." This kind of response shows a lack of care for the customer, and it's not what I would expect from representatives of your business. Why does UPS have more than one employee at this location. They clearly don't need it. Even if there are no customers in line, the lady that works there pretends the scanner doesn't work and sends me to the kiosk. Every time that lady sees me, she sends me to the kiosk while she and another guy employee talk about how much they love each other and discuss other personal current events. The lady, Athena (tallish, blackish hair), which I assume is her name from all the other negative reviews about her, is so rude and stuck up. Came in to return to an Amazon product which is supposed to be a straight forward process. Demetrius informed me that box my product originally came in is an unacceptable box because it is not a "shipping box." Is not considered a shipping box if that is how the product was originally shipped to me? I informed Demetrius that I had done this before recently without incident, but Demetrius was determined I wasted my time making the trip to the store. When I questioned Demetrius on this so called policy, he said it has always been the policy, completely disregarding my previous statement. What made it more infuriating is that the customer right before me also had a return and she didn't even prepare a "shipping box" and she was in and out of the store in no time. I questioned Demetrius on this policy and asked to show me this policy in writing, which he failed to produced. Since Demetrius failed to produce any evidence of this this alleged policy, I am supposed to take his word. It appears the store either has no written policy or Demetrius simply does not want to be contradicted by his own words. Demetrius seemed very unsure himself as I asked him what is the difference between a "product box" and a "shipping box." I asked him several times and he produced several different answers which leads me to believe Demetrius does not know the store policy at all or he is just making it up. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this store and higher management will be taking care of this incident. I rarely go to this location because of the rudeness that I get from an employee named Athena. She is one of the rudest and curt person I have ever come across. I went to return a package that was sent to me from ups. I had to return it and was sent a return slip and just put it back on the box that was delivered to me from ups. She said that she can not accept a box that is white. I needed to repackage it in a brown box. I informed her that it was shipped to me from ups in this box, so is it only this location that doesn't accept white boxes? She said, "I cannot accept your package". She said she can charge me $8 to put it in their box. So, I had to leave and had my husband go drop it off later and the other person had no problem accepting it in the box that it was packaged in. I asked if we can review the CCTV to check if my package was really shipped and asked who was working during that day and they denied me. I will not be utilizing this location ever again. They messed up my label and placed it on another package. I asked about it explaining that my package never made it to its destination. They tracked the package and said it was delivered which was true however, it was another person contents. When I asked what I could do to find my expensive package they only offered $100 (UPS STANDARD) and an apology. They asked if I had insurance which I didn't because I was never offered. They are a busy location with typically only one person working which is probably why I'm stuck without my package. I know this is a huge company, UPS, and packages get lost but this is ridiculous! Consistency is key so training all notaries to follow procedures equally as to avoid misunderstandings with your future customers is highly recommended. ---- The young lady named P. Martinez #2380201 who is a notary public at this location made us come back 2 times to bring the full document and she literally flipped the pages and then handed it back to us. It is from my understanding NOT their job to make sure that the document is legitimate. We have never had to deal with this before. It is the notary a job to witness and verify the identity of whoever is signing and to legitimize that they are who they say they are by checking identification. This was a very huge waste of time. Also, while she is helping us she is rudely attending to another guest and half heartedly helping her so the lady is also getting frustrated on the computer. I have been a business customer here for many years and have taken my clients here to get papers notarized but I will take my clients somewhere else for these services moving forward. My amazon item was not available for return at Khols so i had no choice but to come to this location. Iam no expert in the ways of shipping and was hoping for a little understanding but instead received impatience and very disruptive behavior. I come to this location to drop off my Amazon packages. Located next to a few places to eat, coffee, desserts, and shopping. It's perfect for when I need something to eat or go grocery shop after. Parking is plentiful, but I feel could get busy during peak hours. But the lot is so huge, I'm sure parking wouldn't be hard to find. UPS is near the entry of the plaza so the traffic can get busy. Although my visit is usually short and quick, I enjoy coming to this location the most. The workers are all friendly and when there is a long line, they learn to work with each other and customers to help speed the process. read more

Positives: came in on a weekend, it was moderately busy. The woman servicing folks, was extraordinary as she multitasked. She even got a call in the middle of helping us and there were more customers lining up - she dealt with everything professionally. We came here to get a title deed notarized for asset/property family protection reason. $15 for notarizing. On top of that she warned us that due to our situation, only I needed to sign so we didn't need another signer for the unnecessary extra $15 - that was very impressive, I was thankful for that money saving tip. This location gives excellent customer service. Yes, there are long lines at times, but they really work hard to get packages out and people on their way. I encountered a huge shipping issue, when I accidentally returned a very expensive package to the wrong location! It was 100% my error, but the mistake was going to cause me to miss my return deadline and potentially have to keep a $1300 item I didn't want. My tracking said it would arrive at the wrong address in less than 24 hours. I thought it might be impossible to remediate, but I was wrong. I called the store, explained my situation, and provided my tracking number to Athena. She said she would see what she could do and would call me back. I hung up thinking it was a lost cause. To my surprise, Athena called me back rather quickly. She let me know she had successfully intercepted my package and that it was on its way to the correct return location. I was so happy I almost cried! Thank you Athena for going above and beyond to fix my issue. Because of you, my package will be returned timely! As others have stated, this place is a crapshoot. Sometimes they charge for tape on returns, other times they don't. Some times no box is needed just the QR code and other times they want it fully packaged. No problem, just be consistent so it's not a waste of time. Pathetic business owner! **To the Owner of the UPS Store** Passport Photo Beware!!! I had 3 passport photos taken from your store and the passport post office rejected 2 of your passport photos. They said the photos were whitewashed and I ended up taking the photos at the passport office. I tried returning the photos and your staff said I couldn't unless I had a written letter from the passport office saying they didn't accept the photos. Well, that's dumb!! You know darn well, it's impossible to get a letter from them and knowing it takes all day to stand in the passport office line. Couldn't the passports I eventually received with the photos be enough proof? I paid $30 for two useless photos and your staff had the nerve to tell me the passport office rejects the photos so they can make money. If that's the case than UPS needs to take it up with the federal government about that and not have consumers be stuck with photos they can't use. Absolutely terrible service, staff appeared to be annoyed that I was making multiple returns through Amazon. The greeting I received was " what do you need?" I replied with a hello first off and I have a few Amazon returns. I had my items scanned and was given one label for two separate packages. I'm not all that familiar with the return process and asked if I am supposed to receive a receipt for each item and was told in a rude and short manner that if I look at the return receipt label, I will see there a multiple items listed. I was making an Amazon return. The instructions say you drop off your packages and they will repackaged the products your returning. Although Amazon says it's a no cost return, this store charged me $1.00 to put one piece of tape on the box?!? Really?!? Had I known UPS was going to charge me to tape up the box, I would have done so myself. The fact that UPS is charging customers for free returns is unacceptable! Needless to say free is free, and not $1.00 for tape! Will not be using this store for returns in the future and have filed a complaint with Amazon already! read more

The pricing here at this UPS location is very off. And no, they weren't clear about the total price. From what I understood from the conversation, the total would be $9, not $16. Suggestions to avoid extra cost were not suggested, so it's sort of shady. Pricing does not make sense, it costs more to open the documents alone than to actually print them. Not here to scrutinize everyone, but just wanted to share my experience. I was asked which documents are B/W and color. I responded that I indicated that and that only in the email. If I request double-sided seeing that they are being printed double-sided, I wouldn't expect a "Well you didn't state that your email" with a displeased tone. It's not one's fault. And I would hope the $16 would cover those discarded papers. I'll give an extra star to update my previous review, given that they at least investigate the matter and provide some form of feedback.
