I went to return an item and there were several people in line. All of the employees were very friendly and polite, but a gentleman named Bakari really stood out. I used to avoid this place even though it's close to my house because they had the worst, slowest service but I think it has new management and definitely new, reliable employees. If you go in, wait for Bakari or even ask for him if you need something specific. He is fast but very good. He is also a notary and very intentional at his job. I stop by here when Iam near my auction site in EG for a pickup. The employees have been helpful and friendly. It is in a strip mall with a bunch of other businesses. They take USPS and UPS dropoffs. No Fedex. Other services include Mailboxes and copies as far as I know. I recommend stopping here with your mailing needs. read more

Yesterday I was shipping a large package thru a different carrier not UPS - the sales associate was kind enough to not only give me directions where to drop off package but also assisted carrying the large package back to my car. As a licensed firearms dealer I ship accessories and supplies daily. I DO NOT ship ammunition or other hazardous material through UPS. Every time I drop off items they either refuse use to accept or call me after they accept my packages to come Pick them up because they see my return address and assume I'm shipping ammo or firearms. All my visits have been post new ownership change. I was so frustrating with the the previous owners and staff that I went to an alternate store down the street. It's nice to be back to this store again. I'm not entirely sure when the change was made but for the last two years plus it's been a top notch store. I can't actually tell who the owner is but I've had all positive interactions. This has been my covid go to for all the dozens of Amazon returns. Their covid protocols have been solid and it's been a pleasant experience. Not all the patrons of east Elk Grove have been into science and it's certainly been frustrating to say the least. Some stores got to the point where they just didn't enforce the mandated mask requirements. I've yet to see any anti mask "patriots" at this location. A little bit of a surprise, but a welcome one for sure. All my interactions have gone smoothly and the staff goes above and beyond to be both friendly and efficient in getting things processed. It's nice that they allow USPS drop offs as well. If I recall correctly the previous owners didn't. Even during the holiday season this place was smooth sailing. Quite the ridiculous experience. UPS return instructions clearly said to take item to UPS store with QR code, no box or label needed. The girl tells me that is not the case and I have to box it and pay to use their tape! I then ask for the label so I can go home and box it then take it to another UPS store and she said she can't do that. This is the most ridiculous, inefficient store policy I have ever heard of! It took me several minutes to find the store because their overhead light was out. I told the manager & she immediately resolved the problem. The store wasn't busy when I arrived. I had a few transactions to do including taking a photo & mailing a document. While I was completing paperwork, several other customers arrived, were all greeted immediately, and served quickly. I was impressed. My total cost for the services was far below what the other UPS store down the street wanted to charge. I came here to print some documents from the computer and I have never been so humiliated and treated so terribly as a customer in my life. It was a little after 5pm when I arrived, and the store was very busy. No one was sitting at the computer so I approached it. The screen was black so I moved the mouse as I was standing, and store employee Vicki left in the middle of helping a customer to approach me in a swift and aggressive manner and said, "Step away from the computer! Our email is up! Why are you trying to read it!" I was shocked and simply told her, "I wasn't. I just touched the mouse because the screen was black and it happened to be left up before me." She then closed out of it, and told me now I can log on. So I sat down and printed my documents. Once it printed I proceeded to go to the printer to retrieve my documents. There were papers that must have been printed right after mine so I set them back on the printer face down after I retrieved mine. Again, Vicki left in the middle of helping a customer to approach me in a swift and aggressive manner and snatched the papers and said "There you go again touching stuff that isn't yours! You don't just do whatever you want!" At that point I was shocked at this employee's behavior toward me so in silence I walked to the line and waited my turn to check out. The store manager was the next employee available to help me. When she called me up I asked her, "Am I able to touch this Manila folder right here if I am going to purchase it?" I wasn't trying to come off as sarcastic, but I honestly was afraid of being attacked by that employee again. I asked the employee helping me who the manager was and she identified herself. Because this whole time she never said a word to her employee or myself regarding what had transpired, I asked her who was above her that I could contact for a complaint. Vicki raised her voice at me and said, "I'm right here and I'm Vicki! You are so rude and inappropriate!" All of this happened in front of my daughter and a store full of customers. I was humiliated and just flat out shocked. I noticed some customers smiling at me and shaking their heads because of how Vicki was behaving. I have never encountered such an angry, irrational, unprofessional, mean, and disrespectful employee or experienced such unwarranted treatment. I don't know if she was maybe having a bad day and taking it out on me, but no customer should be the target and ever be treated that way. I'm still shocked. I usually go to the other local UPS store on Elk Grove Blvd near highway 99, and that's where I will keep my business from now on. I would encourage you to visit that store where the employees treat everyone with respect, kindness, and professionalism. read more

I walked into the store for the second time this week. This time was because my printer from home was not printing and I needed a label for my Amazon return (Specific instructions from a seller) I walked in and the first face I saw was a lady named Vicky. She points to me to the far register to get helped by a boy named Richard. I explained to him that I only needed to do some printing. The lady Vicky gives me a laminated paper with the store email on it to send the label to. The boy Richard printed my label and when it was time for him to hand it over to me the lady Vicky, rips it off his hand to tell him... You cannot give to her because she doesn't have the Package with her. She kept going back and forth with the boy named Richard and myself. I'm trying to explain to her that I just came in to get it printed. A third employee named Michelle stepped in and now it's three of us arguing with this Vicky lady who thinks she knows it all since she's been working there for nine months. First of all her costumer service skills are horrible. Yes HORRIBLE! But despite the fact that this specific employee is Horrible. The other two Richard and Michelle did the right thing by calling someone named Patricia to verify that it was okay for them to hand over the printed label that I originally walked in for. Needless to say, the owner needs to have a serious conversation with this employee about her unprofessional behavior and put her at the far register because her attitude sucks. It doesn't look good for any business to have an impolite employee on the front register. I do want to let the owner know that Richard and Michelle went above and beyond to try to solve my issue. read more

Slow, no process and makes everything complicated. An easy Amazon drop off takes 30mins, when all they have to do is scan the QR code. I was in line and when I was about to go in front they have me go back for someone who they said got in first but still doing things when I got in. read more

This is my favorite UPS store to go to locally... and I am central to at least 3 UPS stores I know of. It is always clean, even though there is heavy foot traffic. If the line is long, I just walk to get me some Jamba Juice or Panda Express and come back. Patricia is super polite and informative; she remembers me from previous visits. I one time happened to be in line waiting after a UPS corporate person needed to do some district paper stuff that needs to occur frequently. And that's when I learned they have a lot more to deal with than just the immediate customer. The box price is reasonable and fair (I did shop around). They have an alert notice sent to my phone when mail or a package arrives. My wait time, if I need to send a package, is reasonable. Twice, I've seen Patricia trained two employees, so I know they are working on addressing some of the wait time complaints in other people's reviews by bringing new people in. (But to be honest, I haven't really experienced severely long unreasonable wait times.) I like that they are taking the time to train their new staff (a bonus in my opinion to see that training is taking place). read more

Told me to send the documents to an email which I did right away but they started helping other customers that came in after me, which prolonged the process and made it take forever to receive my papers. I will be driving an additional 10 minutes to go to a different UPS store. The most unprofessional and rude customer service I have ever received. I did not get a chance to see what the lady's name was, but I wouldn't go to this location on a Saturday. She refused to take my Amazon return saying I had the incorrect QR code when she didn't even look at my phone! I indeed did have the correct QR code and she was even hassling me for my UPS Access Point package even though I had the correct ID and tracking number. She finally took my package when she actually looked at my phone and saw the QR code. She treated me as though I was trying to steal something that was mine. If staff is unable to handle things under pressure, it's probably a good idea to hire additional people. I'll being going to the UPS location on Elk Grove Blvd where the guys there are extremely friendly and treat customers with respect. Wouldn't come here unless you want to be disrespected and leave pissed. read more

Wow what an experience, I have never receive Ed such rude and unprofessional customer service from a UPS store, I will never return to this location, I rather drive an extra 9 minutes to the next UPS store. I just visited this store (1/30/20 at 5:33pm) there was a UPS driver inside grabbing some packages and I walked in and this lady (looked to be in her mid 60s and angry squinted at me thru her glasses) I said I wad here to drop off a amazon return it was already sealed and packaged in a box, I just needed one piece of tape to make sure the label stays down. I asked the lady at the counter for a piece of tape, she snarledif you need tape you can buy some tape off the wall" and then turned around and completely ignoredd me, I was stunned at her rude response, if she had said the same thing nicely with half the amount of attitude and in civil demeanor I would have not been upset, I looked at the UPS driver who was standing there in full uniform and he looked stunned and made an apologetic facial expression and he looked at the woman who clearly did not give a flying peanut how she came off, I grabbed my package and said I will go to another UPS store. I don't need all that attitude, and rudeness, if she hates her job she needs to find a new one, and I will also be emailing UPS corporation to inform them of this type of customer service and notify amazon so they know how this particular location is treating amazon customers who are returning PREPAID packages. Avoid this location at all costs. If you look at previous reviews other people have complained about this same woman yet the owner had done nothing about it. So unprofessional! ---Really? Showed me all the prices of their competitors so I could make a good choice on if I should ship with them or go to a different location. They were very helpful. Came in to get finger prints done. After waiting an hour the lady who was helping me wasn't even half way done with the paperwork. She had been too preoccupied and distracted with taking care of her 3 year old grandchild to do her job efficiently and kept messing up. When I told her I had to leave because I was going to be late to work she insisted she was almost done. After waiting another 10 minutes I finally demanded that I get my papers back and said I would just come back another day. She tried to charge me $80 on the spot saying she could save it and finish it when I came back. What kind of business charges a customer for a service they didn't complete? Lol. read more

This place has changed ownership and has went downhill fast . I have had a box here for 10 years with the old ownership never had a problem. Today the newer owner tried Bullying me and my wife by Calling the cops who were quick to advise us that she's being calling the police out everyday for the past week. Who knew I'd write about a UPS Store, but I would not recommend this store to anyone for anything. I stopped in to send a package that was already labeled and set to go - all I needed was some tape to ensure the box was securely closed. He wanted to charge me $1.00 for the tape. Now knowing this place, I would not be surprised if the owner charged me for his business card. Sometimes business owners forget what a nice gesture and kind customer service will afford them. This guy will never ever get my business and I will discourage all of my friends and family from using this location. From the moment I walked in to the time I left, really pleasantly surprised how the young lady behind the counter was very knowledgeable about her position at this store location in Elk Grove. It was nice to finally find a place that really values customer service. This young lady, whose name I believe is Shysta, was really helpful so I could get a few quotes printed out from the computer. I was not sure how to print out the copies and because of my previous stroke, I am currently unable to use all the keys on the keyboard properly. She was able to resolve my problem in what seemed like a fraction of the time I would have figured it out by myself. It was great to finally find a store that does not leave you to flounder on your own. Hope this store appreciates this young lady and decides to keep her around.
