Dropped off my DirecTV equipment for return. Not very friendly, the first thing she asked was "Can I help you? Do you have a label for the box?" I walked in here with the intent to obtain a mailbox. I had no idea what it took to get one for a small business. I have to tell you I was really taken aback by the way that I Was talked to here. I would say that I was treated like a child that had done something wrong.. not sure but the tone of voice used just was not acceptable. The man who was talking or kind of shouting at me seemed to not be able to contain his emotions or stress while he was explaining the simple task of renting a mailbox. It happens that one needs two forms of ID. such as a license and perhaps a car insurance card. I had both but the card I had on me had just expired... I went home and printed a current one. But the fact is I went somewhere else the next day to get a mailbox. They were just the opposite as far as customer service and treatment. I rented my mailbox from the other business in Garland not this one. I cant find myself returning here for any reason. I feel that the employee here just needs to breathe and calm down before attempting to talk to anyone. My personal experience here was not pleasant -- it was rather upsetting . edited -- reply to business response-- I have not an issue with the requirements of the post office. I do have issue with the unpleasant interaction with the employee who waited on me, reading the others who have reviewed this business it seems to be a pattern -- one that could profoundly affect the growth of your business. When I went to the other business to rent a mailbox-- they were more professional when it came to discussing "requirements" . I think they were less expensive and closer to home as well. My recommendation to management-- Enhance your training programs offered to employees. read more

Blake is so rude and sarcastic! I will never ever use this location ever again because of this ignorant and bitter little man! He YELLS, talks down to people and seems to hate his job. Went to pick up a package and he starts to yell UPS HAS BEEN GIVING FALSE INFORMATION AND THEN WE END UP HAVING TO LOOK FOR THE PACKAGE YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR TRACKING # NOT JUST YOUR ID! LET ME TRY TO DUMB IT DOWN! All in one sentence before I could even say yes to "are you picking up a package?" REALLY BLAKE! Its not my job to make your job easier, look for my package that's what your there for! I had read bad reviews all about him but had never encountered the infamous Blake till now. I rented a PO Box here for a while, an experience that left a lot to be desired. For starters, the owners were more than willing to raise the PO box rent several times on pre-existing box customers, not just applying it to new customers, which is what my current mail center does. Secondly are the service issues. One day I walked in while they were preparing to return to sender a package addressed to me but the wrong box number. Apparently they are incapable of looking up my name on their computer to place it in the correct box. Another time, I noticed I wasn't receiving any mail. Turns out the teenager who took my rent payment failed to note it in the computer system, resulting in them withholding my mail. I had to drive home and get my credit card receipt to prove payment in order to get my mail. I missed insurance notices and client payments due to their gaffe. But the worst part was the behavior of Blake, who I believe is the owner's son. This unapologetic ferret on crack insinuated these problems were my fault and proved again and again that he has no business working in any customer service industry. He's consistently short with customers and has a decided lack of patience and tact. After the last rent increase I'd had enough and moved to another UPS store with more pleasant employees. read more

Service is fine, but one day I needed an 18x12x6 box and was in a hurry. He tried to tell me that he charges over SIX DOLLARS for this one box! I mean, are you KIDDING! This box can be purchased singularly at boxes 4 u for $1.02. Can you say financial RAPE? I can understand wanting to make a profit, but come on guys, get real! read more

I don't have to come here often but when I do it's a pleasure. The staff is professional and courteous. If your lucky the owner will be there who also trains service dogs and he'll usually have a one or two dogs hanging out behind the counter. My son loves to see them. read more

I mailed an antique from this store a week ago. David, the owner did a fantastic job of wrapping and packing it for me. I was so impressed that I was back again today with another antique and wanted it to be wrapped and packed just as good as the other. David did it again! The first package went from Garland to New York and arrived in perfect shape. The one I shipped today is headed for Michigan, and I feel it will arrive next week in perfect condition as well. read more

Excellent service from the man working the counter. I'm awful with names - Blain, I think. I took in an ATT equipment return without a box or anything. The ATT site indicated that was the way to do it but that would just be too easy I thought. The gentleman helped me even to look up the ATT account and zip code - wasn't sure of these since it was my son's cable equipment. I wish them much success. read more

Excellent customer service. I have had to use notary and fax services multiple times this year and have always had excellent service.

The absolute worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. They are under investigation by the Garland Police for a number of thefts by their employees. I am one of the victims of these thefts. Employees remove package contents before the parcel is picked up by USPS the next morning. Impossible to talk to the manager and get any attemp at resolution. He is like a 5 year old and will literally start yelling and stomping his feet if you ask a simple question. Probably mad that he is so inept and has no logical response. I am sure they wont be in business much longer. Please avoid this store. Go to the one in Sachse or the one off 544 and Murphy. The owner at #5257 is bad news. read more

Two packages of mine just disappeared. Never scanned into the postal system. Blake blames USPS. USPS driver says he scans everything as it goes into his truck! I agree with Diane L. that the service is inconsistent at this location. The times I have come here it usually is subpar. This latest visit was my last. I arrived with a box that I needed to tape up first. I waited in line and eventually the guy in the lime-green shirt asked if I was ready. I reply that I was not and I needed tape for the box. He then asks if I have a shipping label, to which I reply no. He response was short and in my opinion rude, 'well in that case you are not ready.' Where he got the idea I was ready I have no idea, after all I did ask for tape. There was no direction as to where to get the boxing tape, the other employee stood there like a 'bump on a log' watching this (you think she might direct me to the tape). Needless to say, the USPS was more helpful to me the day before. read more

I was mentally preparing my yelp review ahead of time to jump on the Blake hating band wagon with others. I went in and I found a very happy and helpful man behind the counter with the Blake name tag. Ah bummer. Great service. Got my package shipped in about 30 seconds. After a recent move, we had over 100 pounds of needed shredding and took it to The UPS Store on Garland Road. The manager rang it up two ways to see which would provide the best price for us. Initially, it was $89 and the second attempt reduced the cost to $54. It wasn't something we asked for, he just did it and it was most appreciated! read more

I will provide additional details later, but especially with Mother's Day fast approaching, I feel obligated to say if you value what you are shipping, RUN, DO NOT WALK, AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!! Blake (if that is indeed his name) is MANY cards short of 52. He is rude, loud, and HUGELY misinformed! He actually told me loudly and in great convincing tones, that ALL UPS shipments go through KENTUCKY! Liar Liar PANTS IN FLAMES!! Also beware-he won't allow any insurance over $100.00. This pairs well with how he manages to BADGER out of every customer EXACTLY what they are shipping. HENCE, I was not surprised to see (via other Yelpers) this location is under investigation with the Garland Police for THEFT! I plan to call UPS Customer Care TOMORROW to ensure no others are reduced to LYING to get their package back following feelings of sheer lack of trust in shipping a valuable package!! read more
