In my last two transactions there I have been hassled and over charged. The first I brought some pre-packed items for shipping and the young woman checking me out kept insisting that I buy their ridiculously overpriced bubble mailers or boxes "for extra security." She said I needed to package my packages. She refused to continue the transaction until I agreed. Then another employee came over and smoothed out the situation and just put a strip of packing tape over what the other employee was complaining about. For the second transaction I wanted to ship a small bubble mailer USPS at the lowest rate because it wasn't urgent. I was told it would be over 15$ I thought it was strange because I had just shipped the same size mailer a week before at around 8$. The employee says that usps had raised their rates. I go ahead with the transaction, but when I checked my receipt & tracking number my package had NOT been shipped usps. It had been shipped UPS, which was much more expensive. I run a small business that ships frequently. I will never use this store again for anything but free Amazon returns. read more

They charge $2.50 to print a prepaid UPS label. I had to leave and go to Office Depot and get one for $0.36. what a hassle. Fedex does not charge to print prepaid labels. The UPS store is a ripoff. It's like they are owned by the airlines or something. read more

Blake is the absolute worst excuse for a customer service employee. Omg!! I took a package today and he was ready to pounce on me saying I should be taking it to the post office. I asked nicely if this was an inconvenience and he said, "Look at all of these over here! They haven't gone out because they should be going through the post office!" Blake, you are the dictionary definition of a loser. My husband said he's experienced your behavior before and won't go to this location. He also told me your daddy owns this store, so that's how you get away with being a total jerk to customers. What's wrong with you??? How many bad reviews does it take for your daddy to realize you are hurting his business? Awful!!! The workers are very rude and condescending to people of other ethnicities. I needed to return something and had the label for them to print and the older Caucasian man told me I had to have it printed already or pay for print services. He said "all UPS required payment" I told him the one by my house doesn't. His response " I suggest you go to that one! Next!" There was only 5 people in the store, 3 of them were getting served already. Very rude experience! read more

For all of you that previously had the "Blake" experience, the store now has new ownership. I'm a customer with no affiliation to them. I begrudgingly walked in to drop a UPS ground shipment and to my surprise, a new ownership sign was in the window. The new team is so pleasant and happy to help. Such a relief to be able to use this store now that Blake is gone and stop driving out of my way to avoid them. Amanveer helped me and she was fantastic. She quickly told me Blake was gone and the store had new ownership. Finally! Best of luck to the new owners and I will a patron of your store. This is the worst UPS store I've ever been in. The employees are rude, rushing, and argumentative. I'm not talking about just a single employee, every time I've been in the last three months I've had the same experience. I see others treated terrible too. The previous reviews are on point. Went on their website, was able to make an appointment for a passport photo. We get to the office and let them know we're there for the appointment. Then the worker tells us they don't offer that service. If you don't offer that service, then why was I able to make an appt AND an email to confirm the dang appt! Ridiculous! read more

Absolutely awful customer service due to mainly one individual. A very high-strung angry man who berates customers, is impatient, loud, rude, hostile, and clearly doesn't like his job or people. Rumor has it this is the manager/owner, and if so it's a blot on UPS's reputation and his franchise agreement should be terminated. I have filed a complaint with UPS corporate based on my experience and have encouraged the business owner who has a mailbox there to take her business to another location. For 5 of the last 6 months I have been dropping off something for a box holder, and asked ahead of time if I could do so. Employees were cheerful and gave permission. The 6th month I encounter this man who has such hatred and unhappiness in his soul it's amazing. For people who use this location, think again. There are other UPS Stores who will treat you right and appreciate your business. read more

I have never been treated so poorly in a store before. The manager /owner Blake, is the most demeaning , rudest person I have ever dealt with. The ONLY reason I would even go into that store is to send an Amazon return. Even with that , he wont use a printed QR code , but wants the emailed code that Amazon sends to your phone. You pull it up, and he demands you make it bigger, turn your phone around, set your phone here and is so completely rude about it ! He yells at other customers walking in. The other employees look so embarrassed by his behavior. I did have to send a package today , and he argued with me for over five minutes that my address was wrong and his system could not find it. Rude employees. I dread going to this location. I will go another location even if it is our of my way. Been here several times, younger guy is so rude making me feel like he is doing me a favor to process my transactions. Short answers making me feel like I am dumb for asking questions or for even showing up at the counter. I usually go after work so it is busy here ( seems like it is my fault that they are busy). I called and asked to speak to the manager to tell him how rude his employee was and he was even worse. He gave me more attitude ( I was actually pretty nice on the phone giving him feed back). Nope they just don't care about the customer. Save your energy. I wont take my business where I am treated like I am bothering you to provide a service. read more

The manager is trying to be efficient but severely needs to learn customer service skills. He'll get your returns done quickly all while giving a lecture about putting things in the return boxes for Amazon- even though you don't have to have them. This is the closest most convenient store to me... that said the manager is the rudest most condescending employee I've come in contact with in the shipping/mail business. I will NEVER ship from this location again. I will drive twice as far to go to FedEx or the post office. Never did I ever think that I would come to a review page with as many people who have had the exact same experience as me. I was literally dreading coming here because this guy has been rude to me before, and he was back at it again! I come in at about 6pm, have my QR code for my return and he's instantly motioning me over and telling me to come on.. I go over to him and he's like you're just lucky they're still here because pick up is at 6. I.... Really don't care when pick up is, I'm just glad I left my job early from across town and made it before the whole place closed. .5 seconds after telling me I'm lucky to even be there, it's now DO YOU HAVE YOUR LABEL and I tell him I have the QR code that they give you so UPS can make a label. Response? "Well then you should have just said yes you have a label". I.. what? I did what most people do then and made the code bigger, put my phone down and slid it to him to scan code. Worst thing I could have done, apparently, and he required me holding it out at arms length to him awkwardly across the counter while berating me the whole time - SHOW IT TO ME, TURN IT AROUND, NO DONT DO THAT, HOLD IT CLOSER TO ME, TURN IT AND MOVE IT. Then he just shoved the receipt at me and I got the heck out of dodge. I don't need to go anywhere to be yelled at and this behavior is SO strange. Shipped a box recently and the mature (age) gentleman was in such a hurry, he was of zero help and worse on customer relations. Refused to add a label into the box because "the system will charge double". Idiotic. Of course this brainiac didn't think to print a second receipt, and I was tired of arguing about every tiny thing with the guy, he was such a know it all. I went in with an Amazon return and the store employee was extremely rude. I commented on how easy it was to be able to return Amazon and how much I appreciate it. It was my first time making an Amazon return through a UPS store. He then replied pretty irritated " well it's not easy for us." Dude, it's your job. After reading other reviews, I was comforted to know that other people have also received horrendous customer service from the store owner's son and that I was not singled out. When I went to ship off my packages, one of them was supposed to go through the postal office and I did not know; it was an honest mistake. Blake (that's what I assume his name is from the other reviews) proceeded to scold me and repeat what he was telling me 4 or 5 times in a frustrated tone of voice. His face also began to turn a bright pink/red and some veins popped out on his forehead and neck. I was horrified by my first time in the store. I have shared my experience with friends and family recommending to go to another UPS store as well as emailed the store, customer relations, the corporate customer relations manager of UPS, and the PR manager of UPS in hopes that some action will be taken regarding Blake's employment at UPS. Keep in mind that my experience here was so awful that I felt like going the extra mile to contact everyone that can do something as well as leave my first review ever on yelp. read more

Extremely inconsistent service here. Sometimes I get great service, other times not-so-much. Our most recent visit involved a dude in a lime-green polo named Blake. Blake was pretty rude across-the-language-barrier to the non-Caucasians in front of us, and then complained that I gave him my phone number 'too fast', even though he himself was talking about a mile a minute, and I rattled off my number about as fast as I would to anyone typing it into a machine. Drink coffee much? Maybe he should cut back in the mornings. On top of the package we were sending, we needed to close out a post office box we held there. Blake was a big fat zero of help here, insisting that we had to return a week later when the contract expires - incidentally a day when we'll be out of town. I ended up having to e-mail the store when they sent a renewal reminder in order to cancel the mail box. I'll probably be back here to send packages since there are really no other good options nearby, but I'm going to hope that Blake doesn't 'help' me out again. I just hope the box I sent gets there on time and without damage. read more

Awesome service. The nicest people always work there and they'll go the extra mile to make sure your packages are okay. I dropped off a package there and I had it taped up and they noticed a hole and even added the extra tape to the package to make sure everything was okay. Dropped off my DirecTV equipment for return. Not very friendly, the first thing she asked was "Can I help you? Do you have a label for the box?" It was just the box I used to carry the equipment for return. Although she was very efficient in scanning the equipment and giving me the paperwork. Hopefully, the friendliness improves. read more

I walked in here with the intent to obtain a mailbox. I had no idea what it took to get one for a small business. I have to tell you I was really taken aback by the way that I Was talked to here. I would say that I was treated like a child that had done something wrong.. not sure but the tone of voice used just was not acceptable. The man who was talking or kind of shouting at me seemed to not be able to contain his emotions or stress while he was explaining the simple task of renting a mailbox. It happens that one needs two forms of ID. such as a license and perhaps a car insurance card. I had both but the card I had on me had just expired... I went home and printed a current one. But the fact is I went somewhere else the next day to get a mailbox. They were just the opposite as far as customer service and treatment. I rented my mailbox from the other business in Garland not this one. I cant find myself returning here for any reason. I feel that the employee here just needs to breathe and calm down before attempting to talk to anyone. My personal experience here was not pleasant -- it was rather upsetting . edited -- reply to business response-- I have not an issue with the requirements of the post office. I do have issue with the unpleasant interaction with the employee who waited on me, reading the others who have reviewed this business it seems to be a pattern -- one that could profoundly affect the growth of your business. When I went to the other business to rent a mailbox-- they were more professional when it came to discussing "requirements" . I think they were less expensive and closer to home as well. My recommendation to management-- Enhance your training programs offered to employees. read more
