Lose the lame with the poor attitude, terrible customer service, and sarcastic remarks. Brand new to CA and went into the store today for a notary after a google search brought me there. I was greeted by a pleasant young lady who asked another individual to help me (because she is not a notary). The rude man, (Andrew) barely made eye contact, spoke in a very unfriendly tone and gave short answers to my questions on the service AS IVE NEVER HAD TO OBTAIN A NOTARY. I asked for a print to be made and the guy rang me up with a "service fee" for printing one black and white print WHICH WAS THEIR LABEL. I declined the print as I can print it in my building and had to go back for the package anyway, and I have every right to decline a fee that was not disclosed. The notary fee was not an issue while I probably could've used my bank, a library, or somewhere else for free but was rushing and in the area, it was the bogus fee for the print. After I refused the print he proceeded to make comments about other people being "just fine" with paying the fee and even asked "so you're going to be like that?". If I read the reviews and had not been rushing I would have never stepped foot in this store. I can guarantee I never will again. You sir, are disgusting. As a business OWNER, UPS you should reconsider that one. read more

This UPS store is disorganized and unprofessional. I came to pick-up a package, which had been delivered a few days earlier. The first employee assisting me did not ask for ID verification and tried to search for the package by last name. However, the employee was having difficulty finding my package; the storage area was very disorganized. After 10 minutes of searching, a second employee started to search for my package. The second employee began cursing. Although the second employee eventually found my package, the staff was very unprofessional. In the future, I will avoid routing packages to this location. read more

There was a tall, white guy working on 1/17/21 at 12:30 pm that has to be the worst customer service I've ever experienced. He started out by bad mouthing Jeff Bezos and it just went downhill from there. He didn't want to print out a receipt for my return and argued with me, actually made very rude and disparaging comments. I absolutely had to insist and was made to feel bad that I did that. There are other reviews to this effect so I'm sure it was the same guy. He also wouldn't provide a box for a return even though my Amazon instructions stated that I didn't need one, just the barcode that I provided. He even yelled something at me as I was walking out the store in front of a line of five or six people. This was totally uncalled for. With his anger issues he should probably be writing fake news, not somebody who is allowed to be working with the public. I'll wait for the other customer service representative next time. I've never had a problem at the Glendale UPS store before. It's this particular outspoken worker that is the issue. read more

I ship quite a few packages on a regular basis for my business & drop off packages at this location 2-3 times a week. In the last 30 days 2 of my packages, one shipped overnight, have been delayed due to oversight by the store. Both packages were time sensitive. Yes, they will refund my shipping costs, but they offer no compensation for the consequences caused by their delays & oversight. Needless to say, I will not be dropping off my packages at this store anymore. read more

Awful service and rude RUDE employees. If you want the bro teenagers who work here to dump the contents their emotional purse on your doormat while yelling in your face that they are "quitting this place" then this is the UPS branch for you! I was mailing a package for a friend and they couldn't find the shipping address. I gave my phone (with my friend on the other end) over to one of the employees and after getting a little dissatisfaction from them the employee hung up and threw my own phone back at me! I asked for his name and he told me he "wasn't giving me shit" and that he was having a "f*ing rough week", The end of the conversation was when he told me to tell my friend to "f*k off" and that he was quitting this place, leaving me no choice but to leave with my package. A. It's not my fault your branch can't look up a shipping address B. It is NEVER okay for an employee to take their frustrations out on a customer, especially one that didn't provoke them in the slightest. I should have read the reviews first! I live half way between Glendale and Hollywood and thought that Glendale would be easier on the weekend. First of all, it is December. There should have been more than 1 person working. That being said, Diana, the girl helping me was about as unfriendly as you can get. I had a big order and there was a line building up behind me, but really a smile would have put everyone at ease. Every question I asked was met with attitude! I generally love the ups store for their service, graciousness, and quality of work. And I use the ups store a lot, for both printing and shipping. I made the mistake of stopping by this particular location the other day - their customer service was shockingly bad. I had a two boxes that needed to be sent back to Amazon.com. They were ready to go with pre-paid mailing labels. I needed to deal them at the shop with packing tape and re-secure the bottom of one of the boxes with a little bit of tape as the bottom had popped open. This staff member, Jonathan, insisted on charging me for the tape!!! For three freaking pieces of tape!!! And throughout the interaction was condescending as if it was my first time ever mailing a package. I was really surprised as I've never had such poor treatment at a ups store. And I've had days where I've had to mail 15-20 packages in one go! Never going back to this location. Train your employees better!!! Back to the trusty locations in studio city and Toluca lake. Now those employees represent true UPS standards. And pls retrain or let go of your employee Jonathan at this location, he really needs to get rid of his "holier then thou" attitude. read more

My company just recently moved locations and are not too far from this UPS location. We were having issues with the UPS driver picking up shipments on our floor and due to the fact that I'm responsible for paying people I needed to get checks out. I had come to this location a few times before and never had any issues until this past Thursday. The initial guy who scanned my labels was super nice but let me know that I missed the driver and cut off time. I started asking more questions because I became worried and another guy walked up (short sweaty looking with glasses I think) and was very rude for no reason. He wasn't being helpful at all and with every question I had along with suggestions from the other guy this rude guy had a very stern negative response. I ended up just grabbing my packages and left. The next day during my lunch I returned to drop off for Saturday delivery and what do you know, the same rude guy was there and this time I caught his name tag ALEX. As soon as I walked in I was nicely greeted by someone who scanned me in however Alex was being rude to the guy all because he left a package in the wrong area. I felt so terrible for the nicer guy because as he was scanning me in his hands were shaking. I would like to thank the taller white male with brown hair, tall Asian male and the skinner white male with dark hair for being accommodating (sorry for the descriptions as I couldn't catch everyone's name tags) but would suggest that this location either get rid of this short Alex guy or let him take a leave because he's clearly a miserable person and has to be very unpleasant to work with. I hope I never have to have any interaction with him again. I'm only giving three stars to the nice males who helped me and the other two missing stars Alex can shove up his you know what. read more

I have been using this store for couple of years now and I had bad experiences most of the time. Most of the employees lack the knowledge and customer service skills to meet customer expectations. Each location is independently owned and operated so they are not part of UPS Company. I would not recommend dealing with this locations as there is many other nearby UPS stores to go to. read more

I was out of town and left behind documents I needed urgently. I had someone ship them through the Glendale UPS store and paid premium for next day delivery. I expected timely delivery since UPS is in the shipping business. When the package didn't appear on the tracking app I called the Glendale store. Alma, the store associate, said she could not find record of the package and to call Lori, supervisor, at another location to ask what my options were for locating the package. I called Lori, read her the tracking number which I had a photo of, and she could not locate the package. Lori then instructed me to ask the sender to go to the store with the shipping receipts. The sender left work early and showed up with the receipts. With receipts in hand it took seconds for Alma to find store records of the package. The package was located and I was told the package would be delivered on time. The following day it shows no movement on the package. I got on phone with Lori & corporate office both guaranteed following day arrival. Lori promised to call me back to check that the package was delivered. For two days the tracking app showed that the package had not moved. I incurred extra expenses, was greatly inconvenienced & demanded payment for content & UPS refund for service failure. To this day Lori has not called back. This incident happened late November 2015. After two days of not hearing back from anyone I submitted an email claim to corporate. I also called the Glendale store and made my demands. Lori was not available so Alma instructed me to contact the "hub/corporate" center. I called the corporate customer center supervisor. No one was able to tell me what happened to my package except that it was in the system but did not show status. All I got was the run around- the Glendale store passed me on to corporate and vice versa. Then I emailed corporate again and stated I would report them to the BBB & sue them if I didn't receive a reply. I received a reply to my email claim the following day (two days after sending original email). First they said they were not responsible for anything since the Glendale store is a franchise store. I stated that UPS is a brand so franchise or not UPS was responsible. I received my package 4 days late not next day and was told UPS could only refund the cost of shipping but would not compensate for any hardships or inconveniences due to untimely delivery of package. I will never use a UPS franchise store or central shipping center to send a package. I would have been better off using the post office overnight service or FedEx. read more

Usually I go to the UPS in Pasadena on Fair Oaks to return Amazon packages, but because I was in Glendale I thought I'd go to this one. What a mistake! My package was a box of shoes in its original shipping bag, one that had self-tape. The young guy who took my package said he'd have to charge for taping it. I was shocked because the Pasadena shop always offers to tape anything. When he noticed that the bag had its own tape, he said he wouldn't charge (for what? taking the protective film off the self-tape and folding it over?) I continue to wonder what the charge would have been for 5 inches of tape. He added that I should remember that they charge for tape if I came in again, and I said I wouldn't be back. The other young male employee who was supposedly helping another female customer, though I saw him doing nothing for her, chimed in, "That's okay with us!" Nice. As I left the store I said that they know nothing about customer service but they already know that they know nothing from all the yelp reviews. Maybe they can't read. I suspect the store's owner is similarly uninformed about the importance of good customer service since from reading other customers' reviews he knows his employees are rude and incompetent (it's hard to know which is worse) and yet they still have a job. I suspect they're the deadbeat sons of the skinflint owner. On the bright side, the UPS store in Pasadena on Fair Oaks is a gem. Spare yourself the jerky boy rudeness and drive a few miles more. read more
