I used this store recently for a number of Amazon returns. In anticipation of a wedding, I ordered a number of dresses from two particular brands, in various colors and sizes. The return experience on Amazon was confusing and frustrating because each link only contained the brand and style of dress, not the color or size. And several returns required that I package them and print labels while others worked with a scanned code. I did my best to organize everything but made a couple mistakes. I stepped out of line 3 times to sort things out without holding up the line. The clerk was exceedingly helpful and patient, making the entire process easier and less frustrating. She even printed one label and finished packaging one dress for me. I highly recommend this store. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! MARCELO is the WORST! I've been a loyal customer of the UPS Store on 13th St. in Imperial Beach for several years, and until today, I've had nothing but excellent customer service and amazing help from the staff. Unfortunately, that changed during my most recent visit. Marcelo was working the counter, and to put it simply, he was an absolute jerk. I asked him to tape a box shut for me, and he told me he could but that it would cost me a dollar. I wasn't thrilled about being charged for something so small, but I agreed and told him to go ahead. Then, as we were taping up the box, I asked him to tape it a specific way, and he refused. He told me that if I wanted it taped my way, I'd have to buy an entire roll of tape. I was honestly shocked. I was already paying for him to close the box, so I couldn't understand why he couldn't simply apply the tape the way I asked. His response? "You can tape it the way you want it taped if you buy a roll of tape" and pointed to the rack of overpriced tape they have on sale there at the store. Completely unhelpful and unnecessary attitude. To make matters worse, when it was all said and done, he charged me $3 for the tape, even though he had clearly said $1 earlier. When I questioned it, he insisted he said $3, which he definitely did not. The whole interaction was unpleasant, frustrating, and completely out of line with the level of service I've always experienced at this location. After years of using this store for both personal and business shipping, I will no longer be giving them my business. I am also going to tell fellow business owners who I know use this location about this encounter. Marcelo has zero customer service skills and should not be working in a customer facing position. I highly recommend visiting another UPS Store where you'll be treated with respect and basic professionalism. I forgot to mention that on my way out Marcelo pointed to a holder with business cards on the counter and in a sarcastic way said "you can take one of these if you want to complain, I'll make sure I forward the email to my boss" like the rude unprofessional employee he is. read more

This was my first time coming to this UPS location, and I had such a great experience! The customer service was excellent from the moment I walked in. Christina and Jordan was especially helpful -- she was friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable. She made sure I understood all my options and offered everything I needed without making me feel rushed. It's not often you find someone who genuinely cares about helping customers, but Jordan definitely went above and beyond. She answered all my questions, made the process smooth, and had such a positive attitude the whole time. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for efficient service and helpful staff. Been going to this UPS location off and on throughout the years. Just had it very bad experience with customer service. Two young ladies were working, the younger shorter one was very rude, expressed very poor customer service or appreciation, and even uttered something in Spanish to her friend that was derogatory. Or communications were extremely poor and she gave the impression that I was bothering her. Moving forward I will probably not go to this location anymore. Tried to find the owner's contact to let them know from one business owner to another about my experience but that seemed to be an impossible black hole. I love the service. Best UPS location I've been to in a while. This is my go-to Amazon return spot and Yazmin is the one who usually helps me. I also had to ship a binder and I didn't have a box, a gentleman named Marcelo helped me out with the packaging; he made sure my package was well packaged and wrapped. The younger lady at the front counter was very rude on 12/19 around noon. She told me I was wasting her time because I didn't have the QR code ready for my Amazon return as soon as I walked up to the counter. She said she has other things to do. She needs to be schooled on her customer service skills, or lack thereof. I'm pretty sure the owner is paying her to take care of the customers. Without customers, she wouldn't have that job. I like this place cuz it is easy to get to and has ample parking. It also has pretty good hours, but they don't stick to the posted hours. They don't accept shipments within 15 minutes of closing. In fact, they lock the front door 15 minutes prior to closing, so they really close at 6:45, not 7:00. We went by the other night and the door was locked at 6:25pm. You can see the staff in there closing up. No customers. Keep in mind, posted business hours are the hours that a business is open for business, not the time the employees go home. Here's an idea that would reduce confusion: just change your closing time to 6:30 and accept customers up to closing time. Then employees go home at 7:00. Service is fine when the door's not locked. read more

I was returning some Amazon items items for my aunt so I didn't have the barcodes available right away and I apologized in advance because I wasn't prepared. The cashier MARCELO wasn't very friendly to begin with and when I was struggling to email the shipping label for one of the items he started being really condescending and told me to "read the whole thing " in a really Really rude tone when I clicked on the wrong promp. He was acting like I was taking up his time and like I was being a nuisance even though there wasn't even a line behind me. He was acting like helping me was a such a bother even though that's his literal job. It's my first time at this location and I won't be coming back. Was super excited there was a UPS store close to my house, went in and the young man in there had the worst attitude I have ever encountered! I was doing an amazon return and he had an attitude because i didnt have codes immediately available( just needed to open my photos on phone) and then i made a comment about how great it was to have a store close to home and he just handed me the receipt and said bye.... I usually come here in the afternoons. David is wonderful every time I come in. There is also another young lady that is there in the afternoons. They both have the best customer service. Please try avoid coming in the morning as Marcello has the worst attitude from the moment you walk in the door. He needs to give your grief about what your asking before he says that he will do it. He will turn his back text for a bit, huff. Its the most ridiculous experience for someone who is the store front face of this UPS store. Morning employee young male has the worst attitude, ripped the packaging I paid for said nothing until I asked him to fix it. Also didn't even seal the return completely until I asked to fix that as well. 2nd day in a row I dealt with him.
