Manager yelled at me over a box. I was calm the whole time asking questions about the rules regarding box. He apparently absolutely hated that because he wanted to me to buy his overpriced boxes.He proceeded to shout at me " my rules!" when I asked him what rule says I cant use the box I had. Dude is propably so desperate to turn a profit. He shouted at me and told me to go home and get the box. What makes him think I want to do business with his store after the way he shouted at me and acted so unprofessional over a box.I genuinely feel sorry for the employees that have to work with him. He has zero emotional regulation and professionality. Judging based on the other reviews, it is very consistent with what other customer and even a former manager complained about. This UPS store is conveniently located in a small mall with its own parking. There's always parking available, which is great since I am mostly dropping-off with quick in & out. Lines are minimal to non-existent during most visits. I just hand them the package, they scan and ask if I want a receipt, yes please, and out the door I go. Easy. The service is always swift. To save yourself some tape and to better protect the address or label from elements, you can ask for the clear sticky sleeves to put on your package (see my photo). Do not come here, strongly do not recommend. Go to Woodinville UPS instead much more reasonable and friendly. Each page print is approx $3 which is daylight robbery. I was also extremely disturbed to hear that UPS has no standard for training or pricing. The owner here sucks and is not customer-friendly at all, does not take constructive criticism or feedback as a business owner. Waiting for this location to shut down or go out of business so we can finally have better local services and respectable customer service, things I expect at UPS. read more

This is the friendliest UPS store that i ever dealt with. Polite staff and management. Very professional. Sometimes i drive longer distance just to interact with the people running this location. Parking is hard to find sometimes but i can deal with it. A lot of random people park nearby and walk toward the waterfront. read more

I visited this UPS Store today for a passport photo and received fantastic service. Firstly, the gentleman who took the picture snapped 3 options and let me choose which one I liked best. (Important, when you have to live with the photo for 10 years!) The store was very busy, and it was a little wait (less than 10 min) to get the photo, but it was not a problem for me to wait. Meanwhile, other customers were extremely rude to the staff. It was warm in the store, and the staff was clearly busting their butts to help people. One employee even checked to make sure that I had been helped before leaving for her break. WOW, that does not happen every day. Thank you to the staff for being so attentive. read more

I did a dumb thing (I admit it) and returned 2 boxes of lightbulbs I'd ordered from Amazon without opening the boxes completely to realize that another package of clothing was put in with the lightbulbs. I realized it when I went back to see where that item was and why I hadn't gotten it yet. I called the UPS store on Main st in Kirkland, where I'd taken the boxes and then went down there to try and see if we could find the boxes. Max went over the top to help me!! There were more than 100 boxes waiting to be returned and Max found my box and I was able to recover the package of clothing. Max was so patient and helpful. I came to the UPS Store in Kirkland looking for help. I'm not a shipper - I don't ship things. I have no idea how this process works, but I tried to get through as much of the process as I could before coming in, to make it easier on whatever employee was working. What I got was an employee in a foul mood, taking it out on me. Most of my questions were refused, and when I tried to ask for options I was cut off or just stared at. The other employees were just leaning on the counter in the back, watching the one I was working with slap the keyboard and sneer at me. I was sending a Nintendo Switch to a friend who has had a really rough 2020 - I wanted to try to soften the blow of the Cursed Year 2020 with a kind gesture. I had pre-packed my shipment to try to save time, but I wasn't confident in my packing technique and knew my box might need to be re-opened and re-packed. I figured the UPS Store would be able to help with that, but I was cut off mid-sentence and my questions were refused. When I asked about shipping options, I was straight-up stared at. I had to just guess which one I wanted and ask for the specific price in order to get an answer - The impatience and childish spite I was treated with were enough to make me worry that my package would be at risk if I posted this right away, so I made sure it was out of this location's hands before coming here. I do my best to be kind and patient and helpful - I have 13 years' retail management experience, and so I never want to be the pain-in-the-arse customer for someone else - but I absolutely did not deserve to be treated so rudely or gruffly. If there's another UPS location near you, I recommend giving this one a wide berth. read more

Overall, I've had great experiences so far at this UPS location. I've found that visiting some shipping businesses can be a bit of a headache -- I don't always receive the best service. But every time I've been here (2-3 times so far), every employee has been kind, efficient, and helpful. I've even called on the phone to inquire about certain things and have had a great experience via phone as well. If there is a 0 or negative star that would be my choice. I sent a package as priority and paid over $200, the employee named Emma told me it would be at destination within 5days. Now it has had been 21days, no one could tell when it could be delivered even. It's even worse that this package was handled by USPS which is most unreliable carrier, and they could not do anything about it. No touch, no improvement, no one to complain. If you don't want to have same painful experience , go some where else , use other optional services ! read more

This is an absolute garbage organization. My parents came to visit and bought some keepsakes from the market in Seattle. My parents shipped the package to their home from here and paid for insurance to cover the contents. The package was apparently destroyed in one of their facilities in Ohio and no explanation was provided. Further, UPS refused to honor their insurance because the packaging was not acceptable. No mention of the packaging was made when we paid for shipping nor when we bought insurance. They simply took the shipment and the money and said, "Thanks." Buyer beware. read more

Top notch staff gets your packaging and shipping needs handled quickly and efficiently. Have not had a single misfire with something being late, broken, or going to the wrong address. Recently needed a 50 page document scanned into a PDF. FedEx Kinkos in Kirkland quoted me .89 per page or $44.50. The UPS Store quoted me $6.00. Exact same thing. And the UPS Store said they could do it while I wait, FedEx Kinkos said they needed a couple of hours. Guess where I went! It's also nice because if you have Amazon returns they take them there at no charge (assuming you have the proper label). read more

Really disappointed with what I paid for. Dropped off a package at 9am on a Tuesday and paid for 3 day shipping. It is now day 5 and it still has not arrived. Checking the tracking was worthless as their is very few update. The update I do have shows they did not process my shipment until 9:30pm the day I brought it in. Meaning it didn't get shipped until later the next day. Horrible shipping service. This should have been processed and went out on their earliest shipments of the day. Typically most places have several pickup throughout the day. It's not a weekend and it will add extra days to my 3 day shipping. Looks like 6 to 7 day shipping. read more

My brother (who lives in Kirkland) took a couple of items to these folks, to have them "professionally packed and shipped" to me, in East Lansing, MI. One of these was a heavy wooden chair; an heirloom given to me by my folks. The UPS store charged my brother close to $500 to "professionally pack and ship" this item. When it arrived, I was stunned to find that all they had done was drop the chair inside a cardboard box; with no protective packaging at all. Just the chair, bare, inside the box. What's more, the heavy-duty packing blanket - which we had provided to them, to wrap the chair in - was folded up at the BOTTOM of the box, instead of wrapped around the chair! But this is only the preface. ALSO inside the box was a large duffle, from ANOTHER customer, which they had accidentally (??) placed and shipped inside MY box. They sent me an email, asking me to "please have the duffle shipped back to them." No, I'm not making this up. But when I printed off the shipping label (which they emailed to me) to do so, and took it to MY UPS pack-and-ship, I was informed that I (emphasis on "I") would have to pay the cost of re-packing the item to have it shipped! So yeah, I did so, because I wanted the poor person whose duffle this was to get their item back intact, but this whole experience has really left a decidedly sour taste in my mouth regarding having specialty items packed and shipped by purported "professionals." Side note: I've used MY UPS pack-and-ship store here in Lansing (Frandor) for YEARS, and they've ALWAYS done a FANTASTIC job. PS In the aftermath, the manager contacted me, and offered to pay for the packing cost. Additionally, it bears noting that a second item that was shipped in a separate box JUST arrived, and it was packed exceptionally well. So, no explanation on what went wrong with the first item; but this experience was perplexing, at best. PPS Postscript: They QUICKLY sent me a reimbursement check for my costs of shipping, so I'm writing this one off to overworked and understaffed. :-) read more

Only been here once, but I probably won't go to a UPS store again unless I can't find a better deal somewhere else. Pros: They had a good sized box for what I was shipping. They were open when the post office was not (Saturday afternoon) Cons: I thought $13 was high for shipping something the size of two fists and nearly weightless to CA from WA. I didn't get to label the box myself - they use some kind of typed up sticker system. I ship handmade goods, so I like my box to look nicer than a giant barcode sticker. I didn't get to tape the box myself - I hope they taped it as meticulously as I would have! Live and learn, I guess. read more

Update 6/1/17 - I just couldn't take it anymore and had to cancel and change my mailbox address (which is huge hassle) but I'm really happy with my new location and improved service. -------- Update 12/14/16- locked into a long term agreement, I'm still using these guys as my UPS box. I like having a mailbox service to sign for my packages so they don't get stolen from my front door. But instead, these folks just lost two separate packages and are not responding to requests to even investigate what happened. Yesterday, when I came in to pick up my package, they even gave me someone else's package because they didn't match the suite# with mine or my name. Sloppy. So while nobody is stealing my packages (that I know of), this UPS store just "loses them" instead. If you need someone to count on for your business needs, look for another UPS store that is run properly. ------------------ Can't count on these guys when it matters. Too many times I'll show up near the closing time to pick up a super important package and they'll shut their doors early. It finally happened again today (3/16) - I was there 11 minutes before closing time after spending an hour in bad traffic and the store was closed and I could not get a very important package I needed to take on my business trip. I had to cancel my flight so I can get the package tomorrow morning, costing me $600 and two hours of wasted drive time thanks to their laziness. I'll be relocating my services to another store because I just can't trust these folks to do their job. read more

There are a number of things I like about going here: 1. GREAT, inexpensive pricing for the same quality you would get at FedEx Kinko's up the street. 2. Fantastic service. 3. Much easier parking than you would find up the street. Th UPS store is located in the little alleyway right before the shopping center -- right across the street from the Buffalo Wings & Pet Groomer's. I don't think people understand the meaning of the word "sketch", though, because it's impossible to find "sketchy" parking in downtown Kirkland. It's perfectly fine, definitely not a valet-style parking lot but it's far, FAR from sketch. Will be highly recommend their services to all my friends. read more

May not be as fully featured as the FedEx (formerly Kinkos) down the street but the service level and all around helpfulness of the staff makes up for it. In spite of only having one or two people working the counter at any one time, they manage to handle customers patiently, politely and quickly. It's too bad there aren't more office style services available - I still wind up at the FedEx periodically - but overall way better experiences here. read more

What can you say about a place where you go to pick up your mail? I've had a box here for years and am very pleased with the service. Whenever a package arrives they send an email. The location is great with ample parking and a good terikayi place nearby for a quick lunch. The staff is always friendly. New owners have just taken over, resulting in slightly more misplaced mail than usual but I'm sure that's temporary. Having a private mailbox means there's always someone to sign for your packages and nobody can steal your mail out of your home box. I couldn't do without it. read more

Really understaffed... went here and only 1 person working... 1 person handling receiving UPS packages, shipping and packing boxes, etc... It was a complete nightmare... there was a huge line ... I left and actually drove to the other UPS store at 124th Street to drop off my package and get a receipt. Something that took 30 seconds would have taken an hour at this location. Biggest group of clowns I've ever encountered. If you want to burn 20 minutes standing around waiting for help or you want to lose a package inexplicably, this store has you covered. Three times now they've lost a package by simply not handing it off to be picked up. All have required me to file a trace with ups so they can locate it, only to have me go into this store two weeks after the trace is initiated to have the incompetent staff look for, and eventually locate, the lost package in a pile of what I can only guess are other lost packages. Today was the last straw. They lost another package, nearly refused to acknowledge the drop off receipt was from their store, and ultimately refused to look for the package in the store because it would probably get to its destination eventually and there was nothing to worry about. read more

A few days ago I went into the Kirkland UPS on Main Street to pick up a package and was surprised to see none of the employees wearing masks. I was the only one in the store with a mask. We wear masks to protect other people from getting the virus, and I was surprised to see the employees not respecting this. Is this a UPS policy in general, or just that of this one store? Love this place and for the last few months have used it several times a week to mail packages for my business. These people are quick, friendly, professional and really seem to care about giving high quality service. Compared to the US Post Office this is like heaven. So relaxed and upbeat. I can use the supplies like tape and scissors and the staff always is ready help with printing or faxing. Kind of surprised to read negative reviews of customers who blame this office for mix ups with delivery be UPS -- a gigantic operation. I always have a great time intreating with staff there. A month or two ago, when a package was returned to me because the recipient didn't give me their correct current address, the folks here were generous and offered me a little discount on my re-ship. It wasn't much, but it was the thought that counted and really made my day! Every other experience I've had here, they have been helpful and kind, and I love the fact that they have a dog hanging out in the store. I generally do not ship UPS unless I must - or unless I am returning an item via a prepaid shipping label (to Amazon, LLBean, etc) - it's just very expensive for the speed as compared to the USPS. All my drop-offs have been easy peasy and the workers are friendly and pleasant and all the returns have gotten where they were going. But this review is about their customer service the other day, specifically the owner's attitude. I had them pack and ship a package on a Wednesday and was told it would go via ground and be there Monday. When it had not arrived, I checked the UPS site and it said "expected delivery: Wednesday". I stopped by the store with my receipt and a printout of the information from the site. I asked the owner about the difference in delivery dates between what his employee told me and what the UPS site said. He basically said "ground delivery is not guaranteed, if you had paid for something faster with a guarantee and the date wasn't met then I could refund part of the fees." I told him I understood but that his employee had told me "Monday". Not "maybe Monday", not "shooting for Monday", but "Monday". He told me it was basically my word against hers. I said "okay, well since she is not here to ask, in the interests of good customer service, would you consider refunding a portion of the shipping costs" and he said "no, that would not be good customer service. Good service is not offering refunds when I don't need to." I responded "I think you misunderstand.... you should assume the customer is right (ie take my word for what your employee said) and do what you can for me, and then clarify with the employee later". I then asked if he would refund what I paid for the packing/box instead. He said "no that *wouldn't be good customer service*". He said "good customer service is not refunding any money I don't have to, and siding with my employee since I cannot imagine she would make such a statement". He then said he assumed I would of course say what I said "just to get money from him." I attempted to explain *that* backwards thinking and explain what "customer service" means but he wasn't getting it and his last statement to me about my trying "to get money from him" assured me I truly would get *nowhere* with further discussion. Just reviewing so folks have another perspective on this particular UPS store. FYI: Did a little research and the package I sent via UPS would have cost me about the same via USPS but gone Priority Mail - 2 Day delivery and been there Saturday. Yes, the rates are set by UPS corporate as the USPS rates are set the USPS, but thought I would share as an interesting side note. read more

I placed an online order to have some things printed. I got an email the my order had been received but nothing after that for a few days. When I called, they couldn't find my order. I was put on hold for a least 10 mins and they finally found it, told me they would start to process the order and I SHOULD receive an email when it is ready, but couldn't tell me an estimate time. When it was finally ready, I went to pick it up and the guy working was very polite. read more

Forwarding mail I lived in Kirkland and used the UPS Store on Main Street services since Apr 1996 (11 years ago) when I moved. I kept the PO Box at the post office that was three blocks away from their location. Every couple of months I would fax them, usually followed by a phone call and then by e-mail. To collect the few piece of mail, put them in an envelope and mail it cost about $20/event. Without ANY notice they changed me about $66 last time to my MC card. Using another local UPS store I was able to get the price lowered back to around $20/event. I would never do business with this store on Main Street again. read more

I usually do not leave reviews but I have had the worst customer experience with this franchise. Extremely poor customer service, no acknowledgement of fault, no desire to make the customer happy, and then essentially stealing money from me in the end. I would not recommend doing any business with this franchise and they seem very distrustful. It took over 3 months for an insurance claim to be paid. The manager, John, would take days and sometimes longer to reply to my emails and questions. He gave me the run around when gathering information for the claim and made me feel that he hoped I would eventually give up. I finally received my claim check but John took out the shipping cost from my refund in order to mail the check. I am reaching out to UPS corporate as I think they need to be aware of the damage this location is doing to their brand. read more
