    Yesterday I encountered the WORST customer service experience at A1 Mail in Mission Viejo. On…read moreWednesday I need to ship a very important item to my son who has moved out of state. I went to A1 mail to see what the best/quickest options were to get it to him by the weekend. A nice woman helped me and showed me all the options and we agreed on a FedEx option that would arrive on Friday. Late yesterday (Friday) I pulled up the tracking information expecting to see item delivered or out for delivery but the tracking showed the item had not moved from Mission Viejo and was showing "shipment information sent to Fedex" and "we''ll add a delivery date as soon as we get your package". I immediately called A1 mail to see what happened. I explained what happened and the young man who answered the phone abruptly said "yes, it shipped" without even asking for any information from me. I asked him how he knew since he hadn't asked for a tracking number, my name or any details. He then told me that "Fedex picks everything up every day" and that it was gone. I asked him to at least take my tracking info and look up the item which he did (hesitantly). After seeing what I was seeing that the package had not moved, he explained that Fedex takes "2-3 days" to update their website. I explained to him that I was "stressed out" because this was a bank card and my son needed it for his rent this weekend. He asked if the card had been activated and when I said it had not in a very snarky/sarcastic tone he said "if it hasn't been activitated then why are you stressed out". Not liking his attitude, I asked to speak with the woman who helped me or a manager. He said describe the woman who helped you. I gave him some specifics and he said we have two women who work here that look like that. I could hear another worker in the background and I again asked to speak with her or a manager and he told me he was a manager and had been there longer than anyone. Since I could see he wasn't going to help me any further I decided to drive over to see if I could speak to someone who wanted to help me figure out what happened. When I got to the store I asked the man if I could speak to the woman (her name waqs Diana) who had helped me ship the item. She came out and we pulled up the tracking info which CLEARLY showed the item had not shipped. They both tried to convince me that Fedex had not updated their system. I have experience with Fedex and I could CLEARLY see that the item had never moved from A1 Mail. They were of absolutelty no help at all, so I went out to my car and did a customer service chat with Fedex customer support. They told me unequivacably that Fedex never received my item. I went back into A1 and showed them the reponse from Fedex. They still argued with me that the item had shipped and that Fedex just had not updated their system. They said their Fedex driver would be there in a half hour and they would discuss with him and call me back. I went home and called this time called Fedex and spoke with a representative and they too told me the item was never received and there was no way their system just wasn't showing an update. I received a call back from Diana shortly before they were closing for the evening and she said their "regular" Fedex driver did not come. Diana said I could call his supervisor on Monday and see if I could get an answer as to what happened. I told her I had just gotten off the phone with Fedex and they confirmed the item had never been picked up. Her response was "and you beleive them over us". I told her this whole situation was unacceptable and that I wanted a refund for my shipping fees ($22). She said she couldn't do that and I will have to come back in on Monday when the owner is there. This was a total inconvenience for my son who doesn't have his bank card. The two people who work at A1 seemed to be blaming me for everything and not wanting 1) do their job, 2) assist with a problem for the service I paid for and 3) were completely rude and unapologetic about the fact that they lost my item. I have used A1 mail for over a decade but after this experience I will never use them again and will definitely be sharing what happened to me with anyone who asks for a recommendation for a local mailing establishment.

    A Mistake I Will NEVER Make Again…read more This morning after dropping off my kids at school, I hopped online to see if there was any JellyCat Authorized Retailers in the area as both my girls expressed wanting a certain one for Valentines Day. Luckily, there was one close and it was currently open. I walked in to Paper Annex, there was one gentleman at the counter, I saw where the JellyCats were located, they didn't have any Valentines Day ones out so I asked, (Who I believe is the owner Scott) "Do you have any of the Valentines Day JellyCats available?" He replied "Oh, yes we have them, we have had for some time but, we are not putting them out yet though" I thought to myself (seems odd to not put them out to SELL THEM) but whatever. So I asked. "When are you putting them out" In comes from the back and older blonde lady, who I am assuming is his wife Colleen & she says, "we are not putting them out til the 15th" I Replied, "Oh Weird, I thought it was the 13th as I had seen at some others shops that are not in the area posting about them" She replied, super snotty and said, "well, we are not putting them out til the 15th, people come in and buy them all up and re sell them" (she acted as if she thought I was trying to do that, based on the fact maybe, I'm a husky dude with tattoos and doesn't look like a Jelly Cat collector) "I Replied I thought online that they were out now" She told me "Well, we are putting them out on the 15th" I said ok Left this store and will NEVER return. I am not reseller I am a single, widowed dad of two girls that was trying to get a jump on getting their valentines day gifts early. I hope she's (Colleen) is ok with her wrong and semi discriminatory assumption of me along with her POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! All good Scott & Collen, I tried to support your small business. You wanted to be rude and unkind. I hopped online to JellyCats website Got what I needed Shipping was free & I NEVER have to come back into your business. Cheers!

    Cute place for gifts but definitely don't rent a box and have your mail come here! Soooo many…read moreissues receiving mail since new owners took over. Multiple conversations to try to get them to take mail delivery seriously and not make soooo many mistakes... but it just goes in 1 ear and out the other. No care or concern, no apologies just excuses followed by more mistakes. Really disappointing to know some people can be so horrible and treat long standing customers so rudely!
