Canada's passport photo requirements differ from the United States' requirements. Finding a knowledgeable photography center was surprisingly difficult. We traveled to Mill Valley to the UPS store in the Blithdale shopping center. That particular UPS store uses a new stand alone computer which allows the store to select a particular country among many countries and tailors your photo to that country's specific requirements. The store's photographer, who was terrific, uses a hand held 50 mm camera and quickly snaps a photo of you against the appropriate white background. The photo is accepted and printed if it exactly meets the country's requirements. You then can bundle your required passport application with your new passport photo and ship it via UPS to your chosen country. If your chosen country happens to be Canada, we were warned to follow Canada's requirements exactly. read more

Happy Returns experience - do not take your Happy Returns to this store. The person that took my return was rude. I stayed quiet. I asked for a receipt of the drop off, which annoyed him, but he gave me one nonetheless. Today, I arrived home to find the return sitting on my front porch. I called the store and they explained a mistake had been made and the item was put in the UPS bin and sent back to me. They told me I needed to get a new return code from Happy Returns and bring it back. They were unapologetic and rude (again). I used to go to this store for other needs, but this experience has put me off from ever returning. Edited following owner's comment: Thanks for responding. I stand by my account. The honest mistake cost me 30 minutes of phone calls today between Happy Returns and Athleta. It will also cost me another 20 minutes of my time tomorrow when I take the return back to another store for processing. read more

Because I'm an artist, I do a fair amount of shipping through this store. I have found the service here to be crisp and efficient by the two brothers who now own the store and their various employees. I don't know the exact date but probably around early 2021 these guys bought the business from the previous owner who was the WORST management on the PLANET. Thus, the 3.2-star rating here is undeserved, so please disregard old one-star reviews, which were for the previous management. In these days of lack of commitment and just lip service when it comes to customer service, it is such a satisfying experience when a representative is polite, attentive, shares your concern, and goes the distance to take care of you. Matt, the owner/manager of this UPS location helped us track down some valuable art prints destined to be hung in a gallery that were meant to be shipped to our home address but were shipped to the UPS store location with no other information than that address. Nearly a month later, and some frayed nerve$$$, Matt tracked them down. It's not just the result that is impressive, it's also the way he reassured us during the process that he would go through all the possibilities and channels to make sure we were united with our parcel. Customer service was negligent at 8:55 am on Saturday, December 2nd. AVOID THIS STORE. Employee 150824 didn't want to answer questions, and when I left made all sorts of insulting noises. She was also not-nice to the woman on the phone. Granted everyone can have a tough day, but asking questions isn't a crime when you've never done anything before. read more

Clinton was the notary, and the documents were from Wisconsin, so he had to make some adjustments and he knew exactly what changes he needed to make. I needed to ship/return something I bought on Amazon, and I had the shipping label in an email. Similar to the FedEx/Kinko's in Sausalito, I figured I could just forward my email to their business email address and they would print it out for me. But no - they devised a plan to make the process miserable and to make much more money doing it their way. So instead, they require you to pay to use their computer/internet and print it out yourself. I figured it's not a big deal since it would take me about 45 seconds to log into my email and print it out, but NO - they conveniently require you pay for a minimum of 10 minutes usage. When I asked why I couldn't just email the shipping label to them to print out, they said it would take too long for them to receive. Yes - an email. Utter stupidity. Then when I log on to their computer, it's already logged into someone else's gmail account. Super secure! I ended up paying $5 to have a shipping label printed out, but the whole customer experience dealing with them and their designed process is what inspires this review. Talk about nickel-and-diming your customers. Will never go to this location again. read more

The UPS Store - Excellent service! - Printing Services Near Me - Mill Valley, California

approximately a month ago, I was having trouble obtaining standard supplies from ups stores in the bay area, corporate directed me to this store here, there were two guys there , David and Clinton, and although didn't have to, went above and beyond assisting me with obtaining the materials I needed, I.e. boxes, and label sleeves that nobody on the other side of the bay would go out there way to provide. I drove all the way from alameda to mill valley and these guys had the materials waiting for me. very friendly and very helpful, enough to impress me to write this review. thank you very much for your assistance fellas , big thumbs up and appreciation. I arrived at 3:53 with an Amazon return and was told I couldn't return it because it wasn't in a bag, and they wouldn't sell me a bag because they have already closed the registers. Two other customers were in line behind me (we all arrived before 4), but were told they had to leave the store because they were closed. Something strange occurred and this rating is to reflect this one situation. I went to UPS to mail a gift to a family member in pre-packaged box. I was essentially only looking to purchase a label. Today, that family member received a box of coupons and adds from me. This is NOT what I mailed to them. When I tracked the package, UPS online showed it was delivered. I called the store to find out if there had been a mistake. I witnessed the man place the label on my item while in the store so I was confused. The man stated his system showed what I mailed was delivered. I feel that something suspicious might be happening considering no one is likely to mail coupons and adds in a box to anyone. I had 8 large packages shipped to me in NJ from this store. I spoke to Angel on Monday who was king enough to talk to me about the order and how he packed it. The boxes consisted of very expensive musical gear; guitars amps speaker cabinets etc. Angel told me he spent 4 hours packing everything up so that there would be no issues as far as damage. The packages have all arrived to me on the East Coast, and as Angel promised....they were packed really well. A job well done!!! read more
