Great service, very organized. Super friendly staff. 'Hold Mail' also works like a charm.

Very unhelpful attendants. You might as well just do self service for everything unless you want to deal with attitude.

I'm surprising myself by writing a gushing 5-star review for a post office I only went to once…read more I mean, how can you tell one post office from another in order to even write a 5-star review? I guess my way to determine this would be to ask myself: Would I drive past a bunch of other post offices to go to this one? Answer: I would drive past a bunch of other post offices to go to this one. There's only one other bay area post office so far with this distinction, and that's the one next to the Manor shopping center in Pacifica. What these two post offices have in common is that they are small. Like, tiny small. I feel like this gives the agents a chance to really get to know their communities and their customers. They are not simply churning through long, soul-killing lines of strangers while trying to maintain their sanity...they actually have the time and space to look along the line and recognize their regulars. In the meantime, they feel relaxed enough and empowered to make personal connections with new customers. Which brings me to my experience here. My daughter and I only came to this location because it was close to where we were having dinner, but I would go out of my way and pay a bridge toll to return because our agent was so personable and friendly and went out of her way to connect with us. Then, just as we were finishing up, one of her regulars came in. She called out to her customer by name and quickly predicted what she would need. I could tell that the customer felt appreciated and recognized. Can't beat that boss level of multi-tasking.

They have them in other post offices and if you're going to force people who use Click N Ship to wait in line to be inspected, they'll just use UPS. 3. INSTEAD of waiting as the woman said I needed to do (so she can look at my labels), I left and drove to San Rafael where they were positive and helpful in simply taking the packages without a fuss. No line. 4. It's over 80 degrees. Some of us have work to do and standing in line just to hand over packages (heavy ones) that are ready to ship, is not a great way to be efficient. I've been bringing packages to the post office for business for years. Never once has anyone instructed me to stand and wait so my labels could be checked. If I didn't pay enough, bill me the way you always do. I'm not holding my credit card anyway. I've got 20 pounds in packages!

Canada's passport photo requirements differ from the United States' requirements. Finding a…read moreknowledgeable photography center was surprisingly difficult. We traveled to Mill Valley to the UPS store in the Blithdale shopping center. That particular UPS store uses a new stand alone computer which allows the store to select a particular country among many countries and tailors your photo to that country's specific requirements. The store's photographer, who was terrific, uses a hand held 50 mm camera and quickly snaps a photo of you against the appropriate white background. The photo is accepted and printed if it exactly meets the country's requirements. You then can bundle your required passport application with your new passport photo and ship it via UPS to your chosen country. If your chosen country happens to be Canada, we were warned to follow Canada's requirements exactly.

I asked for a receipt of the drop off, which annoyed him, but he gave me one nonetheless. Today, I arrived home to find the return sitting on my front porch. I called the store and they explained a mistake had been made and the item was put in the UPS bin and sent back to me. They told me I needed to get a new return code from Happy Returns and bring it back. They were unapologetic and rude (again). I used to go to this store for other needs, but this experience has put me off from ever returning. Edited following owner's comment: Thanks for responding. I stand by my account. The honest mistake cost me 30 minutes of phone calls today between Happy Returns and Athleta. It will also cost me another 20 minutes of my time tomorrow when I take the return back to another store for processing.

I would rather drive another 10 minutes to have the ability to drop my daily packages off without a hassle. I've been using click n ship for business for YEARS, and every post office allows people who have labeled and prepped packages to LEAVE THEM. San Rafael didn't just let me leave them, they greeted me kindly across the huge room and asked if they could take my pre-labeled packages before I even got up close. I'll happily drive to San Rafael for nice people any day. I'm bummed that Corte Madera is shut down right now. I'll never step foot in Larkspur USPS again. I can see that being trouble after just 2 interactions.

Postal delivery isn't rocket science but clearly the employees here certainly think it is. Forcing a disabled person, who lives on a very limited income and has limited accessibility to public transportation (which is a joke in Marin), to walk to the postal branch (over 10 miles) to pick up mail your employees can not seem to figure out how to deliver to a customers front door, knock on that door and get a signature is cruel just to start with!!! What are customers paying for? Ineptitude not delivery to start. Well I reported EVERYTHING. The outgoing mail not being picked up for multiple days at a time, the lack of care in delivery - my neighbors constantly getting someone else's mail, and the lack of basic care in delivering a package which needs a signature. The carrier either cannot read or is just lazy. The supervisor of the branch doesn't seem to understand how to be a supervisor or hold employees accountable for their ineptitudes. The supervisor focused on only one of the three major problems myself and my neighbors are experiencing. Genius!! . Well this will hopefully with the Regional Supervisors involvement this all change for the better for every customer in my area soon. Putting a persons health at risk because your employees can't get their shit together is going to bite, especially if something like a medical emergency happens while I'm trying to get to the branch to get my mail, MAIL THAT MY PHYSICIAN PAID EXTRA FOR TO ENDURE DELIVERY!!!! As I expressed to the person on the phone taking my complaint (a wonderfully understanding person) those papers not being delivered in a timely manner are delaying my access to medical care and if something bad happens while I am attempting to retrieve my mail or for some inane reason my mail is not available to be picked up tomorrow at the branch I have little doubt, it's going to go exceptionally poor on those at this branch involved. UPDATE TODAY 330pm - I got a call from the Regional Supervisor. We will see just how effective she is in dealing with these inane issues. Good luck to her. UPDATE TODAY. Aug 11. It took me hours to hobble to this branch to pickup the mail which should have been delivered, due to my disability I had exhausted myself and had to get a cab. As I see it USPS owes me $50. to reimburse my cab fare and an apology. UPDATE 14 August - I just got notice for the first time EVER, that someone tried using my banking info fraudulently. The ONLY NEW PLACE I USED MY CARD WAS HERE. Pretty sus. No accusations, but a pretty odd coincidence. I got a call which went to voicemail. The carrier apparently was asked about contact attempts. Of course they claimed they had knocked several times...if this was true, why leave the orange notice in my mailbox and not at the door LIKE EVERY OTHER TIME THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED NO MATTER WHERE I WAS LIVING OR STAYING. I call LLPOF!!! Why did the Supervisor not mention issues with mail not being picked up, regularly? All the mail not delivered to the proper address causing my neighbors to leave a note pleading for the carrier to please take more care in deliveries. Who here is surprised the carrier did not own up to not making any effort to contact me, what about the second day when I requested a second attempt...apparently that was left out of the conversation as it was not mentioned. I will be bringing these points up the the regional director on Monday, I'm betting I get to hear lots of crickets of excuses. Cameras are being installed within the next few months, no more just taking someone's word about how they did their job when clearly this was not the case.

On the outside are parking spots that fit roughly 85% of your vehicle (as is customary in hell). On the inside is a revolving door of unprofessional employees and a store that looks like it gets cleaned every solar eclipse. I remember walking in one day and there was dog vomit on the carpet and I thought "Well, this is certainly on brand." I was unfazed as I tiptoed through the vomit that had been tracked throughout the store. I held my breath as the employee gave me an entire breakdown of how terribly the owner treated them (in general), how he refused to address the biohazard, and how it wasn't their job to do so. Today, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner myself, who was so incredibly unprofessional and rude to me that another customer actually stopped me outside to apologize for his behavior. It made me miss the dog vomit and masterclass in patience. I'm actually grateful for today's unpleasant interaction because it led me to this particular UPS franchise (very close by, in Mill Valley). There is ample parking (that fits a whole car). When I walked in, I was in shock by how absolutely clean it was. I literally stood in the front door in awe for an awkwardly long period of time. The gentleman at the front desk (manager and brother to the owner) was so pleasant and personable. It was like being upgraded from coach (more like the baggage compartment) to first class. We're getting transported with the chickens over here in Sausalito on a stakebed truck full of hay, and you Mill Valley folks are doing high tea with the Queen. This whole time!?
