Horrible print service. Rude, negligent, and unprofessional. Don't even bother. Ordered six copies of a short and simple document and whoever handled it completely ignored my specs but charged me full priced Single-sided and not double-sided like I asked and no clear cover. Not to mention expensive! $26 for this crap. I was in a rush when I picked up so I didn't get to deal with it then but when I returned after work, the woman manning the counter was completely dismissive and ignorant. She didn't know what a clear cover was and completely shut down my request to understand why they hadn't followed through with my correct order. I had had a long stressful week and I honestly just didn't feel like getting into it with this surly cow so I left. They can have my $26, but they will not get my business ever again. Despite all the 1 and 2 star reviews this store has received, I had a 5 star experience at this store and would like to give a shout out to Jennifer and Steven. On 9/9/23 I shipped 3 boxes to Austin, Texas from this store, and unfortunately the boxes were not delivered (due to the address initially missing an apartment #), and were returned to sender- the UPS store in NYC! Jennifer and Steven fielded numerous calls from me about where the boxes were before they turned up at the store (I was pretty panicky about the boxes' whereabouts) and they negotiated with UPS for me that I would not have to pay for the boxes to be shipped a second time to Texas. When only 2 of the three boxes showed up at the store, Jennifer checked in the UPS system to try to track down the 3rd box. She sent out the first two boxes, and when the 3rd box finally showed up (almost a week after the first two) this was shipped as well. Overcharged for the second time, I'm just writing this review and will have the TOTAL charge refunded to my credit card. I have filed a previous complaint with UPS about this store and they suggested I go to another store for better service. Jennifer, the manager/main employee (middle aged Black female, shoulder length black hair, medium brown skin, approx. 55 years old) is still rude and has opened the store late in the past. Shipped the same package to the same location today and yesterday, UPS on 86th was 9.08, this location charged $15.78. Beyond HORRIBLE customer service. I've been to this location before, and the main female cashier always has such a smug attitude you'd think she works for the State. UPS just needs to let her go - it will be the best for both of them. She clearly is not happy. I went in to print a resume and brought my own resume paper. The male attendant offered to help me, he logged me in, and I noticed that I would need 4 pages. Because I only had 3 pages of resume paper, I told the male attendant that I would need 4 pages of their paper. He must have not heard me but it printed double sided on their paper and single sided on mine. Since the male attendant did not put the paper in correctly the first time, I went ahead and did this - to ensure it was accurate. He even offered to help me load the paper but I denied the assistance. He apparently logged me out before ensuring that the first print job was successful, so he needed to re-log me back in which I did not know about prior to checkout. When I got to the counter, the female cashier wanted me to pay for the extra log in session, and the double sided (counted as 2 pages) incorrectly printed document. I asked her why should the customer need to pay for an error on behalf of the company. And really, her only justification was that the paper was still printed and resources were still being used. So I left and was forced to pay for an error I didn't do. The company should have absorbed these costs. I do not want to throw the male attendant under the bus. He was MUCH more friendly and eager to help than the female cashier, and to be honest would be better behind the counter as he had more notable customer service. However, it was the cashier's job to right the wrong. She never once apologized or even said "I'm sorry, but this is our policy, etc." It was clearly an accident and she didn't even ask him what happened. Lets talk COMPETITORS: You can log in for FREE at the LIBRARY down the street and can also print for 0.20/page and the staff there are MUCH more welcoming - AND are employed by the government. Ironic? The only downfall is that they typically open at 11am (check their website - hours vary). STAPLES: I have gone into Staples on 125th and Lenox also several times and their attendants are much more upbeat and give a more personalized service. Login cost is 0.20/minute that you must use with a debit/credit card (depending on your needs, this may be a LOT cheaper than the standard login in rate of $2/session at UPS). If you bring a Flashdrive, they will even take you to a more private area to assess your needs and make sure the job is done the right the first time. AND they have Full Service UPS shipping. I used to go to this UPS location for convenience. Needless to say, I will never come back and will now go out of my way to have a better experience. read more

I hate this place so much that I literally created a Yelp account just to warn others of its horrors. My grief here was relatively simple but spoke volumes about how terrible these people would be to depend on if you actually needed help. I ordered a defective product from Amazon that I had to return. I go in and the lone person working, a bizarrely hostile yet well-groomed woman named Jennifer, literally refused to speak to me. Despite saying "hi" to her multiple times followed by "Can you help me?", I swear to God I had to ask her, "Where do I put this box?" before she swiveled her finger toward a scale, still without uttering a word. She jumped to insults right away. My box was 45ish pounds, which isn't super heavy, but does make you tired after carrying it for several blocks. Jennifer was quick to pounce after I wiped some sweat off my forehead. "It's not THAT heavy." Jennifer, please. Then she insisted the bar code on the return slip I had printed off of the Amazon website wasn't bold enough. She said, "You're going to have to take this little box back and print this again." I stood firm, stating that that was the best I had and it wasn't going to get any better. She said, "I can tell you that you're going to have some problems if you send this with UPS." I said, "I'm beginning to see that already." Jennifer manually typed in the barcode number while heavily sighing, charged me $2.17 for the tape she would have to administer to affix said shipping label on the box (obviously robbing me but at this point what are my options), and then just left. I asked her if we were done and she literally shoo'ed me away with her hands while rolling her eyes. In sum: I think Jennifer is the nicest person I have ever met working at a UPS store. Actually, no, I kid, because a UPS driver dropped something off at my apartment building the other day, and it wasn't even for me but he was still just a nice human being with a smile and manners. Based on that experience alone, I would heavily advise arranging a UPS pick-up time at your apartment if you have to return something to Amazon, even if it might mean you have to wait indoors for a bit. Avoid the UPS Jennifers of the world at all costs. Don't give Jennifer the satisfaction of making you grumpy for the 5-minute interval after you encounter her. Jennifer strikes again. I didn't run into said lovely employee, but she still managed to influence my visit. I came to the store to use their notary service-- I called beforehand to double check and they said the notary would be back at 3:00 (I believe this was Jennifer). At 3:25 when I arrived, the young man in the store said she was supposed to have been back, but wasn't answering his texts. I waited ten minutes, and then was informed that she had texted to say she wasn't coming. In the meantime, I paid $2.18 to scan and email myself... ONE PAGE. Just one. I'm giving two stars though because the two guys working were actually very nice and very apologetic about the notary not coming in, and were happy to help me out by explaining other notaries in the area. If you need to scan or make copies (or ship for that matter), there is a Fedex location on West 125th just a few blocks over from the 125th metro station (slow service at the desk it seems, but there is one computer station with a scanner that works great if no one's sitting there when you arrive) and there's also a copy and print center in the big Staples/Marshall's complex on 125th (I think 125th and Adam Clayton Powell). From what the guys told me, all the banks in the area have notary services (TD Bank, Banco Popular, BOA, Capital One, Chase all have locations on West 125th-- I went to BOA and they did indeed have a notary). read more

Well, the consistently terrible reviews are pretty accurate. I stopped in last week and asked if they received packages, even though I didn't have a mailbox with them. The woman behind the counter assured me that they did, and just charged by weight. What she neglected to mention is that they wouldn't receive packages from FedEx. I found this out today when I went to track a package and saw that my recent order had been refused by the UPS store, and returned to the sender. As luck would have it, it was a 35lb package, and I'll apparently be paying to ship it twice. No more UPS for me. read more

She was unwilling to answer my questions and was quoting me a shipping price of over $150 dollars. Once I dug by asking her as many questions as I could, simply to inform myself, I ended up paying $ 70. She is unhelpful, rude and mean. She thinks the customer is the enemy. The up side is that KEVIN was the fellow who helped me out once Jen was done with me. He did his job well and is attempting to make up for his bosses lack of customer service skills. Not sure why everyone is really giving this place a bad rap. It seems like people need to look at the price list before they commit to buying something! Ever since I heard that the UPS is now accepting USPS shipments, this is my favorite place to do my shipping. But, person (a woman) made me take out only signing pages (no pages numbers so couldn't put back in order), missed signing a page, refused to fill out a specific notary page, had a bad aura. So I knew from the moment I walked in that the experience wasn't gonna be great. I could tell from the woman behind the counter's countenance: unsmiling, over it, and impatient with the customer she was currently dealing with. Luckily I tend to have my ish together so I think she dealt with me better, but quoted $20 shipping PER small, light package I was trying to send, to CT and NC. UPS, ya'll can't pull the wool over my eyes that easily. Instead, I requested to just buy one small box to pack my additional package, and when I tried to put my gift in it, she said "You can't pack here." Whaaaat? It says Pack and Ship here right on the sign! Since when can you not pack a small box that you just bought directly from the store for shipping? Duh, because I just told her nevermind on the shipping part. OTHERWISE, it would have been fine. In the pretty much empty store at that point. You know what? That's cool lady. I walked down to the FedEx a few blocks away and packed my second gift WITH the UPS box I brought from you, AND sent both packages for HALF the price you were charging me anyway at the FedEx (EXPRESS SHIPPING ON THEM TOO!), with a service rep who smiled and laughed with me as she helped me. Long time Harlem UPS store user. To give an idea how bad this location on 125th/Madison is, although it is 3 blocks from my home, I will happily travel many more blocks to the FedEx on 125th/Adam Clayton to avoid the awful, incompetent service here. From a manager who does not open the store on time (8:20am on a Tuesday, doors locked) and shouts at customers who show up on time, to unnecessary, barking rudeness on every transaction in the last 6 months, to incompetence on basic store management with long line of 6 people out the door as the manager juggles one customer, to inconsistent COVID-19 rule application making the tiny space unsafe, to the last straw today - the female manager whispering to her male worker to ask him to ask me if I (I'm a PoC) stole an envelope without paying for it. Scrolling through the reviews it looks like the female manager is the source of all issues, and likewise I have not had a bad transaction with anybody else at this store. But she is so awful, always unhappy and bad at her job that unfortunately this UPS store is now a boycott on my list. UPS management if you're reading please contact me for details and publish a franchisee complaint hotline to try and keep your customers and avoid the eventual lawsuit from this manager's possible racism. I've visited this UPS Store location multiple times and have to agree with the other reviews on here -- they could use a little (or rather, A LOT of) help in improving their Customer Service. Of all the times I've visited this location, I have NEVER been greeted with a smile -- EVER. I don't think they even thanked me for my business. As a result of the repeated sour attitude of the store attendants, I now go out of my way to visit other locations and will only go to this location if I have no other choice. And I have to second the other reviews to confirm that the woman whom I often see there and apparently owns the place, Charmaine, seems like a very unhappy person. I love our our local UPS delivery guy - he says hello when I see him on the street even when he's not delivering a parcel to me. Perhaps that lulled me into false expectations of common courtesy from the local UPS store. Over the last few years I have had to go there and can say they SERIOUSLY have the worst customer service. I don't think words like "hello" or "please" or "thank you" even exist in their vocabulary. VERY UNHELPFUL!! ! went to pick up a package and was told it was not there - even though the on-line tracker said it was. ! was then told (more like barked at) by a very unpleasant employee that I would have to call customer service. When I asked for the telephone number - she looked like I had just asked the most annoying question in the world. She grunted and barked the number to me and seemed even more annoyed when i had to ask for it twice - sadly grunt is not my second language. Telephone customer service said parcel WAS there! Finally got the parcel after sorting out the confusion with no help from the same employee - who was on a personal call on her cell phone through all of our second interaction. Visited this store today around 4pm , first off line was extremely long but I am patient. My internet was not working properly on my phone therefore I got on the computer to try to log into my amazon account as I am typing computer shuts off. The lady says you need to read the sign. She continues to correct me as if I am her The sign says in small letters you must leave Id.ok no prob with my nicest voice. She is already annoyed with her job and life evidenced by her tone with customers. I knew the computer service wasn't free but she was plain rude. This rude woman is named Jennifer and after reading several reviews her reign of terror must end . If your job is customer service you should at least try to be approachable and cordial or just retire. Stay away from this place unless you enjoy being treated bad. Complete and utter lack of both pride in the quality of their work and customer service skills. I am submitting an amended review to my earlier one, although I will include important facts here from that so that future potential customers are aware of the mistake their making in utilizing this UPS location. First, two statistical facts: 60% of all national UPS franchises NEVER break even - they're either running at a loss or simply treading fiscal waters just about broke. Second fact: it requires over $350,000.00 in annual sales for a franchise owner to earn just a $35,000.00/yr. salary. With this in mind you would assume a franchisee would do everything to retain a loyal customer base and repeat business, right? Seems an intelligent decision, right? Well, this location's manager/franchise owner (that was never made clear to me) definitely reads these YELP reviews as she was so upset with my earlier review she contacted YELP to have it deleted. I'm quite certain she'll attempt to do that with this review. Suffice to say, read all other YELP users reviews of this establishment and they are ALL negative in one form or another. Then, when I went to pick up a package there on 06/24/19 she started what she thought was a witty repartee about my review and not wanting to use their store any longer. This lasted ten minutes during which she told me SHE decided I could no longer be a customer at the store. I explained I was there to pick up a delivery and make a payment to extend my contract. That I NEVER informed the store I was closing out my account.Yes...you read that correctly! This location WILL drop you as a paying customer rather than own up to a blatant error or make reparations. After losing US Mail (my package) over two weeks ago, never apologizing for it or attempting to offer me a solution (instead she claimed, straight faced, that our federal US Postal Service routinely lies about making deliveries when they don't), nor did she accept ownership of their serious error. Bottom line- this UPS Store LOST United States Mail. That is the unequivocal truth. The USPS sent me a confirmation that the package had been SIGNED for by one of their employee's at 7:52P on Friday 06/07. Now, keep in mind this store claims they are OPEN until 8P. Instead, I was told that a full 8 minutes before closing that no one would have been on staff to sign for the package. So, are they REALLY closed by 8PM rather than open UNTIL 8PM? And- Amazon, of their own accord, fully refunded me my lost merchandise without me even requesting it. They obviously knew the package had been lost. I'll say I had no real option other than to use this place for mail as my real address is in upstate NY and I'm here on a long term government assignment. Otherwise, I would have walked out on this place months ago. I've used other UPS stores before without any issues - long term contracts with both. One in Rego Park off of Queens Blvd. and the other in Forest Hills and NEVER EVER had issues. They were professional, friendly, and took ownership of their franchise business seriously. But...this Harlem location? An absolute joke! Be forewarned if you use this service- and read the other reviews. I rarely take the time to post reviews on this forum or others, but, I am incensed by the fact that this business LOST U.S. Mail and provided no acknowledgement, no apology, no solution, and no reparation to the customer. Instead they terminated a customer's long term contract and had YELP delete the previous posted review. You would think this absurd, right? And...I am not one of these customers who badmouths businesses just to toot my own horn. My line of work has taken me to many different countries and I've lived in different communities, societies, and cultures. I have lived with people who have truly close to nothing and in locales where you had to routinely sweep under and on your cot to brush away and kill scorpions and other insects. I do not appreciate pompous individuals who cannot accept fault in wrongful action. I also contacted UPS Customer Service directly. The representative I spoke with over the phone had never heard of a franchise voluntarily terminating a customer's. She went so far as to say she wasn't sure that was actually allowable. On 07/01/19 was the last day of my contract. I visited this location to drop off my key and found there was still a package there for me. It took the one worker on staff almost ten minutes to find it ( this is a small place). Then, when I asked her if I was supposed to receive a copy of my old contract and whether there was anything else to do I was literally told this: "oh, I have no idea. I just started here. I don't really know to much. Why don't you look at the pamphlets on the wall and see what they say?" She had no knowledge of my previous issues here. So, adding to the absurdity - this location hires new staff and doesn't even fully train them to answer basic questions or issues. And she was the ONLY person on staff that afternoon. AVOID THE 125th ST UPS location! I was returning a shoe- sized pre-paid box this morning before work. I was the only customer there and a middle aged female employee at the counter. I came in and said hello- no response. And I asked if I could have a piece of tape to seal the box-about 12 inches. She abruptly responded- "tape is $2.00". So rude and I found it hard to believe that UPS could not just seal a small box. I understand not fully sealing a larger box, but just the top of my shoe box? So, later I sealed it myself and trekked over to the UPS location on Frederick Douglass Blvd(around 117th). I was greeted by a very pleasant, professional female who took my pkg. I proceeded to ask her if I had walked in to her location, would she have sealed my box- she said yes. This is the 2nd time I've received poor service from the same person at 125th and I am sure I am not the only person she has been rude to. UPS you can do better than this rude employee. Horrible customer service. Ridiculous price. Since its the nearest one, so i sometime get tempted to go there... And i swear to God that every time i go there, i promise myself not to step into this shop again. During my last experience, i had to drop off a USPS envelope... lady on the counter mentioned that its not fully packed and off course i was the one who did not come with a box for that. I chose to purchase a small box dimensions of 6 x 4 x 1 inch at max. It was almost same size as what USPS flat rate small box is... she charged me 2.8 dollars for that. I said its ok. Then the bill was made for 5.5 dollars... and i asked why... she said... do you have a tape to put on this box in order to fix the label on it.... i mean putting a piece of tape no more than 6 inch long costs 3 dollars???? are you kidding me... She said ok fine then go and buy your own tape.... i was in a rush and ended up paying 5.5 dollars... 2.8 for box and 2.7 for the precious tape they put on to seal it..... This time i told myself... i will prefer bearing a loss of 100 dollars rather than even entering this store.... on top of everything... staff got such a bad attitude... its hard to explain in nice words... thats how bad this store is!!!!! read more

My package was already packaged before going into the store I was simply stating how unprofessional and rude your associate was after I asked for an extra strip of tape to secure my package more as the seal wasn't secure. Also how odd I always receive a receipt when I drop off any package from amazon at any other UPS location. When asked. Also how is asking for a strip of tape time consuming as it is part of your employees job? I didn't know that took more than a second to do LOL! I really have to say that having this location here has been great. It is so convenient for me. It is very close by where I live so it is easy to drop my packages off there to be shipped. I also have my packages routed here for pick up all the time. The staff always does their best to help out, I feel comfortable because they follow the proper protocol when releasing items and they make sure you walk out having what you needed. Without them being here I would have to travel to the Bronx to pick up a packages, which is a huge pain in the rear. So thanks for all that you guys do! read more

I've never had a problem here. It's just a busy little store with tons going on. I just came here to look up the store hours, and saw all the horrible reviews, and wanted to leave my 2 cents. I'm sure there are tons of people who use this location daily with no problem! I get packages delivered here and they take care of me right away unless they are helping someone else first. Not any better or worse than any of the businesses on 125th street. People need to stop being entitled.. yes it might take you 10 mins when you come here. Not the end of the world . read more
