I walked inside to drop off two of my packed and labeled packages. Right as I walk in the lady was so rude, demanding me to wear a mask. I walked over and said I was just going to leave my packages because they were already set go. Then she said "don't leave those packages here, I can't promise they will even be processed". As I was walking up she told me to get away. I told her I didn't have a mask, she said there was some in front. I just walked out at that point. The masks that were up front were in a dusty basket and taken out of the box, exposed. I would have probably ended up getting sick by wearing one of those gross masks. I was so happy this location was open on Sunday. Went to drop off an Amazon return (I already had the items boxed and taped) so when I went up to the counter they simply scanned the email Amazon sent me printed out the label and no charge. I was expecting a charge due to some other disgruntled comments placed earlier but the person who helped me was very helpful, kind, and took care of the package very quickly and I was in and out in probably 5 minutes. Great location will definitely come here again if I need to drop off another item thanks and continued success. read more

UPS is UPS and these stores are franchises. Never had any real issues with shipping, but why does the store in Pinole & Fitzgerald still require masks? It is WASTEFUL to wear a mask for 10 mins and throw it out once stepping out. 36+ months since Covid and old Biden says the pandemic is over. I use this store for my Amazon transactions. Customer service is very good. Most of my pickup/returns are very fast. In and out!

They really try to get you in and out here within minutes. The many times that I came here between 9-11am, I was in and out within 5-10 minutes. I'm addition, this location rarely has a line. I usually only come to drop off prepaid packages but I do see that they offer all other related services. I can't speak to those. But if you need to send a a package, they will get it done really fast here. read more

I love this location I don't remember the young ladies name that always helps me but she's very personable. The only thing that gave me pause was the way the manager worded her request for me to wear a mask. It was more like a command. "We still wear mask here and there are some right there on the counter!" I have no problem at all wearing a mask. I wear one all day and simply forgot. But tone and wording is everything. How about saying. "Hi we still are requesting everyone please wear masks. If you don't have one we have some available on the counter. Came here to have my passport pictures taken because they seem to be the only ones available with this service besides the obvious Post office (with appointment). When walking in, the employees couldn't care less if we were there or not, they waited quite a few minutes to say anything to me before acting like I ruined their conversation. I told the woman I needed passport pictures taken, when I tell you this woman legitimately took 2 seconds to take them, I'm not exaggerating. I ignored the service because I needed the pictures ASAP. Come to find out, I get to my appointment to submit my application for my passport for the post office employee to tell me that they took the pictures incorrectly and they were awful. They told me that my ears needed to be showing in the pictures (which I didn't know or else I would have said something), and that I need to go back and demand my money back because they are notorious for doing this even though they KNOW the requirements. The post office employee laughed and said it happens so often and that the employees at this location need to be fired. I should have listened to my gut when I had first walked in and saved my money for employees who have a professional work ethic. They're lazy and rude, do not come here if you want reliable service. My husband and I went in to get a paper notarized. There was a line and we were greeted, thanked for our patience, and informed it would be about 15 minutes. The lady at the front desk was very professional and kind. The notary witness was also very kind and professional. I asked the notary a question about the paper and she was kind enough to read and gave us her interpretation of what the document was asking. We signed off and the notary and girl at the front desk were able to assist us with certify mailing our official document. It was reasonably priced and worth every penny. We received the document back within 4 weeks (expected wait time was 6-8 weeks). We appreciated everyone's help there. The store was also very clean and they made sure to clean up after each use of the counter and the card readers for COVID. I will definitely come back again :) read more

I was amazingly thrilled when I learned a new UPS Store was opening in just a few months which was just a few doors from Lucky Store where I purchase groceries at least twice a week and close to my favorite Starbucks location. This location is only two blocks from my hilltop mall apartment. In addition I learned that one of my favorite clerks, Cinda, would be working there. Cinda always has a very cheerful persona and greets everyone with a huge smile. The rest of staff is also cheerful and willing to help with whatever your needs are. I look forward to picking up my packages 2-3 times a week. I previously used the Ups store by Richmond parkway which was also great. Cinda also worked at Richmond parkway location and advised me about this fantastic location. The mailbox fee is a little pricey but I get extremely awesome service. U get what you pay for. When you buy a Mercedes, you get luxury service and I'm never disappointed. I highly recommend this UPS location. There is another packing place but it does not come close to UPS store services. read more

The worst experience I have ever had at a UPS. I came in to ship a package to another state and the woman at the counter was nice but seemed distracted. I had to tell her my name several times and eventually ended up giving her my ID and phone so she can input the delivering and shipping info correctly. So she does it, I check it, everything is fine. She tells me it's one price. Input more stuff into the system than changes the amount. The fact that it took so long and she seemed distracted should have been a red flag. I leave, get an email saying the package will ship etc. fast forward about a week later it says my package was delivered but the recipient tells me she hasn't received it. So at this point we're confused. We do research, call ups and find out that the woman at ups input the wrong info, spelled the return and delivery address wrong so Ups ends up just dropping it off at a random address. Mind you this package has a lot of personal, valuable items in it. The recipient tries to recover the package all weekend, ups has tried to recover the package, even the deliverer has tried to recover it . This is extremely disappointing and upsetting. Had the woman paid attention and entered in the correct info all of this could have been avoided. Now we have to file a claim and the recipient had to call all types of companies just to protect her info because we can't get the package back. Never had this experience before, and just thinking about it makes me mad. When it comes to packages you cannot make things kinds of careless mistakes. read more

We went to the Pinole UPS Store, and got our papers notarized quickly, efficiently and personally by the friendly owner of the store, Sunday Mitchell, who also has a great sense of humor. Walked in feeling good that I decided to drop Off the stuff that's been in my car at this location. I walked in and both workers went in the back and carried on their conversation while I wait for them to finish their important conversation. I waited for a few minutes thinking they can't be that rude having customers wait while they chat. So after a few minutes, I said hello!! Some lady comes out and immediately yelled and said I NEED to wear a mask. She said, get u a mask in the basket (in a basket, not wrapped or in a box) how the heck do I know it's not used??? So I refused to wear her dusty mask so I had to wrap my face around with my sweater. I get it, if that's the policy for the store make it consistent not just when this mean lady is there and supposedly she's the owner she said, well, if she is the owner she's definitely doing a good job chasing her customers away! Say it kindly and maybe your customers will cooperate. Beware people!!! The owner (so she says) is RUDE go elsewhere or this lady will bring your mood down! I went in to send a package and ended up getting a mailbox, printed flyers for my pop-up and ordered business cards! So glad you guys are back in the neighborhood. Keep up the great service! These UPS Stores are a bad idea in general. They are not UPS - they're just a company that drops packages off at UPS - in theory. They lost my very important package, it never even made to UPS. They didnt take responsbility and in fact tried to blame it on me, saying "we're not UPS!" - but I left my package with THEM and it was never seen again. read more

El Cerrito UPS on San Pablo Ave is a great UPS store. The lady owner works at the store and must take great pride in her work. She was so accommodating when I asked to return 4 huge packages back to RH. She and her helper wrapped them for me and gave me a little discount because RH charges to return packages initially and then your refunded later. I think this UPS opened not long ago. This was the absolute worst shipping experience that I have ever incurred. The delivery began with an unprofessional setting upon entrance to the store. Music was blasting and the staff was unknowledgeable. Despite my reluctance, I paid for an overnight shipment. My package did not arrive as planned. The tracking system did not work and no one in the office was able to tell me where my package was located. Delivery finally occurred approximately one week too late. This led to a snowball of inconveniences. The package eventually had to be sent back 'return to sender' (which I was responsible to coordinate). I am currently being forced to file a claim and wait for UPS approval to receive a refund for their obvious shipping error. When asked to speak with a supervisor and escalate my concerns, I was faced with an unprofessional staff member who claimed to be the owner. I hope for the sake of UPS that this is not true and such a person does not represent your company. Instead of helping me to track the return and process a refund, she proceeded to raise her voice and eventually disconnected the telephone call. Moving forward, I will not solicit UPS for further shipments and I will be advising others of my unprofessional, substandard occurence as well. read more
