I shipped a package to China which I paid for the shipping $187.36. Now UPS has lost the paper work and CANNOT GET THE PACKAGE THRU THE CHINESE CUSTOMS, WHY BECAUSE THEY DID NOT FILL OUT THE PROPER PAPER WORK. They told me that they could have the package there in 3 or 4 days, sorry I believed them for it has never gotten thru their customs. Now the stores owner wants another $165.00 to get the package back to me or they will destroy the package. They only want the money no service not even a sorry for the mix up. Now to get my package back I will have paid them $352.36 for nothing, no service. The UPS resolution department only backs up the store. So the moral of the story is if you want grief then ship UPS, I say you would be better off going to the post office any place but not with UPS. read more

I've done business here before. This time i came back for another notary. 9/27/14. The Notary woman was extremely rude from the beginning, while explaining to her what I needed. I have worked in retail before and what she did is never acceptable. She yelled at me : Did you hear what I said?! I cannot do that, your wrong. I've had my little son with me so I couldn't give her the response i wanted to. Needles to say I found another notary who had no problem doing what I asked. I've used them before for shipping and never had a problem. So I will give them that. This is about the printing services. I know that it is a small location, but then they shouldn't advertise printing services. I ordered an order online that I needed done in a day. I realize this is short notice, but the option was there online, and it let me go through the whole order just fine. The website said it would be ready for pickup by 10am the next day. I head in around 10:50 to pick up my order. I ask at the front desk, they have no idea what I'm talking about. Then out of nowhere this lady goes "oh are you so and so?" Then proceeds to tell me that I have a large order that needs a bunch of things. I already know this being as though I ordered it and find it weird for her to tell me that. Then she informs me their machine has been broken all the day before, and they had just gotten it working this morning. I inform them i still need them by the end of day, she tells me to come back at closing time and they will be ready. Inconvenience but no biggie. Dawn, or Donna says she will call me if they are ready any earlier. I come back at closing time some 8 hours later to a different lady at the front desk. She looks for my order, cant find it, goes to the back where I can see EVERY other employee just sitting there, and comes back to tell me they haven't even started it. 8 hours later, no phone call either time telling me they weren't even started. Incredibly unprofessional. I asked to cancel my order and the person helping me just wrote my name on a piece of paper with the word cancel under it. Had I not gone online to UPS customer support I'm not sure I would have ever received my refund. Did an online order with FedEx last night after I got home worried about how I was going to get my meeting books done. They printed them in 2 hours without belittling me about how big my order was. I realize I'm young, but I still need my marketing materials on time too. I will say that August, the second employee I talked to at UPS did give me 10% off my next printing services with UPS, but why would I ever use them again? read more

For the past couple weeks, I have been using the UPS Store up by Lunardi's for my scanning and emailing some critical documents. Last night, I decided to stop in at the Crescent store because it was more convenient. Well, for the same number of documents, 5 pages, they charged me $1.55 more than the UPS Store by Lunardi's. The guy behind the register wasn't very friendly but I commented that I couldn't believe their prices were so much higher than the other UPS Store for the same exact thing. He kind of Cheshire cat grinned and said, "Here's your receipt." Whatever. If you need to do ANYTHING, I highly recommend the OTHER UPS Store. They are not only cheaper but their staff is far more friendly and don't act as if they are proud to be ripping you off. Save yourself the time and trouble, just go to the one on Geary. read more

We needed to send documents to Mexico, utilizing UPS Worldwide Saver, and we're pleased to have the docs arrive on-time without issues or complications. It was an expensive service but worth it as we were provided with a tracking number and peace of mind. Thank you Lohengrin for your help in preparing the order. Another store in walnut creek were not sure how to prepare the shipment. FYI: for those potentially sending documents to Mexico, it appears customs in Mexico opened the UPS envelope to inspect its content but nothing was missing as ALL documents arrived. read more

This review is only for one of the notary publics there; I haven't used them for copying, mailing, etc. First time around was when my mother-in-law (who had recently had a stroke) was in with a document prepared by an attorney: Power of Attorney for Limited Medical Actions. This granted her family only making and cancelling appointments, talking to doctors, getting meds, receiving invoices and paying bills: all spelled out very specifically. Nothing to do with big time medical decisions, covered by her already existing Advanced Care Directives and POLST. Despite her verbalizing that this is what she wanted, and signing on the pages, the Notary Public took it upon himself to try to determine if he believed her. His scrutiny was very uncomfortable for her, and she had a hard time understanding why he wouldn't listen to her. Total time elapsed: 1 hour and 25 minutes! Today I went by with a one page document from her doctor which I needed 5 notarized copies of. For this, at the bottom of the form, it required a description of the attached document: date, name, number of pages, type of document... uh, 'today', 'Dr. name', '1' and 'medical letter'. This he had to do 3 renditions of!!!!! No name of the doctor, but a line instead (invalid because the notary form could then be attached to anything!). Then, wrong date. Each time required redoing start to finish!! Time for 5 copies of a single page: 55 minutes! And I was the one who caught the errors. Bottom line is that he is always there, so you are good on finding one. ALWAYS check his work, and if you need multiple copies, demand to see the first one. He would only hand over the docs after all 5 were done, necessitating redoing 5 not 1. Since these two episodes were a year apart, I hold little hope if him improving. He takes his job very seriously (a good thing) but he is not accurate (the bad thing ~ especially when a notarized doc is usually for something legal!!) If I could give more than five stars, I would. Ron, the manager, went above and beyond my expectations for my elderly mom. She got caught in a grandparent scam and sent some money to a person who said her "grandson" was in jail, she didn't tell Ron what was in the package. Through numerous calls, and also keeping my mom and me up-to-date, he stopped the package from being delivered and my mom got her (retirement) money back. He was very compassionate and helpful to my mom. read more

If you need a notary and Laurie is the one available to help you, go somewhere else or ask when you can come back to see someone else!!! She is slow, she has so much unnecessary small talk and she talks to you like you're an idiot. Seriously I have no idea why she felt she needed to give a whole lesson on how to leave a thumb print. I've had to deal with her twice already as well as another man who was much more pleasant to deal with. The only reason I keep going back is because its so close but I will pay more to go somewhere else if I have to. read more

These guys lost my package. When I tried to track it , it couldn't be done because there was no indication it left the store. When I pressed the owner for an explanation he got rude with me and told me that he clears packages all the time but never gave me an adquate explanation. I actually suspect someone in house may have stolen it. read more

Stay away! Their notaries are attorney wanna-bes who want to offer legal opinions about the document you want notarized and refuse to notarize it if they don't like the form. The law states specifically they are not notarizing more than the signature of the person and yet they refuse because they didn't like the way the document was completed. Never use their services!!! read more

I usually go to this Crescent Drive Pleasant Hill Branch because most of the staff are nice.. But I don't there's always a blacksheep in the company huh?! This fat middle age guy I don't know his name because he has no name tag.. soooo rude! He would just print out the picture and He will charge me more than $40 because I told him to make the size smaller instead of regular photo size..He said he has to charge me that amount! And I said whaaat?! Yeah..because I have to pay to a dumb ass like him who maybe doesn't know how to change the size of a picture..It's good there's a smart lady his co-worker told him ..you just need to click it and simply change the size..Thank God for an angel who rescue me to an evil like him..And he was complaining he didn't sleep yet! I don't care you are working! If you don't know how to treat customer nicely why don't you sleep and not putting all your problems to us! I have no sleep too because I study, I work and I'm a parent! The night before my daughter's presentation was due my laser printer died. I saw the Yelp reviews and decided to call even though it was two hours after the stated closing time for the store. Ron was there and said to come over. He took the time to show me where I could improve the images and helped me correct a few small errors. I am astounded that anyone goes to these lengths anymore. Wow. It's like they don't want new business. I went in there to pick up a couple of boxes so that I could pack them at the office and bring back to ship. The older man with the fedora gave me a hard time and said "I shouldn't give these to you, you should pick package supplies up at the hub." Where the heck is the 'hub'? I just want to ship 2 packages but I guess that's not a service the UPS store on Crescent Drive wants to do. I have never been so uncomfortable in any establishment like I was yesterday. I decided to write a review because I still feel terrible about what I witnessed. MICHAEL GOMEZ should really be ashamed of himself with how he handled a situation with another customer. He literally belittled the woman in front of the whole store and I would've never been able to tell there was an issue if he wasn't yelling at her. Telling her he's not going to help her all because he apparently couldn't hear her and telling her he couldn't concentrate because she was tapping her hands and for her to stop. It got so bad someone else had to take over the transaction. I never heard her yell or raise her voice but I can tell they were going back and forth. I can tell he was having a bad day and he even gave the woman before her attitude because her transaction was going to take long (so he said) and he made her go the side. It's the holiday season and EVERYONE is stressed out and if you can't handle working at a retail store or better yet working with the public, you MICHAEL GOMEZ should look elsewhere for work . I hope someone from corporate sees this and has a chat with him. Bad representation for UPS. Will never come here again or better yet I'll call beforehand to make sure he's not there. read more

i have seen the manager and others employees here be very rude, short and disrespectful to others in the store, and he has repeatedly been rude to me, also. he is a total nightmare. and the young woman working there is whiny, unhelpful, unhappy and generally awful, too. there are a couple of guys who work there who are helpful...but do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague unless you enjoy being treated like crap. the latest rudeness was an email he sent to me by the manager that was so rude, chastising me for not picking up my projects fast enough. dude, you are so rude and it is totally uncalled for and unnecessary. i will be taking my business elsewhere, and I encourage everyone else to never set foot in this place until they have a decent manager and staff, instead of an awful, rude, jerks.
