I dropped off a USPS package at the same time I made a UPS shipment. There's an older employee in the store that didn't not seem well trained on policy. I was drastically overcharged for shipping ($36, ground package) but was short on time so I paid. My USPS package was set on a shelf and I was told they would take care of it. Go figure 4 weeks later my package did not arrive and now I'm responsible for an iPhone trade in costing me $400. They just deny any responsibility and don't care about who they do business with. I went in to drop off 2 packages that had already been paid for. They needed to be scanned and I needed a receipt, nothing special. When I walked in, there was a tall white gentleman standing behind a woman who was sitting at a computer - both were employees. There was no one in the store except the 3 of us. He looked at me hold two packages, and continued to talk with the woman, no "we'll be right with you," "give me just a second," nothing. I stood there for at least 5 minutes with no acknowledgement of my existence. Gurwinder ended up "helping me" by telling me to put the boxes on the scale. The process took less than 30 seconds. Don't go here, go over the freeway to the Dublin location. Why do they have jobs? Get a kiosk that can do this so customers can self-serve rather than dealing with assholes that don't care about you. read more

Do not go here and avoid at all costs. These people are a rip off!!! They upcharge EVERYTHING. So expensive to send certified mail compared to other places, even a small envelope that should be 5 cents was a dollar. Oh and they charge you a huge fee to buy stamps, not just normal stamp price. Seriously this place is the biggest rip off go somewhere else where they won't gouge you. read more

I weighed a package before taking it to this location. It was slightly over the 13 ounce limit for me to send from my office mailbox. However, it was shipped to me for $6.20 (the standard parcel rate to New York for a package that size) and my office postage meter gave me the same $6.20 price. This UPS store magically had the package weighing in at close to 15 ounces and charged me $8.78, then $2.99 for packing. So what should have cost me $6.20 if I'd taken it to a post office ended up costing me $12.04. They're dishonest. I will not go back. I think the scales are either not calibrated, or they are rigged to weigh heavier. I've been disappointed with them before but this time, I'm pretty sure they are stealing. read more

Today I had dealings with the UPS store at 4847 Hopyard in Pleasanton, CA , and it was an excellent experience. A delightful young young man named Baktash waited on me.He was efficient, helpful, and very polite -- while smiling all the while. His coworker, whose name, I think, was John did not help me, but I heard him dealing with another customer. He seemed to be very polite and helpful to her too. I visited the UPS Store to get a military/government document noterised. Mallori & Baktash assisted me. They were extremely helpful & polite. When I went to pay for services to be rendered, vice taking my money, Mallori informed me that Military personal do not pay for military or government documents, which require noterey. Unbelievably poor customer service! This girl did not want to help me ship out a package! She acts mad because I'm giving her work to do! Geez! She was mumbling whenever she ask a question and gets mad when I ask her to repeat herself! OMG! She finally completed the transaction and gave me a receipt and put aside my package. Then when I ask her the tracking number she said she'll email it to me. WTH I said no I'll wait for it right now and told her what if she typed my email incorrectly and ship it out to a wrong address. I told her that I need to double check the shipping address as well. Take note that there were no other customers in the store! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! read more

In regards to Quality customer service combined with speed and professionalism. This is most definitely my UPS store of choice. I have used this UPS stores shipping service several times and have never had a negative result. More recently their notary service came in handy as well. Dealing with both Baktash and Jhon definitely makes any multitasking/shipping easier to do. read more

Service is great at this location and I'll definitely return! The staff is friendly and they do a great job of directing you to where you need to go and what you need to do. A clear example: when I was emphatically trying to "pull" the front door as I was trying to leave during my first visit to the store, the staff member (Baktash) kindly suggested that I "push" the door to exit instead... as per the door's label. So at least you know that Baktash always has your back. read more

I think they try to scam people. I have to mail documents to San Francisco along with prepaid return envelope. The slowest mailing price this guy on counter told me was $22 for sending and $35 for return. Good I left without using their service. Created a FedEx online account and was able to do the same shipping for $7.50 each way. Net saving was $32 read more

I understand that nothing is free. Charging $2 to tape a box up with three small pieces of packaging tape, that's robbery. I know it's only $2 bucks, but little stuff like that just irks me. Nickel and diming customers shouldn't be your standard. read more

I've used them for years and find them much more convenient than a PO Box (since they can also accept UPS and FedEx deliveries), and it's much faster to pack up packages from them than at a post office. I also don't have to worry about packages being left at my front door or out in the rain. Staff is friendly and helpful. I've also used them for a quick copy, passport photos, and notary service, or to pick up a few office supplies. Plenty of parking. read more
