The store refused to ship a package because it had a part for a rifle stock in it that was being returned to the manufacturer. It didn't have a gun or ammo in it, just a bit of molded resin. I even opened the box to show them. It was shipped to me via UPS and the auto generated label was UPS, I had to find a corporate drop off to send it. UPS ground is the only way to ship ammo inside the US. Apparently a franchise store can refuse legitimate UPS shipments based on the politics of the owner/staff. read more

I've been coming to this location for many years. This is why I find it very disappointing that I'm stating these facts and why I will be taking my companies business elsewhere. I requested information and they refused to give it to me. They stated very rudely to me that I was the "worst customer" because I asked them to explain if there was a policy change. They stated they have never shipped the parcels the way I requested it. Although the person that was stating that has actually done it the way I request not even 2 to 3 months ago. I requested the managers information name and contact info and they refused to give it to me. I had to coax her into giving me the name but refused to give me a way to contact him. One lady began to call me names. Do not go to this location! UPDATE: and last entry concerning this issue because I have better things to do. Because clearly the person responding to this review from the store is the one of the people I spoke to in the situation, It's very disappointing where I just asked a question and was verbally beaten up by these ladies. (stating that it was a him was obviously a clerical mistake when creating this review) My apologies. **Also FYI I happen to be Asian myself. Can't say that I've had a bad experience here. I tend to print out my labels and pack my packages before hand. All the times that I've came here, I would just check it in and get the shipping confirmation sheet. I tend to go during the afternoon, I don't know what it is, but it's not that crowded during the afternoon at this location. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful and I've always had a pretty good experience for all the times that I've came here. I will admit that I really appreciate how close it is to bot my home and my work place. It's very convenient for me and just a quick stop for me. read more

The worst UPS store I have ever been to. I was trying to print and scan medical documents due to COVID. I could not get the document to print. I asked the agent what was wrong and she stated she did not know how to use the computer..? She then quoted me the wrong price for printing. I began to get frustrated and decided this location was not equipped to handle customer service and my needs. I asked the representative her name. She said she did not have to provide me a name. I was confused; In an industry that is solely customer service based, they did not wear name tags or be required to give names.? I called the corporate office while in the store and gave a complaint. I then called back this same store and spoke with either the same lady or a different agent and asked what her name was. She became extremely rude. I asked her name again and she proceeded to say she wasn't playing this game and would not provide me a name. She then hung up on me. I then called and asked for the managers name and email address to no avail. They gave me the store email which they vet and said they didn't know when the manager would be back and could not provide the direct email address to the manager. This was so disrespectful. I have lost my job like so many other people. They should be thankful they are still employed. Let's boycott this store and get these agents out of there. They should be happy they have a job when millions do not. Update: Thank you for your kind response. You just solidified why no one should come to THIS UPS store. I have spoken with corporate and they will be following up with you. I have a right to ask for a customer representatives name. No one was asking for the full birth given name??? Looking to get in and get my package out quickly. I grabbed a bag to place the item that I need to send back to Barnes & Nobles. I had the prepaid label and the book in the box. Went up to the counter and was expecting a receipt. Instead I was told I needed to pay for the bag. If I had known it was $2.98 for a cheap piece of plastic, I wouldn't have grabbed it. There was no price labels above or below the bags. I thought this was a UPS location. They usually provide their shipping bags as part of the service. So, be prepared with your item ready to go or pay for a one cent bag at a markup of 300% . read more

I like this location. I placed an online print order and got an e-mail confirmation of my order as well as an e-mail after it was printed and ready. The order turned out being ready ahead of schedule, and the guy working there was very pleasant. I had to send a last minute fax, and he helped me do that, too (no charge for cover sheet). I've actually visited other UPS stores (that I will review at a later time), but this one is more efficient and professional. read more

I had terrible experience with this UPS and the lack of service there. About a month ago I went in and paid to have a phone shipped to my sister. After about a week the phone still hasn't arrived. I checked in with UPS to see if they could track it ( I was never given a tracking number) they told me it was delivered and some guy signed for my package. I'm confused on why it was a guy and not my sister so immediately know they gave the package to the wrong person. I filed a claim, 2 weeks ago by and still nobody has contacted me. I went up the store 3 times and employees stated the manager was going to call me. No calls. On my next visit to the store they told me the investigation was closed. How without anyone every speaking with me!??? Apparently it was closed because someone signed for the package even though that someone has a different name and address than my sister! At this point I assume no one cares and no one will contact me. The service there won't ever earn my business and I would t recommend you go there either. read more

I sent an express mail in this store, expected to be delivered in two business days (and paid very dearly). However, it was delivered in 6 business days and one additional weekend (6 more days than expected). When I went to the store to talk about this, the front desk lady refused ALL responsibility. When asked to speak to store manager, she told me that she was the manager and the franchise owner. Her attitude was as good as she physically looked-obese, arrogant, unattractive and disgusting! I then called UPS headquarter and spoke to a gentleman called Steve. Without much explanation, he offered to send me a refund check. The refund check was 70USD (total charge was 122USD). The service at this store is really as good as the physical appearance of the lady--disgusting. I wouldn't return to this store unless I am sure that the store has changed franchise ownership. read more

I called this location earlier today and spoke with Ed about coming in to take a driving test at that location and wanted to know how it worked because I'd never done it before. He told me I could come in any day, no appointment was needed, and that I needed to call the online driving school and let them know first. To which I replied, "Really?, cause they didn't say anything about that on their website." Now maybe he somehow misunderstood my tone or something, but sounded upset and said, "Look, I'm trying to HELP you, you need a code to take the test and sometimes it can take a while to get it unless you call ahead." To which I said, "OK, geez, this whole thing is so annoying." He then got very angry with me and said, "Well, I'm not the source of your annoyance!!" I then replied, "I wasn't referring to you, I just meant the whole process in general. No need to get so defensive sir." He responded "Well, you could've fooled me!!" And then he hung up the phone. Now, maybe Ed was having a really bad day, but that entire exchange really upset me because in no way did I think I was coming across rude or difficult. I called a different location and will be taking my test there instead. I told the girl that an older gentleman at store #1156 was really rude, and she said she hears that all the time about that location. So apparently, it's not just me. read more

I wanted to write a review commenting on the customer service (wish I could have selected zero stars based on the customer service today) received in connection with the local UPS franchise store. Today, I went to mail a package at the 7330 Staples Mill Rd store after printing off a UPS return label. The instructions from UPS explicitly stated, "Shipments must be dropped off at a UPS Access Point location" and listed the 7330 Staples Mill Rd store as one of three options. Two additional pages, in duplicate, also printed with the label entitled "High Value Summary Report" with instructions to provide one copy to UPS and ensure the other copy is signed by the driver or a UPS representative and returned to the customer. The store representative upon seeing it did not explain any associated policy but just said "Uh, uh, we can't sign anything, we can't sign anything." When I asked her to explain what she meant in light of the instructions printed with the label, she stated again that "we can't sign anything and to hold on." The manager then said they were a franchise and not UPS employees and could not sign anything. When I asked her my options she said that a copy could be left for the UPS driver and he could sign and then I could come back and pick up the "High Value Summary Report." Made sense so I gave her my info, left the papers, received my shipping drop-off print-out and said I would be back in the morning given that she stated the driver would be by around 6:30pm and they closed at 7:00pm. I also asked her if from a customer's perspective that I understand the local store policy but if she could pass feedback along to UPS that the instructions present confusion for the customer, that would be helpful. She told me that they don't provide feedback to UPS because UPS won't listen to them and consider their calls to be nagging but rather I could write UPS and they would listen to the customer. I told her I would certainly write UPS but again, if she could pass the feedback along to her manager or the owner as a franchisee to be brought up at the next opportunity, I would appreciate it. She again stated the same thing which is when another customer who was present said to the manager "All the customer is asking you to do is pass along feedback...she understands the policy." In my mind, it is does not come across positive to the customer for you to cast UPS in a negative light as not listening to their franchise owners and second, a simple, "Sure, I'll pass along the feedback is all that was needed." Either way, no worries, thought the situation was over. Later in the afternoon, I received an abrasive call from a man who the manager reported to, who I assume was the owner. He told me the UPS driver had signed my "High Value Summary Report" to which I answered "Great, I'll be by to pick it up" since it was earlier than previously stated. He then went on to say in an abrasive manner, that his employee told me the correct policy, to which I stated, "Not sure why the tone, there is no misunderstanding on my part, I understand the policy." He then said, "I don't think you do, we aren't signing for anything" and then proceeded again to tell me his policy and that I should "keep my high value items" for shipping out of his store. I told him that I was clear on the policy and had only asked that feedback be passed along to UPS by the manager or owner as the franchisee and that I was not going to further engage in additional conversation with him and would be by to pick up my paper. He then at this point raised he voice further and stated again "keep your high value items out of my store" and proceeded to hang the phone up on me. Interesting as this was definitely a customer service miss on his part. First, I didn't ask for a call from him. Second, I wasn't confused about the policy (I understand that there may be local limitations on shipping). Third, all I ever calmly requested through the whole scenario was feedback to be provided to UPS (again a simple "thanks, I'll pass that along would have sufficed). This appeared to be a case where the man who called me had a preconceived idea or was looking for an argument versus first listening or seeking to understand the customer. I have been in the store before, have had great customer service (but never dealt with this man/owner before). Again, very sad and an opportunity lost. I will be writing a letter to UPS letting them know the confusion the "High Value Summary Report" presents and will also be writing about the customer service received from my phone call. read more

The service I received here over the course of several visits (as the only convenient location for me) was efficient and friendly. However, when I was dealing with the man I believe to be the owner, I felt uncomfortable with the demeaning way he spoke to his wife...i wish I remembered the specifics. Worse, it seemed he went above and beyond to ensure I was paying as much as possible for the services...like printing and scanning formats, and shipping options like ups vs Dhl despite my mention of budget constraints. I even brought in parcel dimensions, estimated weight and postcode for a shipping estimate that was half the cost he tried to charge me when I brought the box in (and my box was actually under that). I felt taken advantage of and ended up at the post office instead. I'm sorry I can't be more specific, but it was certainly more salesmanship than service, and I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable going back. read more

One of the best UPS stores I've visited! The service was so great!!! The young woman who helped couldn't have been more patient and kind. I had a large package to go to an APO address for my military son-in-law. That takes more time..and she was awesome! It's not as close, but I love the service here so much more than the one near me! read more

I've used this particular UPS store several times and have always found them to be friendly and helpful.

I usually have positive experiences with UPS but not this store. I took part of a brides wedding outfit to the Staples Mill store on a Wednesday, had to arrive before Saturday so I sent it overnight at a cost of almost $80. I had the correct zip but the store owner told me I had an incorrect zip code. So I went with his recommend zip, and he was wrong and my family had to spend much wasted time to finally track down the package. Thank goodness we sent it Wednesday and it was finally delivered on Saturday minutes before the wedding. So it wasn't delivered overnight and it was the fault of the store. It has been over 2 years and I still haven't received my guaranteed repayment back. I have been to the store at least 10 times and have gotten no help from the owner. I called UPS and they sent me to another company the handles refunds, and was promised a refund, but after several calls to them and always a promise of the refund I finally gave up. I recommend that you stay away from the Staples Mill UPS store. The owner doesn't keep his word. read more

Used this UPS store to mail packages for the holidays - not my first time there. Friendly convenient service and all packages arrived on time. I did feel the person behind the counter questioned if the packages would get to their location by Christmas with a 6 day lead - felt as if they taking advantage of the situation to up-sell me. I knew UPS would deliver as expected so I stayed with ground. It's all good but I'm sure that approached resulted in folks paying for expedited shipping when it was not necessary. My review got filtered and I think it is because this is my only review. I don't believe that should mean my experience there should not be known. After watching the owner yell and curse at a customer for no reasons, then talk to his staff like dogs, he helped me send a package to my daughter in Nebraska. After having me fill out a form, he asked for my credit card without telling me a price. When I asked for the amount due, he told me it would be 178 dollars. I asked if there was a cheaper option so he looked for me, as if I had just done him a great dis service. Apparently UPS ground could get it the for almost 100 dollars less. He was going to charge my card without even telling me the price, or letting me know there were other options. After seeing the way he treats his customers and his staff, and his shocking method of handling transactions, I cannot with a clear conscious walk away without letting other people know about what this business does. read more
