Poor Service, Miscommunication, and Zero Accountability My Situation: On October 2, 2025, I visited this UPS Store to ship a set of important documents to Mexico. I asked for overnight delivery, was quoted about $93, and understood it might take a couple of days due to international shipping. My goal was simple: get these documents to a hotel in Mexico as quickly as possible so the recipients, who were traveling, could receive them before checking out. Once I got home, I noticed the receipt showed an estimated delivery date of October 8, not overnight. I called the store immediately (as my screenshots show) and was told overnight service to Mexico doesn't exist, and that the printed date was correct. My recipients extended their hotel stay to wait for the package. * By October 7, tracking still showed delivery for the 8th. * By October 17, the package still hadn't arrived. Tracking then claimed the hotel room number was incorrect which made sense, because the recipients had already checked out after waiting longer than planned. * Later the tracking message changed to "address information required," even though I provided the hotel's business card directly to the store clerk when I shipped it. At this point, all I hoped for was the package being returned to me. On November 17, I called the store and spoke with the manager, Cindy, to request a refund since the package never arrived on the date printed on my receipt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Instead of helping, Cindy was agitated, condescending, and dismissive. She questioned me multiple times with, "What does address required mean to you?" and blamed me for the issue, saying I should have checked the address myself -- even though I handed them the hotel's business card and watched the clerk enter the information.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I calmly tried to explain, but Cindy insisted her employees would "never" do that. When I asked her to stop yelling at me and told her I would leave a review and contact the BBB, she hung up on me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not once was I offered a refund, a partial refund, or even basic respect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This situation was mishandled from start to finish miscommunication, zero accountability, and outright disrespect from management. I would never trust this location with important documents again. I often ship to Mexico but decided I'd go UPS this time. The woman at the register rudely told me I had to use the self kiosk.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told her I was pressed for time can she just scan it, she refused and made me use the kiosk.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have visited multiple UPS stores none of them "make you" use the kiosk. Just some words of advice, although I don't come to this location anymore. 1. How if I was elderly or had a learning disability? That could make someone uncomfortable or embarrassed. 2. You start "making" people use the kiosk, what do we need you running the store for. That kiosk might take your job. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]He mentioned he was new but was able to display the best customer service skill under pressure.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Meanwhile, this manager is shouting out directions and correcting him in front of customers. This place is very hit or miss. I have had exceptional service at times and at others very abysmal. The employees are generally nice, but seem to be overworked. They do offer a good selection of packaging material if you are not well prepared. There is plenty of parking and this location is easy to get to from 99. The have PO Boxes that are a reasonable price if you are in the market. read more

If you need something shipped and packaged properly and want to be sure it arrives at its intended destination, come here! Robin provided EXCELLENT customer service! She acknowledged us when we walked in, and was very attentive to our needs. She was able to answer all of our questions and did it all with a smile. Our happy buddha is a very special item, which originated from Italy waaaaaay back in the days when I was a kid. Robin made sure he was packed up nicely with bubble wrap and put in the appropriate sized box for shipping. She gave us an ETA of 4.20.2022 give or take 2 days to get to Hawaii. My dad said he received it on that day. SWEET!! Buddha arrived safley in one piece too, woohoo! Keep in mind the price you pay will depend on the distance you are shipping to, so be prepared for some sticker shock if you ship far away. The store was clean and the employees were efficient. They were getting people in and out quickly. Located in a busy shopping center, there is abundant parking. I highly recommend coming here especially if you have delicate or fragile items that need special attention for shipping. Shout out to Robin for A+ customer service!! =) read more

If I could give this establishment zero stars, I would. Today, around 8:30 a.m. , I went in to get some documents notarized, faxes, and postage stamps. The person there refused my ID due to it having a crack in it that needed to be taped. I knew this was BS, so I called around and Googled CA laws about this issue. There was no law preventing this clerk from processing my request. My ID was not expired and was intact. This clerk basically refused the service. I went to two other UPS stores and was accepted. I got my stuff notarized, but I had to travel further away from my home to do so. This place lost $70.00 of business today and my patronage forever. read more

The UPS Store - Got it down despite the disgusting person that refused my service. - Printing Services Near Me - Sacramento, California

Went in to have a USPS certified mail return receipt request envelope sent to IRS for taxes. Wanted to assure that they get it so required return receipt. Envelope was less than 6 ounces 12.5 X 9.5 envelope. Cost was $28.62 I questioned the amount and was told that is the post office rate plus a dollar or 2 for there handling. I was helped by employee #282370. No tracking info in USPS system so started looking at receipt and notice they sent it Metered Mail - Ground advantage. Not sure if there return is greater this way but checking the USPS if it went first class which is considerably faster it would have been less than $12.00. read more

I just went over during my lunch hour to get a LiveScan done. I assumed they'd be super busy being it's a Monday during lunch. They were definitely busy! Robin, the manager, was incredible though! She was multi tasking well, providing amazing service, and was very kind. She was able to assist her employees with recommendations while also working on her task at hand. With 10+ customers in the store doing different things, I was still in and out of there in 10ish minutes! Thanks Robin and team! I came in for a POA notary for my mother and was sorta clueless how this worked. Robin helped us. She was a saint, extremely competent, compassionate with the situation, on the ball! This company better hold onto her, wonderful work ethic and very sweet. She made our day and helped us in so many ways! The other staff was keeping things rolling as well. Robin did an excellent job servicing us with notary and package drop off. While she was doing notary, she was able to help a line of customers great multitasker, very friendly. we've been here a couple times for notary. She's very quick in and out prices reasonable $15 each signature. Given the quick time response in and out, it's worth it versus going to a bank where they don't charge you but you have to make an appointment and it takes a lot longer very convenient doing it here. read more

Had to make an Amazon return and boy was the gentleman at the counter here a speedster. He scanned the return QR code from my phone, collected the item that I was returning, and handed me the receipt all within literally a minute. He was very friendly as well. Great service! read more

Everytime I come here, the workers are always so fast and there is never a line! I'm in and out within a minute or two, which makes it an easy quick stop to drop off my Amazon returns. There is even a convenient drop off zone in front, so someone can drop you off there and wait for a minute without having to go park and walk in. When I used to go to the UPS Store by Kohls on Bruceville, there is always a line, or the workers take long. This is definitely my new go-to UPS Store! read more

I came in to get paper notary and Hiroshi was very disrespectful because I came 6-7 minutes before the closing time. it was my mother's document and she struggles with english so i came with her. She told him "this is my work paper and I want notary" he kept replying "you know what this is?" He tried to confuse her. He wouldn't let me translate or help her at all with english. Not sure what happened to Tan and my guy Geoff but since I haven't seen them here service is awful (female, Asian manager very nice however, this is no reflection of her service, I just haven't gotten her lately)... I've come here for the past 6 or 7 years for copies, printing (frequently), notary, fax (rarely) and Amazon returns (before drop boxes popped up) and they always were friendly and efficient, quick without being rude and explained processes and fees very well. Now, each turnover (bcz they never last and are replaced with someone worse than the last) staff is rude, does not explain things prior to charging and is really unhelpful. Example: I walk in with three tasks to accomplish on the same documents, before I can finish my sentence the young lady is taking 1/2 my documents and walking away... gotta comeback anyway to let me finish my sentence, just having a bad day maybe ‍... but then processes postage without informing me I'll be paying $7.00 more than the postage for a convenience charge when I could just go down to the post office and pay actual cost.. not upset about the cost, irritated but it's fine, HOWEVER, I am concerned for others who may not be able to sacrifice that extra fee and can make an informed choice if given the opportunity., I.E. older adults on fixed incomes, people unemployed due to COVID, families scraping by pay check to pay check every week! Worst UPS location I've ever stepped foot into! They have denied me a few times for packages that didn't even require any additional packaging yet they claimed that I would need to pay more since it was deemed ineligible for shipment. That's pure BS because I went to the other locations with no issues at all! Beware and stay away from this store because they sure love to rip people off or find any reason for you to pay more than is necessary just to ship out a package even if it has a prepaid label!!! read more

DO NOT GET YOUR PASSPORT PHOTOS HERE .... My daughter's photos were rejected due to having a headband on. They charge us for passport photos therefore, I entrusted them to know the guidelines. I took a day off from work this day to make it to this passport appointment. Was charged another $15 for a retake at the USPS passport office. Was thankful they even offered photos so my day off wouldn't be wasted. I went back to this UPS store to ask for a refund because they failed to provide appropriate passport photos per US Passport Guidelines. I brought the USPS receipt to show that I was charged for a retake on the spot. It was the Manager I spoke to on 10/17/22 around 4:00pm after waiting in line for 10 minutes. All he said was NO and I needed to get documentation from the post office of why they rejected these photos. Clearly was my daughter had a headband on which you can see on the passport photo they took. Waste of my time to even explain my point, not worth it. Gas and my precious time is worth more than the refund. He mentioned that it may be because I didn't like the photo and that the post office have been rejecting their photos (Clearly indicates they are incompetent of taking passport photos) I had both my kids photos taken there and with my daughter's rejected. Not worth my time to go through this and to be uncertain whether I would get my money back or not. So, just beware and go someplace else. THIS PLACE IS UNRELIABLE!!! read more

This place has the worst customer service. I went there today to get my package that UPS automatically routed it there because I was not home to sign for it. Waited 20 minutes to try and pick up my package. Then was told to see ID and the door tag. Afterwards, Robin, wanted to see an invoice proving that this was my package. Afterwards, she also wanted me to also provide tracking. There was no warm welcome to anyone who walked in. She was just complaining because the line was long. She took her slow sweet time and didn't offer to help others while the person in front of her was busy. Go to a different UPS is you want better customer service. Employee: 204141 is VERY rude and incompetent. Had a amazon drop off where the instructions literally say do not package just drop off item but this employee would not accept my return unless I paid for a box and even dropped my package on the ground over the counter and blamed it on me. Waited in line for almost 10 minutes to return a prepaid UPS package. When I got to the counter I asked if I could use some tape to tape a box (could t find my tape gun at home and didn't think it would be a BIG deal). Maybe 18 inches of tape and was told it would cost a dollar. Talk about ridiculous! There's also no posted notification saying that if you need to utilize their tape gun for a small package that a fee will be incurred. I will never go back to this UPS store again. When I questioned the employee about the charge and let him know there were no posted fees anywhere he just stared at me and said well it's a dollar. This place is an example of worse customer service you will ever find in USA. The lady was so rude like you can't even explain your point. We went a month ago for passport photo, they give us printed photos and also on request they put it on our flash drive as I needed digital images also. Today the lady said it's not possible that they can put passport photos on flash drive, they don't have system for that, literally said I m lying, I explained that's the only reason I came back, she didn't even showed any politeness to explain me why she can't, just wanted me to leave the store. I am appalled by the customer service here. First and last time i will ever enter this store. First of all the store reeked of cigarette smell. Secondly the guy who helped me threw my package on the floor and his response to me was "oh are those books" i said " uh, no those are lights and they are fragile" he says " oh well, if you packaged it correctly then it wont break" i said " could we write fragile on there" he says " oh no if you do that they will damage it even more" i can not believe he just tossed my package on the ground like it was trash! I came in for a simple one page black and white print because my printer was down and I needed a quick solution. Elsewhere, that would have cost me 15 cents. But because I used my usb drive, they added a dollar on top of it. Really?! I know I should have asked, but you might have mentioned when I handed you my usb drive that it would increase my price by almost 700%. Especially since it's not common practice among your competitors to add that charge. Poor customer service, and not just on this issue. While I was waiting in line, the cashier charged a customer on shipping when it was already postage paid and only took that charge off after the customer caught it. Next time, I'm going to Staples. If you end up here, I recommend double checking the prices, before ordering, and again before you pay. read more

I found out that every UPS store is individually owned. They all have their own rules. I was expecting each UPS store worked the same way. I came in thinking that I could bring in my USB flash drive with some PDF files and get it printed. When I came in to get it done, the woman at the counter told me that I would have to pay $1 for each print. My mouth just dropped since this was the only UPS Store that has ever asked for something like that. Ive gone to several different UPS Stores over at Fair Oaks, Florin Road, Elk Grove Blvd and none of them have asked for $1 a print. It was the standard same 10 cents a print. I was disappointed. I had to hold my files and go to the familiar UPS Stores nearby that I know wouldn't charge me an arm and a leg. SO YES! All UPS stores are individually runned differently. read more

Do not drop anything off at this location. Dropped off a package with them to be sent USPS on July 25th. Was an expensive return. The return was never received by the company I was sending it to and the post office stated they never received it from the UPS store. UPS store is not and will not claim responsibility. If this is the case they should NOT be accepting packages meant to be sent USPS. read more

They failed to put the return label on my package, so it was returned to my home address. I understand mistakes happen, but the condescending, rude treatment I received when trying to return it the second time today was unacceptable. Two younger male employees acted like I was not worth their time. No apologies or acknowledgment that I was even telling the truth. I had to call the company I was returning it to because the QR code had expired. I asked to speak to the manager who is the assistant manager who has been there forever. I thought surely he will be professional and help resolve this, but he was worse! I asked if he was the manager, and he said he was the assistant manager. No eye contact. I started telling him what was going on, and he seemed distracted by something else. I told him what had happened and that I hadn't received an apology from anyone for the hassle of bringing it back, waiting in line, having to call the receiver, waiting in line again... Instead, he immediately raised his voice and said he didn't even know what I was talking about. He said how could we know anything about this. I told him he was the one who had waited on me on Saturday and forgot to put the label on the package. I told him I understand mistakes happen, but I don't accept the treatment I was receiving by the employees and by him. He was immediately on the defensive and told the UPS driver that "supposedly" the label was not put on the package the other day. Instead of apologizing, he said that happens some times in a flippant way. I had just witnessed how he treated a man who was upset with them. Wow! I come here often the customer service is ok and they get u In and out with fast service ; but on my visit today this is the second time I've seen a customer in the store without a mask and when I've brought it to the employees attention they have not said anything to the customer which I find odd because there is a sign posted out front on the window making reference to wearing a mask I think it's very rude and inconsiderate and should be taken seriously because not only is it winter but COVID is very real and serious and if someone with Health issues were to get sick because the employees allowed someone in the store without a mask that would be very bad for the store u guys should advise your employees that all customers must wear a mask everyone else in the store is wearing one I find it rude and disrespectful some people feel entitled like the rules don't apply to them read more

I rarely go to the UPS Store but when I do I use this one since it's close to my house. I can't say that this one would be a preference. The staff can be a bit unfriendly and sometimes border on rude. They do take care of whatever you need in a basic way. So I guess that's ok. During my trip to this store, a couple people came in that were quite the handful. The woman behind the counter kept such professionalism and politeness. One of them repeatedly got irate and she never let it phase her. She was so kind in response. I pick up packages here frequently and I was always greeted with a smile and a "How are you doing this morning?". So far customer service here is the best. I have returned packages here too and I make sure I read all instructions and FOLLOW them before shipping so there is no problem when I come up to the desk. I would give zero starts but anyway, here this morning for several amazon returns. We were the only one in the lobby and the phone rang one time. Not sure why there is a need to be so devoid of customer service and have an overall unpleasant attitude. Fairly certain the person serving us was the franchise owner and that would explain other reviews regarding the poor and overall lack of customer service. I can see if you are four customers deep and trying to be about your business. However this individual is clearly miserable and should not be in this line of work. His general lack of ability to smile and be customer friendly and oriented is noted.
