I would give zero starts but anyway, here this morning for several amazon returns. We were the only one in the lobby and the phone rang one time. Not sure why there is a need to be so devoid of customer service and have an overall unpleasant attitude. Fairly certain the person serving us was the franchise owner and that would explain other reviews regarding the poor and overall lack of customer service. I can see if you are four customers deep and trying to be about your business. However this individual is clearly miserable and should not be in this line of work. His general lack of ability to smile and be customer friendly and oriented is noted. Geoff was the customer service rep today and I can't say enough good things about him. He had a line out the door and was all by himself. He managed to rock this one man show with effortless ease, fast and a smile on his face. He was beyond helpful to each person in line. Geoff is amazing and UPS is lucky to have such a hardworking and pleasant individual! I will def be coming back because of him! read more

The astronomical prices??? $1.12 for opening a file on top of printing charges because they don't have a machine to automatically do it? My favorite was the $2 "Martha Stewart for Staples" notebooks being sold here for $6... An extra 10% surcharge for shipping USPS? Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 2 miles to the actual post office... Avoid this nonsense. read more

If i own a company I'd pick people with better customer service. I went to this store earlier today (8/1/15) to try to ship a medium size box. When it was my turn for the shipment, the lady told me "It's going to be a dollar". I was pretty shocked because I had a prepaid label but was told that I need to pay $1. Then the lady informed that it's for the tape. For a 1ft and a few inches of tape. I wouldn't be upset if she was polite to tell me that there is a charge but she wasn't. She also mentioned that if I want they sell the small tape for $3.99. I can't believe that tape nowadays can be super expensive. Bad customer service and they are overcharging customers. I will never come back to this site and I will encourage my family, friends, and anyone taking their time to read the reviews here to do the same. read more

Came here to take some photos for a passport and the people working were friendly and straight forward. They made sure that they got the correct measurements for the photos too. The photos only took about 5 minutes to take and dry. Glad they're instant photos and we didn't have to come back for them another day! I'll be back whenever I need to mail a package or do something else passport related. read more

I took an Amazon return into their store on 10/10/2020. It was in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday. It's a big 23-pound box because I was returning a defective desk that Amazon sent me. The item was already packaged up for the return and I had a shipping label that I printed from Amazon. I got a receipt from UPS dated 10/10/2020 @ 12:49 pm with a tracking number for my return. However, it's been 9 days and my item still shows that it's has been dropped off at the store but hasn't left. It should be in transit back to Amazon. I call the store this morning and I spoke with John. John tells me that they don't know what happened to the package and that I need to contact Amazon to file a claim. So basically UPS employees stole my package instead of returning it and now I've got to get Amazon to file a claim since they're the shipper and paid for the shipping label. Don't mail anything out of here or they'll just take it instead of returning it. read more

This establishment is horrible. I don't know why Amazon does business with them. So I can ship my Amazon package back with UPS for free, but I have to pay $1 for tape. I just needed to tape it shut on one side and it cost $1. If you want to ship your items, choose another option. I don't see how UPS is still in business. Then you put a sign outside that state mandates a mask due to the pandemic and a guy walks in who is perfectly healthy in his 20s and the staff doesn't tell him that a mask is required. Then this guy doesn't keep his distance, but stands 3 feet away from me. This store has the squares on the bottom to show where you are supposed to stand, but they are all over the place that it's confusing as to wear you are supposed to stand. At least have arrows so people know were the line starts and ends. So word of advice, buy your own tape for $1 at the Dollar Tree across the street instead of paying $1 for a small piece of tape. read more

I cannot stand to go in this store but I do to drop off returns. They mark up USPS postage, not sure at what percent but they do. When you ask why it costs so much more versus at say Bel air they will make up some lame excuse about being "audited" by the Post office. Uhm, no you don't. Do yourself a favor, save some $$ and drive 5 minutes further up Elk Grove Florin road to the the "real" post office. On the plus side the people working there are very nice. read more

I like that this store has a spot to pull in right in front to make it convenient for quick stops. I simply had 3 packages to drop off with prepaid labels and a handful of letters to throw in their standard mailing box and was literally in and out. I was offered a receipt for my drop off boxes, which I didn't need, but it was a nice gesture. I"ve shipped several packages back through the Amazon App with this facility 8359 Elk Grove Florin, having NO issues. That is until now. Left return with UPS Store Sept 18th, & status states waiting for shipment to arrive on UPS Website.(When the shipment arrives at our facility the delivery date will be updated) Called to figure out what was the hold up. The person (Tan / Manager) of all people was totally RUDE! Telling me that my shipment won't leave until a container is filled. After going back & forth not understanding, container?? After telling him several times he need not be RUDE, as a container is something used to ship back and forth overseas. He then stated that a container is a small one used by UPS to ship locally. I told him I'm not a UPS Store Employee that understands internal verbiage, and again stating that he was extremely rude, especially for a Manager! Next level... Corporate Office, making them aware of a store (3618) representing them has no business in his position, as he has no professionalism, and or people skills! After looking at reviews of this store, looks like even upper level as no concern about Customer Service. They respond to other reviews, excluding anything having to do with complaints about RUDENESS! As it appears that their have been multiple complaints about this so called Manager. This store is always understaffed but I have never gotten bad customer service. I just docked down one star because being understaffed really hinders business. I have to wait up to 10 minutes sometimes just to pay for some sheets of paper I printed out. I always come here to print and that's about all. Worst customer service I've ever experienced! Tan Nguyen, the manager, will do everything he can to not help you with Amazon returns. He doesn't understand the contract that UPS has with Amazon. 1/21/15 hubby put a bad review (rude worker) owner saw reviews I had (2) total,1 mentioned what kind of car I use to drives, figured it had to be mine. So the owner called me 8:42 am ,said corp called him and tracked down my review though my IP address and he knows it was me because of car I drive, said he's cancelling my box (that I pre-paid for though 5/4/2015) and threatened any mail that comes in after 2/1 will be returned & he would refund Feb &, any mail that comes in before 2/1 he will WITHHOLD FROM ME AND NOT GIVE IT TO ME UNTIL I REMOVE MY YELP REVIEW! Legally he can not do this. I complained to BBB, SOS, UPS corp office, USPS Postmaster. now that He was told by Corp that he can not do this,now he issaying he never told me this, tht he only gve me a 30 day notice, all mail is inbox waiting for me. Now he's saying the day I was tthere and experienced rude service from his rude employee, that I was banging on mail box's while girl I complained about was in the back putting mail away. Oh really? Lol I would love to see proof. I am sure they have a camera in the store. why wouldnt theycall police? They only canceled because of the bad review they were able to track down the owner. So beware anyone that posts bad reviews, he may track you down and cancel your box and threaten if you do not remove your post, he will withhold you mail. he's mad my husband said owners Asian in every way. He said that was racist. He had yelp remove the post. Bad experience? call corp office 877-462-3622 Owner already admitted to the Postal Supervisor (prior to corp telling him he could not do this) that he was cancelling my box as of 1/21/2015 and withholding any mail that comes in befor 2/1/15 and will not give it to me unless and until I remove or edit yelp review. and any mail that comes in after 2/1/215 will be returned to sender. So I guess a customer and Postal Supervisor are both lying and I complained to BBB, Corp, SOS, USPS Postmaster for no reason. Truth ALWAYS comes out. Post Supervisor investigating this said because it is delivered to a UPS store, their hands are tied but this guy can still get in trouble with USPS Corp which is why he is now making up stories and trying to recreate what he actually did and said to me. (and to Postal Supervisor) Darn too bad he didnt learn what he could and could not do from Corp before he admitted what he was doing to me to Postal Supervisor) Harder to deny when it is more than your word against mine. First time using this location and will be my last. Customer service here was a disaster for something very simple. I had wanted to drop off a prepaid Amazon return package that was wrapped in the brown shipping paper and for some very odd reason the filipino guy says that he wanted to remove and see whats in it or can it be removed and put the prepaid label on the product box instead? At first i was puzzled and then I replied and said that I don't really care what you do to this package but please just scan it and give me my tracking receipt and I'll be on my way. Still the person stated that he cannot give me a receipt and that he cannot accept this package so I ask for my package back and went to another UPS store and had ABSOLUTELY no issue with this Amazon return package. I returned to the UPS that gave me problems with my receipt and let them all know in front of waiting customers that they treated me very wrong and with them rejecting a simple pre-paid Amazon return item was just out right ridiculous and both of the filipino gentlemen were both telling me I was wrong. I'm african american and It really makes me wonder if they were thinking I was shipping something illegal in that package even though it was clearly addressed to Amazon but they did not actually read the label but instantly came to a conclusion that I was possibly profiled. This Business gets no rating from me and they won because they succeeded and made me feel very unwelcome at that place of business. read more

Had used their computer/printing and UPS package dropoff services for the last two months. Today I was charged for taping and packing services after the fact. Had I been given the option BEFORE I was charged (This is Ilegal under California Business Law) I might have chose a different option. I however was not given that option they just charged me without my consent. I came in for one thing and they charged me for others. When I asked for a refund of the the services that I did not consent to, the manager Mr. Tan , destroyed one of my boxes, cancelled my UPS dropoff after he printed out a receipt for it, and kicked me out of his store and called the police (Totally UNNECESSARY!!!) because I asked for the UPS customer service number (He gave me an incorrect number) and I left. Very poor customer service. If you read some if the other reviews this store has a bad habit for charging for services WITHOUT get the customers permission. Beware, Bad Business Practice.
