I have been a customer of the UPS Store from pretty close to the time they opened their doors. I thought it was time I give them a review. I have a post office box there and have "always" had outstanding service. ALL of their people go out of their way to give great service. The owners Nick and Jeremy and their staff are great (Arthur, Lindsey, Cory). We Love the friendliness here, it's something we don't have much in South Orange County anymore sadly. I do lot of notaries here and there's always one available which I rely on for my business. They even came to my office when I needed emergency notaries. Although wasn't a drop off, I shipped some stuff here, didn't seem to have a problem. My customer indicated was packed very well. I went here the other day to pick up an Amazon package. It was my first time picking up an Amazon package from UPS and also my first time coming to this location. I almost felt like I was intruding or putting the owner out. Wasn't greeted, my package was dumped onto the floor for me to pick up, no goodbye. I wasn't expecting to be treated like royalty but if you're going to be in customer service, you might consider making the customer feel somewhat welcome. read more

This guy is SO RUDE and has sent something that I paid next day fees for to the east coast ground!! He stole the money for the express fees! DO NOT give him your business, and please report him to UPS if he does this to you! They said they need a certain number of reports to do anything about it. Never again. I had 2 boxes, which Glenn watched me carry in. He quoted me a price and then told me it was for one box. He said he didn't see the other box. Whatever. No big deal. At the end of our transaction he circled my receipt and told me I should be able to track my packages. I immediately came back to the office to check my tracking numbers (which are called Reference Numbers on the receipt, not tracking numbers - confusing). When I called to clarify, Glenn answered and was less than helpful. He mocked me for not understanding that he was being helpful by not making me wait to process my boxes. Translation = my reference numbers wouldn't work until he processed the order. But it wasn't Glenn that explained this to me, it was Rick (who was passed the phone mid conversation as I could hear that Glenn was fed up with me). I have used this facility out of physical convenience and have always been indifferent regarding the spotty customer service. I will switch to FedEx off Del Mar going forward. Never again. read more

This store is horrible! All of the employees are rude and unhelpful except one young teenage boy who is very nice and helpful. I feel sorry for him! I ship for work all the time and this is the worst UPS store by far! If you have the choice, I'd go with FedEx. Very rude !! read more

I had the worst experience at this store today. So BAD that I was compelled to SIGN-UP for a Yelp account just so I could write this review. I can't remember the last time I was so furious in a retail store. To start, I have a 7 month old baby boy. He is an angel, however, it makes my days long and running errands time consuming. I had been to this UPS Store 2 other times and had received terrible customer service, but decided to give it another shot today because it was on my "route" and with naps etc... i am trying to be efficient with my time. Against my better judgement I gave them (him) another shot. I hauled my packages inside along with my infant and stroller, set everything on the counter and patiently waited my turn. When "the person I was dreading" was finished with the other customer, I greeted him nicely (although I knew he was not friendly based on previous experience) and told him that I needed to send my packages with my pre-paid slips. He motioned that I needed to move to the other counter and just pointed with his finger where to go. I had to pack up my packages and move my baby around the store, with no assistance. Not surprising, considering this guy, but still. Once I arrived at the other counter I was putting the labels into the pouches and asked the guy, Rick, if there was any tape available to seal my two boxes and he said that the "adhesive on the back of the pouch would suffice to hold the boxes closed. My boxes were way bigger than the plastic pouch and it basically would have sealed just the center portion of the box. Since my boxes contained several hundred dollars of merchandise and I didn't want to risk the boxes being loosely sealed, I asked him politely again if he could help me by running a strip of tape offer the boxes to close He curtly responded that the adhesive on the pouch would hold the box closed. I asked him one more time if he could just help me out and he again denied me. The whole situation seemed so ridiculous. I was in HIS place of business, a retail/customer service based, business and this guy, Rick, was just being a jerk. By now my baby was fussing and I was so irritated that I had gone against my better judgement and gave this place another shot. I told Rick that I was really disappointed in how rude he was and that I would never set foot in his UPS Store again. I also informed him that he should be ashamed of himself because he clearly saw that I had an infant and that I really could have just used a little help. I packed up my items and left. I was too furious to stay another second. As I began to leave he said that he "could help me" and I told him it was too late for that. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, I specifically asked him if he was the owner and he said he was "just one of the managers" when I went to his competitor UPS Store on Camino De Los Mares (GREAT SHOP by the way) they confirmed that he actually IS the owner of that store and he effectively lied to me. Do not go to this store. They are rude and the owner, Rick is nasty. Take your hard-earned dollar elsewhere. read more

Worst retail experience of my life. I had to return an 85 pound shipment and it was unclear to me from the customer service people from the company that I was returning to that a label was needed. I was strongly suggested to pay for the shipment and get reimbursed separately (they make money that way) rather than print out a label emailed to me by the company which is much easier for me, the customer. The customer service folks suggested to send the electronic label to the ups store, but the employee thought that the link wouldn't work. I had them send the link to me and then they charged me $7 to print out the label. 1 min on their computer with one page printed. It is so clear that all I represented was cash to them. Although what was best for me wasn't completely aligned with what was best for them, the customer service they displayed was pathetic. It took forever, the fact that they charged me $7 was annoying and the likelihood of me ever giving them any more business is remote. read more

DO NOT USE THIS STORE. These people DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PACKAGES! I had to mail sheet music to my accompanist on my way out of town on a Saturday morning at 9:30am, for a rehearsal the following Saturday. Instead of one or two days, it took SEVEN DAYS to go from San Clemente to Ladera Ranch, because it must have been sitting on the floor of the back room for days. When I went into the store on Friday (6 days after I dropped it off), the older guy can't hear anything you say because he has a hearing problem and no hearing aides, and is so clueless it's as if he's been doing bong hits all morning. He kept asking me questions I had already answered like he had a severe short term memory problem. Not even two brain cells to rub together. I explained how many hours of work I was going to have to spend to prep all this "lost" sheet music all over again, and his attitude was like "too bad" - never even offered me a refund for the $9.00 I spent on a package that was obviously never mailed until days after I dropped it off. It arrived at my accompanist's house Saturday afternoon, AFTER our rehearsal was over...and after I had already gone back and wasted more hours preparing a full program of sheet music all over again for him. Guy is a trip. Do not go to this location ever haha. If he is helping you first and some other customer comes in, he will help that customer before you. Happened 2 times in the same hour that I was there. Rule #1 in customer service: help whoever is first. I wasn't in any rush so I didn't make a stink about it. The manager there is shady af. I go to the ups over in talega usually (no problems; the guys there are actually pretty cool) but the one time I got lazy and went here. I don't even want to talk about how ridiculous the customer service is. I feel like he looks at these reviews and because they are so low, he just doesn't give a f*** and gave up. I will never go back to this location again. They are rude and cheap! I went to take back my return box to Amazon and when I ask the if the lady could tape the box she said they don't do that and that I had to buy a masking tape roll there in the store in order to tape it up. I said what a joke and she said we have to make a living. Lost me as a customer !! read more

Poor UPS store. This place doesn't even do what they are suppose to do (accept mail to send out). We all know the USPS mailman comes there to pick stuff up, so you should be accepting drop-offs for that. The guy is working there is not helpful. As with others, service is superb. However, ancillary charges will eat your lunch. For example, $10 to receive a package and $50 per month for a mailbox...they really don't want to sell a mailbox for only a month. I won't even back--prices are outrageous! read more

The guy that works the front is rude and unkind. Not willing to pack even when the sender is willing to pay. Argued with sender about service and was not willing to help. This store has been called a couple of times and visited in person and all communications were rude and not willing to support. I paid $60.58 for ground shipping to NY. It took 12 days because UPS admittedly left the package behind. UPS of America, Inc. said it was their fault and that I was entitled to a refund; but I had to file a request form at the UPS Store that I sent it from. UPS of America, Inc. credited the San Clemente UPS store at 555 N. El Camino Real owned by Jeff Raymond for the $60.58 that is owed me, but Jeff Raymond said he's not going to pay me. This UPS store is a Mail Boxes Etc. I spoke with Mail Boxes Etc. corporate headquarters about the issue. They said that since UPS of America, Inc. credited Jeff Raymond's UPS store already, that he is required to refund my money... but he still won't. Jeff Raymond and his UPS Store at 555 N. El Camino Real in San Clemente are crooks. Please do not give them your money. read more

NEVER EVER again going to this store, I was hesitating to write a review until i read the other reviews and i said i definitely should warn the community about this business. So i walked in with a 24 lb box to ship to the east coast, most of the time if have an open box they will tape it for me for free at any other ups store and this asian guy not sure if he is the owner that everyone complain about... looked at me and look back at his computer , no acknolwedgement or greeting at all then he said may i help you ? without even eye contact ...i almost said yeah I'm here for a kidney transplant !!! he can see that i have a big box did not even bother to ask to help or point where to put it ....so I politely said that i want to ship this box and if you would mind i just need some tape ...and he replied you either buy the overpriced tape he have and tape myself OR CHARGE ME $ 5 FOR TAPING A BOX !!! I simply turned around and left went to the UPS store by high school off of pico and they welcomed me as guest in the 4 season hotel and taped my box and said anytime you have an open box just bring in and we will take care of the rest..!!!! San Clemente is our town that we care about and businesses like this don't have a place here !!!!! read more
