Unclear whether or not this location cares about UPS. Next day deliveries, despite dropping off before 1230pm, have a track record of being rescheduled. Why? Who knows. The blame game goes from UPS store to UPS where neither party takes responsibility. Their drop-off times are clear, I made it with 5 hours to spare, yet next day air apparently doesn't exist unless you find a UPS distribution center; which doesn't take packages. The local location never had a pickup that day. They never called UPS to ensure proper SLAs are taken care of. Update: a corporate call reveals it was indeed scanned at this location. Emailed the receipt to the location's email. No response. Still not scanned into a truck to actual UPS. Apparently UPS stores and UPS aren't great at communicating. Filing a claim. read more

I run a small business and ship approx 30-50 polymailers a week. I have my items pre-labeled so it should be an easy process but hardly ever is at this location. There is a young girl that works there that gives me push back EVERY. SINGLE. TIME about dropping off USPS as well. You accept USPS, they pick them up at 5 in the afternoon every day. I'm not understanding what the issue is. She tells me she can only take a few, sometimes half of them, etc. There's also a young man that works that that is GREAT! I would have given one star if not for him. He's kind, respectful, and does his job well. Lastly, the manager. Until today I've had very few interactions with him. Approx 10 packages were dropped off yesterday, some UPS, some USPS. They were put on the counter because it was busy and I had my young daughter. When I checked my app none were scanned so I called to verify they were in process and a scan was just simply missed. No big deal. The manager's customer service skills were AWFUL on the phone. Stating "this is all speculation" and "you're saying we didn't do our jobs!" (In regard to a simple missed scan). Well sir, it's pretty simple. You had my package and now you don't. But the bar wasn't scanned. Sooooo? Sounds like that's what happened, no? Again not a big deal I just need to know that they are at least on their way to the destination, scan or no scan. He continued to escalate on the phone without listening to any of my questions and handed the phone off to the young man that works there. As usual, the young man was kind, calm, respectful, answered all of my questions, and the issue was resolved. I wish I knew his name so I could shout him out personally. They lack any idea of service and are always a pain to deal with but happen to be the one closest to me so I go. When I can I choose another location. I never write reviews but holy cow do these guys need some recognition... Here I am standing in line waiting behind a lady who is there to do an amazon return. I over hear the cashier explain to the woman that the label she is showing him needs to be printed and attached to the package. He explains he can print it for her but will have to charge a ~$2 fee for the service. Immediately after which she shouts at him saying he doesn't understand what he's talking about and repeatedly says " THIS IS AMAZON" and "I HAVE NEVER NEEDED TO DO THAT IN MY LIFE" Nick (the associate) tries to explain that amazon sometimes forces you to return things in other ways but before he is even given the chance she demands to speak with the manager. So, the Owner/Manager Sean comes from the back and tells her the same thing. She then threatens to call corporate and file a complaint, again repeating that "This is Amazon" and they have no idea what they're talking about. This all happens in the course of about 5-6 minutes most of which was her simply being belligerent and un-willing to hear what these nice people so politely tried to explain to her. I was honestly impressed with how both Nick and Sean handled that situation and made sure to tell them they were doing great jobs. As someone who has worked many retail jobs II whole heartedly feel their pain and wish more people could think twice about how they treat staff. 10/10 Class act I would definitely have not been so calm or nice to anyone who spoke to me in that kind of manor. read more

Great customer service, I was in a rush to print some notes before class, so I called ahead to see if it could be done quickly and Dylan (the worker) who was working alone he printed everything in advance so it would be ready when I arrived. Super accommodating and thoughtful! The line as I expected was out the door so I was about to let my classmates know I would be late but thankfully Dylan spotted me ahead of the others and pulled up the price while helping another customer at another till. I was in and out in what felt like 30 seconds Incredible multitasking, great attitude, and just overall excellent customer service. I'll definitely be coming back. Thanks again! read more

Regardless I entered the store being friendly and asked if they were hiring or taking applications. The UPS Store Owner was rude and excused me, I asked if I could just drop off a resume for if they ever have an employee quit (I have worked at 2 UPS Store locations and am very experienced) and in rude tone said no no no we're not hiring ever even in 2 years and stepped backward from me. Very small UPS store. It's along El Cajon Blvd, there's street parking but it's about 15-30 minutes parking. Every time I go into the store, seems like the employees are just going about their day. No smile not much talking but maybe it's just the day shift crew barely starting their day. Lucky I only go to this location when it's convenient and I have to return my Amazon stuff. The only perk is that it's fast to return an Amazon item. I have Verizon so make sure you pull out your QR code before entering the store, the signal sucks in there. Otherwise I think UPS is pretty pricey for their products on display to sale, shipping etc but hey they need to make money too. Good for Amazon returns! read more

I asked if he could help re-tape the box, which he agreed to do, and after giving him the package and taking a few steps out of the door, I decided to go back and ask if he could add just a little bit more tape, since it was an expensive item, and I felt that not enough tape was used initially. When I asked the worker if he could add more, his behavior was so unprofessional, that it was comical, and I couldn't help but wonder if I was being recorded for some show akin to "Punked." When I said I was worried about the safe transport of a $500 item, he scoffed, looked at his coworker, and said, "It's Only $500." To give a UPS Store a less than savory review means that you must have had an insanely terrible experience. I mean, how much can possibly go wrong? For me, this seems fairly far fetched. My experience was nothing less than five stars. Though extremely brief, my interaction with the young lady at the counter consisted of a nice welcome, an offer to help, instructions of where to find what I needed, and the handoff of a receipt. What else can you ask for?! Was it over the top with fireworks and a parade? Nope, but all I needed was the confirmation that my packages are on their way to their destination all while being in and out of the store in about three minutes? Mostly just come for returns but they are very quick and easy. A lot of times my shipments from Amazon are incorrect or I just want to return the item. This is always a simple process because I'm given a QR code and I just show it to cashier and the shipping label prints out instantly! So I'm in and out of there in like 2 minutes! Recently I paid $26 to ship back an item that I bought with FREE shipping for $59. So that was a ripoff but the item was heavy and didn't have a choice. The other times I've come to use the fax services and it was smooth and quick. It was inexpensive too, I believe $1 a page. They also provide notary and passport photo services as well as 24hr access mailbox rental. Even laminating too. Have to say, it is convenient having this place close to home for all their services even though I prefer College Postal Plus most of the time. read more

I mailed a stained glass lamp to Oregon that belonged to my mother. The shade and base were packaged separately. The shade arrived in perfect condition. Unfortunately, the base was broken. I immediately called and spoke with the manager. He remembered packing the lamp. He was very apologetic about how it arrived. All I needed was to take a photograph of the lamp base, box and packaging to get reimbursed for the lamp base. My check arrived in just over 1 week. Thank you for great customer service! read more

John informed me that I needed new labels because the ones I had were not pre-paid which I thought they were because shipping tires back would cost me at least $150. Some of you are extremely needy. I sit and listen to the 100s of dumb questions people ask and they answer all of them very patiently and politely. I want to give it zero stars if I could have, this guy lied about a package that we mailed and then whenever we called to ask him what was up with our package, that we paid for overnight service. He then told us that we need to find out who put a hold on our package and then after that after I was asking him what's he talking about, that makes no sense he hung up in my face and then when I called him back, he just said come up here and I'll give you the money back out of my pocket.
