Super shady experience. I walked in needing to make some copies, and they just got started without mentioning anything about pricing. I ended up making over 500 copies, only to get slammed with a bill charging $0.49 per page! And they had the nerve to say they were cutting me a deal--apparently it's usually $0.99 per page?! That kind of info should definitely be shared before you start racking up that kind of cost. For comparison, I'm used to paying around $0.20 per page at the UPS Store. Great customer service! I was running late in the evening on Saturday February 7, 2026 looking for business that provides notary services. I drove to the Post Annex in Lemon Grove. As I jumped out of my car, the store clerk was about to close the store but saw me rushing to the door right at closing time of 4:30pm . I was way over charged for a flat rate priority envelope that would've been at best $11 and an oblong package that weighed 3 lbs that would've been $16 at USPS. I was charged $67. I have used this location for over 15 years for everything from Live Scan, Notary, and shipping. I've had a couple of issues in the past, but nothing that has resulted in me not going back. Until today. We went in this afternoon for the Notary service. My husband and I were meeting my mother there, we were coming from work and she was picking up our son from school and meeting us. All three of us were getting our signatures notarized. My husband and I got there before my mom and started signing everything so she wouldn't have to wait a long time for the process to be finished. She's been diagnosed with a blood cancer and her levels have recently doubled, meaning the cancer is back, so she tries to avoid being in close contact with others due to her compromised immune system. So I wanted to get her in and out. After completing the notary, the guy, who was also helping 2 to 3 other people while also helping us, handed the payment part of the transaction over to another employee. I handed the employee my card, I wasn't told what the total was, at any point during the transaction, not even when he took my card. I had to get this done so I was going to pay whatever the fee was. I was reviewing the documents when I handed him my card. I was sending the docs via FedEx to my mortgage company and was leaving the package with them to send and wanted to make sure the docs were complete. He swiped my card, handed me the slip to sign, I stayed a few more minutes making sure the docs were complete, put them in the FedEx envelope and asked if he would send them out. We exchanged good byes and my mom and I walked outside. I went to her car to get my son's backpack, we hugged and I walked back to my car. We live in Hemet but work in San Diego so we hit the freeway when we left and after about 10 minutes, I fell asleep. I woke up to a message from my mom that said the guy from Postal Annex called and said they charged me the wrong amount and that they weren't going to send my package unless it was paid. Ummm WTF?! First of all, I had no problem paying whatever the fee was. THEIR employee rang me up, no one ever gave me a total. We stood at the counter for at least 5 minutes after he rang us up, then were outside for another 5 minutes or so after that. So it's not like we were trying to dodge paying them, I paid what he charged me. But to basically hold my MORTGAGE loan documents, that are time sensitive, hostage is definitely enough to make me never go back to this location. You don't play with something as important as home loan documents when YOU were the ones that charged me the fee. I didn't tell you how much to charge me, I was never even given a total so I had no idea if I was charged correctly or not. I didn't even look at the credit card slip until after I spoke to my mother. At this point we were already half way home and my mom said she went down and paid it because she wanted to make sure they sent the docs. Now I wish she would have taken the package back from them. I sent it with positive, thankful, hopeful vibes and this dude threw all of that off with his negativity. Maybe approach your customers differently, rather than threatening them, be accommodating since YOU made the mistake. I could have stopped to pay it tomorrow or paid over the phone if you had waited to speak to me. Instead, you stressed my mom out so that she felt she had to go back in right that second. Maybe you should focus on one customer at a time, rather than helping multiple people all at the same time, so YOU don't make mistakes like this. May you have the day you deserve after darkening a positive event, I don't want your negativity or the karma that is yours. Never going here again, for any service. I should have stopped going to him after he argued with me about a Notary I needed done a couple of years ago. I was signing by Power of Attorney for a customer, he had notarized several things for me in the past that were the same type of transaction, but on this day he said that he couldn't do it since I was using Power of Attorney. I had the proof of POA and told him that he's not notarizing anything other than my signature. He's stating that I am the person who signed the form, and he verified that using my driver's license. Instead, he argued with me and said he couldn't do it and it made zero sense to me because he had done notaries for me several times before this, for the exact same situation. I told him that and he got defensive and said that he would never have notarized anything like that. I should have just stopped giving him my business at that point. I don't even know if what he did today was legal, it seems like extortion to me? Holding someone's documents for payment?? Might be worth looking into. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Have been coming to this location for a good 10 years due to the convenience of it being close to home and I told myself I was going to stop one day. Service has always been awful but I could deal with that because they completed the task at hand. Went in there today to have form notarized from the DMV to get my dealers license. I walk in and the gentleman sitting behind the counter do not get up out there seats or say a word until I greet them first. Then I say I need this form notarized the last one you completed for me was not accepted by the DMV because my DBA name was not included. He proceeds to tell me that he can't do that, it's illegal, no one will be able to do that. And when I try to show him my DMV portal with the information left to me from them with specific instructions he walked back to his seat and would not get back up and said "tell the DMV to find you a Notary". Was forced to go 15 minutes away to Copy-It- in La Mesa and the nice gentleman had me on way in about 5 minutes. Will be going there every time. Stop giving this location your money, they are ran by terrible management. I never leave reviews because I run small business and wouldn't want anyone bagging on me so I get it . Im writing this review because I'm so thankful for the gentleman that runs or owns postal annex. I was in there on Saturday sending a package. I had a gift card it was for 100.00, I thought I would be able to use it for my purchase. The gentle said no you can't use gift card. So i laid it on the counter so I could get my cash out to pay. Then the gentlemen sled the pkg. to me to put on the ups cart because UPS was there to pick up. So I slide the pkg. across the counter the gift fell to the floor. When I realize I didn't have the gift card the business was already closed. So I called today (day after labor day) to see if he had It and he did. Total came out to $45. For a small Manila folder? I asked, why so much and he said it's due to it being sent to FPO. Save yourself money and time and go directly to the post office. Additionally, there were two documents that seemed to have been faxed/printed from previous customers lying around the countertop. Poor passport photo quality, not accepted by US Passport Services. At point of sale the merchant said he would give a refund if they were not accepted. He argued with me and denied his claim when I told him the photos were not accepted. He gave me a 50% but not full refund. I will never use this facility again and recommend you find a more professional and reliable resource for your needs. Postal Annex is usually never an issue. Until this one. The father-son team here are some of the rudest people I've ever had the experience to work with as a customer. I've had to use this store for the past few months due to ease of use. Firstly, they hardly wear masks, throughout the pandemic the son will frequently have his mask around his neck. More importantly, they are rude rude rude. I left two fedex packages (prepaid with labels printed at home) with them yesterday at 9am, both that were time sensitive. Neither tracking number had updated in over 24 hours, so I called today at 12pm to ask if fedex has come and they said no, but said that they usually come in the morning but haven't come yet today. I called again at 4pm to ask any update, same answer. This is where things went downhill. I drove there to take my packages back from them and bring directly to fedex. When I got there, I saw one clearly sitting next to a counter. I mentioned that I left two packages with them yesterday but I needed to take them back. The younger/son told me fedex will be there at 5 and comes at 5 everyday. I asked why I was just told something completely different when I called. He asked if I was sure I called them, I said yes. They both acted perplexed. He asked who I spoke to. I turned to the father and said "him!" and asked why he just gave me completely different information. At that point, the older man told me that he did speak to me and what he told me on the phone was correct that they didn't come yet. I said "obviously I know that", and then he told me that I was not allowed to take my packages back. I asked what he means, these are mine and I need them back so I can get them mailed out. He said they were already scanned and at that point they are his property. What? No. After a few more rounds of, "no, man, these are mine, I'm taking them back," he called me an a-hole (in front of other customers, including a child) and said that I'm never welcome back in his store. Fine by me. I asked him where my other package was. And he told me "I don't know. Somewhere around here" and pointed to a pile of boxes and then told me he isn't helping me and if I want it I'd have to find it on my own. It was at this point that I told him I'm not dealing with this and that I'm calling the police, and he said "good" because he would have me arrested and told me to get the "f out" of his store. I called the sheriffs department to come intervene so I can get my stuff back and not continue to be berated by this jerk. Not giving up on finding my property, 10 minutes later I finally found the second package under a bunch of other boxes, took it, and left. I called the sheriffs to request they not come by anymore because I just wanted to leave and the dispatcher agreed that I should just go. I just dropped the packages at an actual fedex store and neither were ever scanned for pickup (postal annex lied). So they were just sitting in his store for 30 hours. Hopefully, you can take away from this: my 1 star review, the heavy amount of other 1 star reviews that document the owners terrible and rude behavior, and the overall 2 star rating - and never come here or give this place and these people your business and/or money. Went to get a paper notarized on March 31, 2021, as I have done in the past. There were two people ahead of me when I walked in. Another gentleman walked in after me. After the older man helped the first two people, he went to the gentleman who came in after me. The man politely told Mehul V. Rawal that I was next. When he was saying this I was motioning and saying that I was next. Long story long. Mehul came over and rudely told me the man had been in the store before me and bought a box and went to his car and that he didn't see me standing there - liar. He had to pass me to get to the gentleman at the far end of the counter. No problem. Told him I was unaware of that as I had seen the gentleman in the parking lot. Instead of leaving things there, he continues to make an issue. He pointed to the signs they have put up in their store that if you want Notary service you have to be patient because they are helping others as well and Notary takes some time. I said, "Okay, no problem," but he doesn't stop making an issue out of it. Then he starts attacking the paper I brought in to be notarized. There was no title on it so Mehul asked me what it was. I told him we could call it a Lien Waiver of Release form. His words to me were, "If you say so, I don't see it," as if I'm lying. I then told him it says it in the document. These are not the ACTIONS OF A NOTARY PUBLIC! He continues being nasty and rude and I do lose some patience, may the CREATOR forgive me. He puts all his notarial information on the document and in his presence I sign it. This is the kicker -- he tells me to print my name below my signature. I tell him the line below ask for my title, which is President. I had printed my name in the space allocated at the top of the Affidavit document. At this point I tell him that I'm a Notary Public and it's not his duty to tell me what I must do with my document. He goes all in then -- "If you are a Notary this document wasn't even ready. It doesn't have this stamp." (CA must have on all documents or attach a separate sheet with the document, Jurat or Affidavit). Now I'm certain this man is unbalanced. THAT'S WHY YOU GO TO NOTARIES!! I can't prepare my own Notarial act you idiot. He was extremely rude once he knew I knew what the real deal was. I told him I would not be bringing my business back to his establishment ever again. He told me he would not serve me and I was to never come back. He just kept talking and talking. I looked to my right to thank the gentleman who graciously allowed me to go before him AND here comes Mehul commenting. I don't even know what he was saying to me. I told him I was not talking to him and to shut the hell up. (This is where I need forgiving.) I was walking out of his establishment and he was still talking instead of giving his customer his undivided attention. Another customer had come in during this scene. I came here a month ago to return a rental dress via UPS. He didn't give me a receipt but I was in a rush so I just took off. I had to do a shipment for work, but the servers were done so I paid for it out of pocket, my manager gave me the business account number to transfer the payment. I contacted FedEx the representative said to go to postal annex where I paid and they can call and get a refund from FedEx since I paid at that store. I went to the store and explained what happened and FedEx said for the store to call them, they will give the store a refund and the store can refund me, the store manager said no and he didn't make that promise! All those BAAAAD Reviews? Believe them! This owner/manager of this location has zero concept of Customer Service or Professionalism. Yes, the products are also WAY overpriced but one expects that from a shipping store that offers them as a convenience. As a small business owner, I used to come here daily as it was very close to our location - but the god-awful service finally got to be too much and now I will GLADLY spend extra time and fuel to go to another shipping store. I wish I could say the bad service was limited to just the owner, but sadly it seems to run in the family - the owner/managers wife and son are also incredibly rude and condescending. I dropped off package and they said I had to pay $.50 for receipt. I didn't bring my wallet since I was just dropping off. So he refused to give me a receipt. I should've asked for the package back but he walked away so fast when I said I didn't have a way to pay. Well my package never made it and since I don't have a receipt there's nothing I can do.
