Beware of super rude lady who works here. I get that it was my bad for misunderstanding the instructions on the email regarding my package failing to be delivered and needing pick up at this location. But why it was necessary to talk to me like a child...actually worse, like I'm an idiot? I work in service, at a CA Community College, and when someone comes in with misinformation or needs clarification, I am thankful because they are the reason I have a job. Just like it is not on our prospective students to know everything about our college, it is not on the UPS customer to understand their delivery procedures without confusion. If I was a weaker human, she would have ruined my whole day. Thankfully, I'm not. read more

It took less than 2 minutes to complete my transaction. I love that it's so quick. They weren't busy at all which contributed to my fast transaction. They clearly have a serious staffing and scheduling problem. Saturday, the busiest time when most working people finally have time to visit the post office, and there's only one employee working the entire shift. The result: an extremely long line stretching outside the building. When I asked today, they confirmed that only one person was scheduled. And from my own experience, I've seen the same issue many weekends in a row. It's poor planning and shows a lack of basic schedule management. If they can put two or more people on shift during weekdays, why can't they do the same on Saturdays, when demand is clearly higher? This location desperately needs better management of staff schedules to serve customers properly. read more

A small, but mighty store, being that it's in a great local location for us, which means it can get pretty busy at times. The owner seems friendly and easy to work with, but one of the other staff members is much less friendly and usually seems a bit disgruntled and curt whenever we come in, kind of a I'm-just-paid-to-be-here attitude. Unfortunately the last couple of times that I've stopped by to return some Amazon packages I didn't have the greatest experience. First, the lady behind the counter is not very welcoming. She makes you feel rushed and not mention almost like we're bothering her by coming in. Second, the returns take so long compared to other locations. The last time I dropped something off to return to Amazon was 2 weeks ago!...since then, I have not received a refund nor has Amazon reported that they received the item. Not sure why it takes so long at this location but sorry, I don't think I'll be back for that reason. read more

It is not about the guidelines, I love rules- it's about the subjective nature in which 2 packages were turned away. When inquiry was made for further details, agent only repeats herself. I've shipped a few things out of this store and they have always been very helpful. A couple of the packing jobs have been tricky, but the woman working there was great helping me with it. I will say that they can get backed up at times because there is usually at the most two people working there and sometimes just one and it just depends on how many people showed up the same time that you did. So if you're counting on just a quick pop in and out it may not always happen. But usually I find it's no more than a minute for two wait. read more

Unfortunately this store gets one star due to one rude person (the long hair lady that lot of people complained already but no change afterwards). Not sure how she gets to keep her job. No greeting, not even pretending to thank customer. Feels like she is doing a favor for taking packages. Perhaps she has high mood swings, but it makes customer feel uneasy. Hope it can improve. This particular store is the worst place to come to return Amazon items. They tried to spend some money there for packaging that Amazon even requires to do so. Not only myself I saw some customers was asked to buy a bag to wrap the item that was already in the box. However other customer in line wasn't. Are they sorting out who can be easily listen to them? They are overly friendly so to avoid their reputation to be down? They don't want to take a large item even though Amazon clearly said no packaging required. One of my neighbors who is an 74 years old elderly and one day I saw she was trying to load a huge box into her car, it won't fit. I heloed her with my suv, she actually got two boxes one very light and one very heavy. We went to this store and got them ship next day, both boxes were at over $600 each. I asked for the reason that is, the owner said she comes every other day and she knows the price. Hmmm.... Later I found out she has sold her house and moving away so she been packing and shipping boxes, there are times she paid $2500 for a few boxes next day, and when I asked her why next day when she doesn't move in three weeks.... Personally I think all business wants to make profit but being greedy will only bring your business to hell, especially when they are taking advantage of elderly. read more

Ever since the new lady came I'd rather drive extra miles than going to this store. I've only been here once, but that was enough for me. I'd pick a different location if you have a choice. It appears to be a family business. When I went in all 3 people working were arguing about something. The place looked pretty chaotic and disorganized. I was the only customer. They didn't even acknowledge me for quite awhile - they were too focused on their own conversation. Finally I was curtly called to the counter, like I was the idiot standing there in line and not just rushing the counter. Whatever. I was doing an Amazon return. I showed my barcode, she scanned it and handed me a receipt without a word. Ok fine. It was then several days before my return showed up in Amazon's system as having been received. I've done plenty of this type of transaction, and usually it's very quick to see the return processed. This was nearly a week. It left me wondering what they had done with the package and not having a lot of confidence in them. read more

MAKE SURE TO READ PACKING INSTRUCTIONS AND PROPERLY TAPE UP YOUR BOXES IF YOU'RE INSTRUCTED TO DO SO. Otherwise, you will have to deal with the wrath of the employee there. I had to drop off a few packages, some of which I fully packed up and taped. There was 1 box I didn't do because I didn't realize the instruction was for me to pack up completely. The employee working there, an older lady, had such an attitude about it and it was a completely unnecessary unpleasant experience. I would be more than happy to tape it up right then and there, no problem. There was a lady before her who brought in a large box not taped up and I think the exchanges between them was contentious. I probably got on the chopping board after and got the brunt of her frustrations. The lady with the open box was nice enough to offer me her tape. It really wasn't a huge deal but it seemed to have really upset the lady working there. I guess after dealing with many customers who comes in with open boxes that they would get irritated but that's just poor customer service. I've been there many other times for drop off and it was smooth sailing which is why my experience overall is a okay. Just remember to bring TAPE just in case folks! read more

Worst service ever! Save your time and money. Called yesterday to ask if they were available to take passport photos the person that answered said not today but come tomorrow after 11am. I drove all the way there and when I arrived they claim they don't take passports photos. Service was horrible and staff was rude! read more

I looked up reviews for the UPS on Meridian and found some good and some bad. It has a 3 Star rating so I decided to go there and see for myself. I gave it 5 stars because their customer service was fast and friendly. I was in and out in no time. The Meridian store was much better than the store on Almaden Expressway. I had something very expensive to return and was concerned about leaving it at that location. I have been there before and was not impressed. I have also seen reviews on the Almaden Exp. location that gave me pause as well. read more

I needed to send an important financial document to a bank. It contained various sorts of sensitive personal information (e.g., social security numbers). I chose the economical shipping with tracking. The bank never received the document. The tracking information said it never left San Jose. I escalated this case, and the best they could do was refund me for the shipping costs. *THEY NEVER FOUND THE PACKAGE* What disappointed me was that the local UPS employees took ZERO responsibility. They told me they just hand off documents to UPS ground, and have no responsibility after that. In this day and age, with so much computerized tracking, I am still shocked that packages can get lost.
