I sent a package through this store and when it was received on the other end, it was an empty box. We filed a claims process and during the course of the investigation by UPS I was repeatedly told by a store employee Anthony on the phone that the entire amount would be credited back to me and that the investigation was complete. Here is is one of the emails that Anthony sent me: -------------------------------------------------- You dont have to worry about doing anything, we take of it for you. If we have any questions or if UPS needs any further info we will contact you. It usually takes about a month for you to be paid by check directly from UPS -Anthony -------------------------------------------------- I didn't hear back from the store for a few weeks so I called back in and worked with Adrian. He told me that they had never received my documentation despite the fact that I gave it to Anthony via email. I also found out that Anthony had been 'fired' for 'problems similar to this' (Adrian's words, not mine). I sent in all my documentation AGAIN and waited another two weeks. Next, I found out that UPS would only reimburse me for $100 even though my loss was over $850. I had an ebay tracking # and paypal transaction to prove the value of the package. The store owner, some guy named Rageev, has not called me back despite several requests/calls from me. I would never send a package through this store without explicitly verifying that insurance is in place. Even with insurance in place, I would personally avoid this store. read more

I have been using them for 2 1/2 years, our mail goes there and packages, Adrian was always great and easy to deal with, they have all new staff and they are great. Anthony was not very nice and in my opinion dishonest. I have given them a second chance and they have been awesome. All the new ladies there, great job!!! After 2 frustrating hours at the post office, where they packed up my bottle of champagne, and was about to ship it out, until the lady suddenly "remembered" the rule that they weren't allowed to ship alcohol, we gave up and went to THE UPS STORE on almaden expy . We had a lady named Brianna working there very sweet lady, I don't think she likes to smile but she was very nice. We were in and out of there in less than 5 minutes and they had a special box to actually ship wine without the tons of packaging stuff we had to buy from the post office. I will be going to THE UPS STORE for all my shipping needs from now on. I will never ever go to the US Postal Service anymore. They should really reevaluate their business plan. I went to UPS rather than the post office to avoid the Christmas rush and was so unhappy with the customer service that I walked out. Mailing to Canada was 1/3 of the price of the equivalent UPS option but the staff on duty didn't know how to fill out the customs forms. He was not near pleasant or helpful and I left vowing not to go back!! read more

Worst store ever. Store closes at 7:00. I arrive at 6:50 to a locked door and employee closing the gate. I just need to drop off a pre label flat envelope so I get her to open the door. "oh I can't give you a receipt because we are closed". After furhter inquiry about the posted 7:00 closing "we have to close at 6:45 to run our numbers" ie "I decide to close early so I can leave at 7". Last time I checked the posted hours for a retail establishment are the hours open to customers. Not the hours of the workers. I've worked retail before. You come in early to open on time and leave after the closing time because you have to close up. And she clearly didn't care at all cause she does it all the time. I'd rather stand in line at the post office than deal with this terrible service. read more

I came in here yesterday looking to ship back some product I received but I needed to pay for the shipping. It weighed soo much so I was looking for different places for the best price, I checked the usps and it was going to be $80! Rachelle was there to help me and she noticed the box I had had a leak from one of the bottles I was sending back and she went and got the box for me, instead of telling me to go and get it myself. We packed it together, she was patient and I got the best price here at less than half the price. Will come back!!! read more

I went with my sister to this store today and I have breathing problems so I wasnt wearing a mask, which Im not required to. My sister was wearing a mask but pulled it down. Even one of the employees wasnt wearing one. He told me i needed a mask and i said I dont have one and he sais "well them do you have any business being here?" I asked so if i have one and i pull it down thats fine? And he just repeated if i had any business being in here. He was sooo disrespectful and i was in there just helping my sister bc she had soo much stuff. He and my sister were got into a tiff and he started totally yelling at us and kicked us out. Ive been going to UPS for YEARS and its my go to place for shipments. Ive never in my life been so disrespected and I will never be going there again. Thanks the that manager for having a horrible attitude from the moment he came out from the back. Rachelle was my customer service representative and I am very lucky that I had her. I had a lot of amazon returns and she was so patient, even when I was speaking on the phone with Amazon due to errors in QR codes. She was also incredible knowledgeable and efficient. She showed me a better way to access my return codes through the Amazon app vs. Amazon emails. She also was efficient in that she was able to multi-task where she was answering my questions and packaging my returns at the same. Lastly she was incredibly personable and friendly, and made the entire return process a walk in the park. read more

Not only is this location jut down the street and around the corner from my place, but the staff here has always been amazing! So friendly and nice when I come in to ship stuff, and more often than not, I don't even have to do anything! As in, they'd scan the codes for my amazing returns or they would recommend to me which box would be best for my package and they do all the taping for me. My first UPS experience in San Jose. This store charged me nearly $73.00 for UPS Ground to send a glass bowl (that weighed .3 lbs) to the East Coast on December 21st. It took that same bowl 9 days to arrive shattered in a million pieces. The UPS store is denying the damage claim stating the item was not "sufficiently packed" because it was packed in shipping paper. They say that their packing guidelines don't consider paper an effective packing material because, due to sheer volume, compared FedEx and USPS they have higher standards. (Never mind that the package arrived to me from FedEx via ground delivery perfectly fine in PAPER...) Their reason to deny this claim is unacceptable. The item was packed well enough for one shipper to the next. This store should be ashamed. I and the original seller will continue to appeal this damage claim denial. Next time I'll just stick with the US Postal Service, like I usually do. I recommend you do the same, or go to another UPS store that will treat you fairly. read more

I'm glad I found this place! The only reason that I did was because I had a stupid AT&T receiver I had to ship back to AT&T. (That's a different story, I should probably Yelp AT&T next!). As soon as I walked in Doug greets me and asks if the box I have is for AT&T return. I'm so glad he knew what to do to get it returned with no cost to me. He was very friendly and quick. I came into this store to buy stamps and get my fingerprinting done. I had a pretty crappy experience where my fingerprinting took like 45 minutes at a rec center, so I took an entire day off work for this! Karina literally was done with my fingerprints in 5 minutes!!!! And i got some cool hot wheels stamps too. The girls at the store were super nice, funny, and professional. Shoutout to Karina again for getting my fingerprinting done, she even double checked my paper work to make sure everything was good to go! read more

I've been a customer here since it was across the parking lot, next to the Rotten Robbie...almost 20 years. The current staff is efficient, and pretty friendly if you know them...never actually remembered their names, but yeah, Danny is a bit more friendly to the uninitiated. Brianna, however, is awesome. I had two strokes a year ago...could barely walk...and she did everything she could to help me...carried my mail and packages out to my car...patiently held the door for me...told me to call and ask for her if there was anything she could do for me...not just once but many times. She's also proactive in telling folks how to save money on packing/shipping stuff. Honestly, her tone is sometimes that of an annoyed person...some of the procedures necessary to ship stuff seem pretty bad, but she has a true heart of gold, and I've seen her totally rock the place out with 15 people in line while she's answering phones, notarizing stuff, tending to deliveries, all without missing a beat and nobody to help her. That girl can multi-task! And that's not saying anything bad about Danny, because he's a genuinely great guy too. Example: I'm a mailbox customer there, and they will often bring my stuff out to me while I'm standing in line. There may be a dozen people in line, but they're professional enough to guess who needs what and, sometimes, have all the paperwork halfway done before you get to the counter. Are they efficient and professional? Yes. Will they go out of their way to help you? Yes. Are they the sort to suck up to you when you're impatient and there are 10 people in line? Honestly, no, but I'd rather have them be competent, which they are in spades. I have NEVER seen them be rude or unkind. I also have never had them lose anything I shipped or make a mistake that they didn't correct. I ding'ed them a star mostly because I hate having to change my address every few years. That might be the postal service and not their fault, though. read more

The worst customer service I've had. Ever. First the attendant complained that I had too many packages to ship and it would take her too long. Then she told me she would charge me $1.00 for a 2 inch piece of scotch tape if I needed to use it. Then, she told me that each of my small packages that weighed .005 of a pound would be $9.00 each to ship. I walked out and did not even give them my service. Will never come back. read more

I have never hated a business as much as I hate this UPS Store. Be warned anyone who goes here, the owner of this UPS franchise location is dishonest, and the employees are massively incompetent. I came to buy a box to ship some books I was selling on Amazon. After picking a box, the two employees behind the desk got confused about which one I wanted, and sold me the wrong box, overcharging me. This wouldn't be a big deal, but when I asked for the value to be returned for me, or for the register to be opened and be given the difference in change, they refused. The employees explained that the owner (who wasn't there) did not allow them to return items or give back change, and would have to write me a check. So I told them to call the owner so that he could give me back the money I was owed. I forced them to call the owner dozens of times over the next half hour, and still no response. I never did get my money back, so I hope that this review will dissuade someone else from getting ripped off or giving them business. Thank God, the other closest location is equal distance from my home, but I would go 30 miles out of my way to never give them business again. I tell this story to everyone I know, and so should you. read more
