I cannot believe my first experience with Ulta as a company and the inability for UPS THE SHIPPER to help. I have never been able to afford Ulta but finally my husband surprised me and helped me do my first big haul. I ordered 22 products totaling $300 dollars. I ordered online and had been eagerly expecting my package. My box was shipped by UPS and delivered by USPS. As soon as we heard the knock on the door, I ran to pick up my package. The box was slightly opened but I assumed it was due to the shipping and handling. I was so excited as I wanted to start my own makeup channel, this was again my first order with Ulta. When I opened the box, I find not my 22 products, but 3 bottles of shampoo and 2 already opened mascaras!! I did not order them at all! NONE of my products were in my box. Underneath the bottles was my packing slip of all the products I was supposed to have received. If I could rate Ulta a negative 100 I would! I then went to UPS to see if they could help me figure out what happened, they said it was not their problem it was USPS's problem since they delivered it. I then went to USPS and they said it was Ulta's problem. I called Ulta and was on hold for 55 minutes when finally I was told that someone would email me within 48 hours. I have been given the run around COMPLETELY! I spent over $300 to finally buy some products I have been dreaming of trying to receive this experience. Not to even mention, this was something to look forward too after losing my job to Covid 19! This was my prize that I had been waiting for. I told the representative that I didn't even want a refund, I just wanted my products. I am completely heart broken with this experience. read more

I came here to get some things notarized and some fingerprints done, but had no idea what to do. I was pretty glad these people were pretty nice to me especially with the crowd in the store. Damn some other customers can be demanding but they were able to multitask and help us all efficiently. The lady helping me was really nice and helped me figuring out all this confusing paperwork. I have been coming to this store for a while now and I really get consistent service and I think they go above and beyond the necessary things to help their customers. read more

I'm surprised by all the negative reviews. It seems to matter when you go here. My wife and I went here on Saturday at about 1:15 p.m. My wife had some framed pictures and other items mailed to a small city in Arizona. The total was $20.78 (it would have been about $3 more at the West A Street location), and the package will arrive on Wednesday. (My wife may have been charged $4.80 for the box.) It's a little cramped in here, but that was to be expected. All the locations that I've been to are small. I was happy when a woman and her two kids left (the boy kept roaming around and getting in my way). The woman came across as a progressive parent (in other words, her kids basically did whatever they wanted). "Now, now, it's not nice to set fires." The door chime got on my damn nerves. It should have been turned off (there were 3 employees here, and no one was in the back). Anyway, there's a large rug by the doors. You have to walk to the front of the rug if you don't want the chime to go off again and again (space was limited because of the other customers, and so it was hard for me not to set it off). A young woman was a PITA (she was desperate for something to arrive, but her mailbox was empty), but the sales associate was patient and kind (she took down the woman's phone number in case the item suddenly arrives). The manager was around. She was friendly and on top of things (I was impressed with her). The sales associates were young (they're probably not that experienced), but they did a pretty good job. The greeting cards stand out. They're unique, and some of them are funny. (I think most of the cards are $3.79.) The selection of office supplies (ex: manila envelopes; single-use super glue; tape) isn't great, but it's solid. I was antsy to leave after a few minutes, but it mainly had to do with it being busy here. The employees, all things considered, worked quickly. My wife received great service. The weekend staff at this location is young and lacks any decent work ethic, let alone good customer service skills. The two girls that were working the day I visited were playing on their personal cell phones and did not even properly measure the package I was mailing, therefore I strongly feel I was overcharged for the shipping costs. Furthermore, my package will not arrive for more than a week than what I was promised. I dropped off 3 packages. 1 amazon return and 2 converse return on Saturday 14 around 4:30 pm. The girl scanned my qr code and printed label. Then scanned my two other boxes that already came with labels. It's been over 7 days and neither of ny packages show that they left the store to their destination. Amazon tracking number shows label printed and no other information and converse labels show items scanned and no other information. I'm starting to believe this stores steals packages from customers. These 3 returns add up to $500 and I cannot get my refunds until they receive the packages. They are shady. read more

Been sending packages from here for years but no more. The current staff are lazy and dishonest. They used to have really good people working here but now the service is bad. Brought in 2 packages and my receipt shows 1 package. So I tell the girl and she says the 1 tracking covers both packages even though the packages have different destinations. I told her it doesn't make sense and she continues to lie. I call UPS corporate and they told me that 2 packages should have 2 tracking numbers represented on the receipt. My question is, why the hell are you going through the trouble of BS'ing a customer instead of simply scanning my package and giving me my damn receipt?!?! And why did the one package that did get scanned have a weight of 0.47 lbs? That box was at least 5 lbs smh. Bottom line, they don't scan your packages and then lie to you about it. I wonder how many packages are "lost" at this location? To the owner, your business is sliding downhill and it has everything to do with your current employees not caring. And your staff should never be holding their phones to their faces while interacting with customers. It's completely unprofessional and possibly contributing to mistakes being made on simple tasks such as scanning a package properly. First, did you notice this UPS store only has a 2-1/2 star rating? The store manager's customer service skills are severely lacking, to put it politely, and the bad attitude is reflected by the staff. I went in to follow up with the manager on a USPS package that I dropped off there that never made it into the USPS system (as per the tracking number). I presented my geo-tagged photographic evidence of having dropped off the package at this UPS store and tried to explain how it never made it into USPS' system. The manager's only solution was to immediately push the blame onto USPS and literally said "this UPS store is perfect." I don't think losing customer's packages is perfect. Meanwhile the chubby female worker just couldn't stop butting into the conversation, despite me asking her to stay out. I will avoid this sketchy store, its rude staff, and its overpriced mail supplies. San Leandrans deserve better - support local businesses that actually care. read more

When I'm not offered the same customer service greet and departure as others in front of me it's very disheartening. I normally am met by the young ladies very nicely. They always greet me and say have a god day. However. Today' encounter was with the older woman that likely is the owner. She wears a lot of gold. She spoke so well mannered to the man in front of me. When I approached no hello even though I said hello. She just scanned my package and handed me the receipt. No have a good day or thank you. I needed answers to a mistake one of the staff made with packing up an Amazon return but she was unable to answer any of them or provide me with an alternative. Buyer Beware! I had to ship a package on a Saturday that needed to get to Pennsylvania by the next Friday. Explaining this to the clerk he quoted me $70 to get my package to it's destination. Even with my surprise he offered no other price option. The package was a dress so it was easily less than a pound and could be packaged quite small. My gut said move on and see if the post office was open. Unfortunately it was closed so I decided to go to the UPS Store in Castro Valley instead and walked out of that UPS Store paying only $32 and that was with purchasing packaging materials. The major discrepensy in price had me baffled. I asked the Castro Valley clerk why there was such a difference and she explained that sometimes some stores don't give all the price options, only the most expensive. I called the San Leandro UPS Store and explained to the clerk that helped me that I was unhappy that there was such a price difference. I explained how much less it was and asked why I was never given that option. He got very defensive and at that point it was not worth continuing the conversation with him. So I asked to speak with the manager to explain the problem here and the clerk started representing himself as the manager. He started to back peddle when I asked for contact information for the district manager or the owner if it was a franchise. I am not sure if this clerk was poorly trained and incapable of providing me with all of the shipping options or if they only give the most expensive price to make sales. I have use the Notary Public Service twice at the Washington Avenue location. NEVER will I go back to that location. I am a cash paying customer and I will NOT be lectured by an employee for any reason. DO your goddamn job. And then add the owner who always seems to be returning from a smoke - and reeks like an ashtray. YUCK! This location however, I was impressed. I do not recommend this store. I paid $140 for a next day delivery that took two days to be delivered. I contacted UPS corporate who said I have to deal with the UPS Store I shipped from. I went to the store and a friendly service rep told me I would get a refund, but it must be done by the manager who would contact me. Since then, for 5 weeks I have attempted to contact the manager who has been out with Covid, out with a broken arm, not coming in today, not coming in until later, gone for the weekend and so on. Each time I was assured she would contact, but no attempts have been made. I think this is a blatant disregard for the legitimate concerns of a paying customer hoping I will just give up and go away. Sarah is very professional and personable. On November 9 she helped me print a game ticket I purchased online. Since usually I am able to just scan my phone I was stun to see I had to print. I called the ticket agency but they were not helpful. Well since I do not have a printer at home I first decided to just buy another ticket at the stadium. On my way to Bayfair BART I decided instead to stop at The USP Store. Sarah was very helpful and was able to wait on me and successfully serve several other satisfied customers at the same time. read more

Wow. One star for customer service. As far as efficiency, I was in and out of there in about 10 minutes or less. However, reviews of a business hinge upon good customer service. Short brunette was clearly not happy to be there. Perhaps she was having a bad day, but when I'm having a bad day, I tend to be extra nice to people. Sometimes putting a smile on your face and checking your problems out the door is what you just have to do! Ehh, but maybe she's just a not-so-happy person. She took my prints for a live scan, and she made me feel like I was a bother. I almost feel uncomfortable like I should apologize or something. She rushed me out of there and clearly was frustrated. I prefer this UPS Store to the one in Castro Valley (Lucky's Shopping Center) and Hayward (Foothill) because: 1) The parking situation is better 2) They are open a bit later which means I can do stuff after work 3) They are faster Went in the other day to mail 5 letters certified USPS, Priority our Passport Renewals, and mail back a return...I was out of there in like 15 minutes. My name is Liz - August 1, 2020 - clerk had a problem faxing my documents i know it doesn't take long to get a confirmation however she went on to help another patron. In essence i had to wait on the person that was behind me in line. Another clerk came over to assist me meanwhile i asked can i just scan an email so we did. I get a message from the person i sent it to that she wasn't able to get all documents i call the store asked to speak to the manager an she refused to get on the phone only relying messages to her employee. Where is the professionalism an Rashmi is suppose to be the owner. And the cost i loss $16 to have it scanned again. I advised everyone to go to another store there is no common courtesy what ever happen to "the customer is always sometimes right". Without customers there would be no business. read more

This review is for the manager at this particular location I needed my copy of my fingerprinting application in order to get clearance to work for the school and I wasn't given it by my employer so I went over to this location and ask if I could possibly get the copy of my fingerprint application it was over two months but she went into the database computer looked up my information and had the copy ready for me the reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the after getting the application and checking my clearance I noticed by speaking to one of the representatives at the fingerprinting bureau that the number was typed incorrectly so this is just a heads up to the employees there if you can just make sure and double check that you're typing in the correct number because it delayed my fingerprinting process for over 2 months but I do appreciate the work of the manager Rashmi. read more

Today is three days before Christmas... it's the last day to mail gifts and make sure my family gets them on time. I was at work, and had two gifts to mail on my lunch break. I went to the Fairmont Drive UPS store to do just that - mail two Christmas gifts before my break was over. Both gifts were packaged in cardboard boxes and taped up with clear packing tape. They were sturdy and secure. One was a small Christmas-themed box and the other was a thick Nike shoebox. Both were taped up exactly the way UPS likes them taped. No duct tape, no masking tape. Neither gift was fragile. The clerk told me I couldn't ship my boxes the way they were. I had to use the official UPS shipping boxes. The clerk said my boxes would get crushed in shipping. I told her that I have shipped shoe boxes with UPS before, but the clerk refused to take my gifts unless I bought UPS boxes. Now I have used UPS for a long time. I am familiar with what UPS will accept for shipment. I know that a shoe-box is fine as long as it is taped securely with clear packing tape. Shoeboxes are just as firm and sturdy as the official "UPS box." But I couldn't ship the shoebox at this location. I had to purchase $12 worth of official UPS shipping boxes. So basically, I had to either fork over the extra money or go to Castro Valley, and my lunch break was nearly over. So fine. I paid the extra money. What else am I going to do? NOTE**** I saw a stack of UPS boxes behind the counter for other suckers like me, who didn't have an "official UPS box". I'm sure the manager made a little extra cash on the scam. Worst customer service EVER!! The girl who helped had no idea what she was doing. She was not able to handle the task of faxing papers. I felt sorry for the poor girl who was working with her. Because she kept having to do all the work for her. After spending over an hour there Alejandra I think was her name (at least that's the name on the receipt) finally got free and assisted me. Thank god for her she was super nice but unfortunately her coworker was rude never put her cellphone down and even asked her coworker if some b**** followed her on Snapchat. She complained approximately every 7 minutes about how she didn't want to be there almost in front of every customer. What a shame. Worst attitude EVER. I RARELY COMPLAIN after one visit to a location but the staff at this UPS store is so completely unprofessional everyone needs to be forewarned. One of the staff members was using profanity while talking to another clerk and acting as though it was an imposition to do her job. From the moment I got to the counter her constitution was foul. I certainly hope she doesn't work in the store regularly for everyone else's sake. Aside from her poor demeanor her attire was entirely too skimpy for work attire. I went into this UPS store trying to track down a package and the 3 ladies that were working were BEYOND HELPFUL! I had walked over 2 miles to get there, it was the 2nd location I'd tried, my phone was dead, and I was still at the wrong location. They loaned me a phone charger and helped me look up the location of my package, which was at a UPS pickup point (different than a UPS store unbeknownst to me), found the address AND phone number for me on their computer and printed it out so I'd have a copy. This is by far the best UPS Store I've been to. Maybe it's a time of day thing, I've only gone early afternoon M-F but the gal there is friendly and competent. My only complaint is there's usually a couple of UPS trucks in the parking lot blaring music with words I don't necessarily want the kids to hear, but I'm knocking them only one star since it's UPS corporate's fault and not whoever runs this particular store. Keep in mind this review is relative to other similar stores - UPS does have outrageous rates if you don't have an account with them, and if you go to a place like this versus the hub you're basically trading convenience for cash so it's a double whammy. read more

I am certain they wanted to get out and enjoy their weekend; however, please stay open until your advertised close time. I came here a few days ago to make a few copies since Staples shut down.. there wasn't a lot of foot traffic but once I walked in it got busy.. and this was the first time using the copy machine there and I kept asking the gal working (sorry didn't catch your name) questions and help.. and while she was busy with a customer she still didn't get frustrated with me.. I've worked with copy machines for 2+ years, many many years ago you would think I remembered how to work one.. but once the gal was finished checking the customer out she continued to help me.. and I'm glad I finished up quickly so she can have lunch! I would not recommend going to this location. I guess hours of operation stating 9:00am does not really mean 9:00am since its 9:10am and the store is still closed with no staff in sight. I called another location and they said each is individually owned so I can't speak to any sort of regional manager. If that's the case, we all run late or have a bad day, so the calls should get forwarded somewhere/to someone to say "we apologize, we will open at 9:15, 9:30" whatever time. Or better yet, the opener should start at 8:30am to avoid this altogether and open at 9:00. I'm going to the Washington st. location now since they answered the phone at 9:00am. read more
