Okay, UPS stores usually provides good customer service however this is the total opposite. Upon entering, the lady that helped me seemed like she didn't even wanna help me or that I'm bothering her???? She was not doing anything at all, just standing there when I walked in. I had to return a book and she said that they charge $1 for it to be taped??? Like are you serious?? Last time I came in they didn't charge me and they took care of it and I was out of the store less than five minutes.. So then I didn't have my card and went back to get it only for her to tell me that "there's a $5 minimum using your card" At that point I was like are you serious?!?? And she said "you can buy any tape and charge it in your card" and ok I bought a tape for $3.99 and she accepted it below $5 minimum?? I totally don't understand? Why can't she charge me $1 for taping it instead of me buying a $3.99 tape when they're both under $5? That did not make sense to me. Anyways, this is not the first time where I had problems with this UPS store and I learned my lesson to not go to this branch. I usually go out of my way to write "positive" commendation feedback and rarely give negative feedback but I feel that the customer service at this UPS store is so poor that constructive feedback is necessary for this store to provide better service. My last visit to this store, I went into the store and was the only person waiting in line for assistance. One customer was being helped at the register to the right. The register to the left was open and in operation. There was one store associate who was not occupied and was just standing against the counter. I waited patiently in line to wait for him to call me forward. The experienced associate (he has helped me in other occasions) looked straight at me and continued to stand against the back counter - ignoring me. He finally seemed to get uncomfortable for ignoring me and walked into the back of the store, behind the wall but where I could still see him. He stood in place, not doing anything and not talking to anyone and not appearing to be looking for anyone. Just refusing to help customers. After a few minutes, he returned to the front counter and still took his time to ask if he could help me. All I needed to do was drop off an already boxed and labeled package for return. All that was needed was for him to scan the label and print a receipt. Bang...done. For that, I had to wait 10-15 minutes with no one else in the store waiting to be served. I believe in people being paid a living wage and more, for a job well done. There is a lesson in providing good customer service and taking pride in doing a job well done, no matter what the job entails, in order to be recognized for promotions or to be success in life. read more

This is my first review ever and I feel is very warranted. Not to complain about the store but about Gloria specifically at the store who I just completed a transaction regarding notary services. From the moment my wife and I walked in to the store and the entire time she helped us she made no effort to being courteous nor display any semblance of customer service m. I even had to ask for her name since she went right to business and even asked her first how she was doing too! She never looked up and simply said "I'm fine". I guess she didn't feel any need to ask me how I was doing because we all know getting signatures requires the attention much like that of brain surgery. Even after I paid there was no thank you or have a great day. Gloria was absolutely rude and obnoxious and has no business dealing with human beings. I went to this store because of the 2 good reviews from before, that the customer service was excellent. Well, not in my case. Not only was customer service bad there, she was also rude. she made me wait despite the fact that there's no one there. I wish I would've read the yelp reviews first before shipping my package here. At around 1:30pm on 6/14 I went in to get my fathers day package sent, they offered to custom pack it themselves and I went ahead with it because I was in a hurry. The person helping me was Jordan, his customer service wasn't that great to begin with. He said that I would be getting an emailed confirmation with the tracking number once they ship it. He even went as far as confirming my email address and reading it back to me. The day passes and it's now nighttime and I realize, I didn't get an email with the tracking confirmation as promised. I begin to think the worst because I literally just handed my merchandise over to someone to ship for me and thinking back on the customer service, I began to not feel confident that Jason would follow through with his job. For all I know, he could've just tossed my stuff somewhere and forgot about it. Because again, his customer service wasn't that great. I call the next day on 6/15 around 4:30pm. A guy answers, I'm assuming it was Jordan, because it sounded like the same person that helped me the previous day. I let him know I didn't receive my emailed tracking confirmation and he proceeds to put me on hold for 20 minutes. TWENTY MINUTES I was on hold, no one got back on the phone to say, we are busy right now, please continue to hold, nothing. I finally hang up and called back. A lady answers and I let her know that I haven't received my emailed tracking confirmation. She helped me within 10 minutes and apologized for the person not emailing my information. It's fantastic that she provided better customer service than Jordan but since this was my first and only experience here, I will not ever be coming back. This place is in the business of providing a service to customers and handling their packages, if a customer doesn't feel confident that they left a package with them and that it's in good hands, and will reach it's final destination, then what's the point of going here? I should have just gone to a different UPS store or went to Fed-Ex where their customer service is never hit or miss. I always thought the more happy customers you have the more business you will get. Either train the employees better or shut down the entire business, clearly customer service is not a priority at this location. read more

I went in here to send some rather large pine cones back home to Canada as I knew they wouldn't survive the flight The clerk was very helpful I checked prices& decided to check@USPS after as they rate was rather high Although I did not send them this way I did have them package them for me They were just pinecones for children as well as some sea shells The clerk packed them as well as they'd package an expensive item&even custom made the boxes to fit They made it home no problem not a crack or any breakage at all Yes it was a bit$$ to package($20 each) I found the price very reasonable because of the amount of work involved&the care she took in packaging these items Even though they knew I'd be shipping thru USPS read more

This was my first time ever having to ship a package so I was of course completely lost. You would think that the workers would be willing to reassure their customers by answering all your questions, but clearly quality customer service does not matter to them at this location. I was "helped" by FATIMA today on April 18 around 3:45-4pm she seemed like she did not even want to be there and she was utterly rude!! She handed me a paper to sign and of course before I sign anything it makes sense to ask questions to clarify things right? And thats what I did. Her answers were so vague and every time I asked her to repeat you could sense her rolling her eyes and mindlessly staring at you with that "You have got to be kidding me". Honestly, Fatima when you read this I just want you to know that girl just because you're having a bad day or hate your job or even both, that you should not be treating PAYING CUSTOMERS with that horrible attitude. I will never visit your store again. We came in to get something notarized by Tianna Kelani Montes and she refused to complete the Illegible Notary Declaration which is required by the El Dorado County Recorder's office. She said 'she learned in class that she is not allowed to put her notary stamp on any other paper but the notary acknowledgement...'. This additional form did not even require her stamp, only confirming her name, etc. Not to mention that she was completely snotty and rude about it. She wasn't pleasant at all! Because she did not fill it out, we had to go to another notary (who knew what they were doing) and have it re-notarized. The other notary had no problem whatsoever! Sounds like this Tianna JUST got her notary license - where on the internet? Thanks for making us pay for something we couldn't use! I'd like my $10 bucks back! Honestly, the only reason why I come here is because it's only a couple minutes away from my house. However the customer service sucks here, because you can't really expect a hello or any help without an attitude. I don't remember the lady's name, but I asked her if I could get a photo copy of my ID. After she made a copy, she walked away super quick and left my ID in the machine. Since she walked away really quickly, I wasn't even able to say thank you. There wasn't even a line, so i'm a little confused. I have a mailbox there for business purposes and just went to pick up the package. I signed for it electronically and then was handed the USPS priority mail package. Looks like someone broke into the box and took the product that was in it. I had the package there for a number of months because I didn't know it was even there. What am I paying for here? I call to speak to the manager and are told he is out of town and they don't know when he will be back. What kind of business is this! I just re-upped my mailbox today before all this! I AM CANCELLING!!!! Do not trust the people here or at a minimum they should have noticed when receiving the package from USPS that it was tampered. The end was broken open. WTF!!! read more

Surprised at all the complaining reviews on here. I have always had a great experience with the folks that work here, especially Maria. I had to forward my Union City house mail to a box I rented here, and then move half way across the country. My nephew would periodically pick up my mail for me here, and my management of my box was necessarily by phone. They were always bend-over-backwards helpful--to both my nephew and me. read more
