I give them one star because there is no minus stars. I go to this UPS because is close to home and thanks God I only go two or three times a year. With the pandemic problem I went early last year and the young person that took care of me had a very nice attitude and was very helpful but in previous occasions the oldest of the women that worked there took care of me and she was rude, nasty, dismissive, sarcastic I could go on adding bad adjectives to this woman's behavior but it would never be enough. It was early and I was the only client for something simple and again she came to me with all of her mighty nastiness, rude answers and dismissive attitude and on top of everything she overcharged me. I am writing about the Rossmoor UPS Store in Walnut Creek! Amy and her team are superb! I have used them to print my flyers and she has taught me how to submit them so that they are perfect. She can do last minute orders as quickly as possible and the whole team is professional, friendly and warm. The older people working in this store deserve at least 4 stars. However the young men I encountered don't have any manners. No smile and no please or thank-you. To quote Jordan: "that will be $15" and on handing over the receipt "there you go". The other young man Jeffrey who was a notary was even worse. Again I quote me "Is there a notary here?" I was mailing a package and in order to verify my information and the address of the recipient the owner announced addresses and phone numbers so all could hear in line. Customer service at this location is terrible. I had to pick up a package from here, and the gentleman who was helping me was rude from the get-go (look and tone), with no reason. The lady who came in later didn't make things better, make the customer feel like they aren't wanted there. Maybe the overall staff isn't like that, but that was my experience. I came in to ship out a couple packages for work since UPS pick up services asked for a pickup fee. When I handed off the packages, I just asked questions my boss had insisted I ask to make sure we didn't lose our important packages on its way to its destination. The owner, Wade, was super rude. I don't know what his issue was with my question about a possibility of having a reference number for these packages. A simple "no" or something along those lines would have sufficed. Personally, I don't think it's a stupid or even rude question to ask about important information they could share concerning our packages. I would rather drive hours out than 5 minutes to this man's business again. He seriously needs to learn a thing or two about appropriate customer service, especially as a store owner. read more

This kid slapped the label on the side of the package so I tried to pat it down when he started screaming at me to hurry up because he wanted to go home even though their was someone else in there. I felt kinda sorry for the "boss." He was clearly frustrated and cranky due to the line of customers and he had another employee that didn't quite seem to know what she was doing so he had to try to help her at the same time he was helping the people in his line. All I wanted to do was drop off a prepaid label package but there was no indication (that I could see) of where to drop it. I didn't want to wait in line for that so I butt in and asked and got a very curt reply. Like I say, I felt sorry for the guy. UPS Stores should have better trained help (and more of it) and a clearly marked location for customers just dropping off an already paid and labeled package, like the real USP locations do. read more

Not surprised to see the low scores! I went there today with my service animal and was treated horribly by Wade who claims to be the owner. I was told by the women working there that my dog was not allowed and to leave. I told her he is a service animal and I was not leaving. Wade said he did not want the dog urinating on his carpet. I explained that he is well trained. He then made some nasty remarks and yelled at me to hurry up (I needed a greeting card) and to get done quickly. He also yelled that my dog needed a vest. I said that is incorrect and he said he knows the dog needs a vest. Service animals do not need vests. I was angry and told him about my disability and that he violated my rights. I left without sending my package. I am reporting him to the Dept of Justice for violating the ADA laws. How rude. read more

Today I got a call around 5 p.m. (rushing to get my order after a meeting). The store had just found my order and printed only one copy. I appreciated that they stopped when they noticed a typo, but if the order had been done when it was supposed to be (earlier in the day) it wouldn't have come down to the wire. Next, the person didn't know how many prints I wanted, despite me making it clear in my order, and having made this same order for over a year now. I was told if I could email them the edited version they could make copies for me immediately. As I was driving, and nowhere near a computer to open my files, I told them there was no way I could do so, besides the fact that they were 15 past closing. I was told to email and they'd have the order ready Monday, which is not helpful when my prints are due Sunday. Ended up having to cancel my order and not sure what to do now. The last time I went, I had gotten confirmation for my order and the person at the desk refused to acknowledge the shop did print orders. He told me to drive to another location, despite me insisted that 1) I had ordered prints there before and 2) I had a confirmation. I pointed out the envelope with my order and he reluctantly got it down for me. He made a mumbled "ok whatever" comment when he passed it to me. I'm really bummed this location has gotten so unreliable. I wonder if a change in management has happened in the last six months because I'd had fine luck before. #TLDR: Service had gotten worse in last few months, resulting in me 1) almost not getting my order and now 2) not getting a different order. My mom died in California, and I needed to ship lots of her belongings to my home on the east coast. There were many breakable things: porcelain, pictures frames, glass candlesticks, a large ceramic lamp, and vases. Amy and her team took these things that I had placed in boxes every which way, packed them perfectly, and shipped them for us. Honestly it was such a big job, and my sister and I had our five kids with us - we couldn't wait while it was packed. Yes! Yes! Yes! Five stars are only befitting a place like this. I had a little binder to send out. I needed it boxed up for protection because I had to get it back to the customer. My local UPS store does a very good job and a recent venture into a Pleasanton UPS Store left me seething. This place definitely met my expectations. I was just waiting to see their way of taking care of my package and it was on par with my standards. They also put the tracking number on your receipt twice! I told the woman helping me about the place in Pleasanton that didn't and insisted on emailing it to me even though I didn't want to give my email. She told me that a lot of UPS stores are charging for next day even though if you get it in by a certain time it will be delivered next day anyway. Then not indicating it on the receipt and sending it under the guise of next day. You pay for next day yet you wouldn't have had to pay for it. So keep an eye out for that. I told how much I really appreciated her efficiency and then I notice that her name tag said owner. I told her that if I am ever in the area I will always come back here. I must write another review of the Tice Valley, Walnut Creek, UPS Store. A week or so ago I had a very bad experience there with a young man employee. He was extremely rude, stone faced. Expressionless. I was left wondering how this young man has a job working with the public? Now the rest of the story: A couple of days ago I had another package to ship and against my better judgement I went back to this store. The same employee was there. He didn't wait on me this time but as he was working he was using the "F" word. This was right in the middle of the store with customers in waiting in line. Shameful disgrace to UPS. I recently had an experience at this location with the manager, Amy, whom I have observed in the past to be rude and abusive to her staff. On Saturday after getting a couple of items prepared to ship with one of her employees, I simply asked her when the anticipated delivery date would be, and she dismissively said she didnt know. When I asked her why she didnt know she became rude and abusive to me (the customer) and said "because they aren't the post office" (with no explanation other than that). When I told her not to be rude and that I wouldnt use her location again she said "Whatever!". So I wont use their services again and am posting this for others to be aware of her at this location. I shipped out a UPS overnight package and it was never delivered. Contacted the store they told me to contact UPS. I called and was on hold for 43 minutes then was told that the shipper had to start the lost package trace. I called the store back and then was told that yes they would have to start the trace. I call the next day and was told a trace was started and I would get a callback, No callback for 2 days. I called the store and now I was told it could take up to 8 days to find out what happened to my package. Every time I call I get a different story. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have been frequenting this UPS store because it is close to my home. However, the service does not compare at all to other UPS stores I have patronized. [Note that the store is not open on Sundays,unlike two other UPS stores nearby.] The store charges $1 for a receipt. Other UPS stores do not do so. Most importantly, the staff is just not very friendly, bordering on rude. Whenever I enter the store, no one acknowledges my presence. Ever. Last week, I stood at the counter while the agent was looking at the computer screen; no one else was in the store. She did not look up or say hello. [She never does.] After a few minutes of silence, I asked if she saw me there standing there. All it takes is "Hi,I'll be right with you." Yesterday, another agent ignored me while I was standing at the counter. After a few minutes of silence, I asked, "do you work here?" He said, "that's why I have a UPS logo on my shirt." [I guess I'm supposed to peruse the attire when I enter the store.] Today, I had to call on another matter; the agent was yelling, and would not stop long enough to hear my question or comment. I had to hold the phone away from my ear. Luckily, there are other UPS stores nearby in Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill; it is worth the short drive to spare the grief. How can this business stay open with such a rude, acerbic owner as the woman I had notarize some documents for me. I thought I was dealing with a Marine drill sergeant. When I told her what we needed she barked "give me your IDs and documents. I need to read all documents before I can do anything." As she was reviewing the documents she keeps her head down while she puts her palm open with no comment. I asked what do you need? She barked again in a loud voice "IDs". If I didn't need to have the documents signed right then because of a time constraint I would have asked her How can you stay in business with such a rude, shitty attitude. I frequently email documents to be printed, and or faxed. Not a problem! They have a great selection of greeting cards, general stationery supplies, and mailing options. I've always gotten great service and a high level of professional knowledge from everyone. I do see some really bad reviews. Let me say I've been in the store with some of these people and they are not aware of how entitled and rude they are. I know who the people are too. Everyone talks about Amy this Amy that. Amy does a great job with some really impossible clients. People come in and throw their Amazon packages at the employees like they are playing football. Be advised that now that this UPS is the return drop-off for Amazon, they are piled up with people asking questions about these Amazon related packages which the store gets nothing from. I certainly use Amazon and use this store as a drop off place. I've seen people throw fits over prices. Well when a price is too high I walk on over to the post office. The notary service is very well done. I go in there with a good attitude and I get a good attitude back. I find that when I treat people well I usually get the same kind of treatment. There are times when young people work there. I've never had a problem but to the people who complain about them, remember you were young once too and maybe you had the fortunate upbringing of learning the skills of being super friendly and polite. Maybe some younger people need work in this area but to blast this UPS store for the normal things that happen in life just gets me. Also we have to look at the person who reviews...some people complain about every review. If one isn't happy with the service it works well to right then and there ask for the manager or write them a note. Things like this can usually be worked out between customers and staff instead of reaming the store. I've seen people walk in front of a line of six people and walk to the front of the line with no regard for all of the other people waiting. I really think we need to give this store a break. They work for many people at Rossmoor and we need them! Complain about them enough, make things miserable and you might not have a UPS store around anymore. I am disabled so driving around really isn't possible for me. People here review and I guess I am reviewing some of the reviewers...I've only had really good service here. Remember that this store has so much more work for all the people who are just dropping off packages for Amazon for which this store gets nothing. I get when people comment on services but I see reviews here where I think some people are more nasty here than I'll ever see at any UPS store. Thank you to this store who has now become a free Amazon drop off service with people throwing packages at them, people pushing their way to the front of the line, and being just rude to employees because they seem to believe that UPS workers and anyone who has to work for a living are just below them. Treat Amy with respect and that she may be swamped and I think you'll find that Amy is a decent person who is doing her best under difficult situations (noise from construction, not enough employees and more). This UPS store responded promptly and helpfully to my special request over the phone, and they efficiently prepared my suitcase for shipment when I brought it in. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Do not waste your time with this UPS shop unless you want to deliberately ruin your day. I walked in yesterday to mail a package back to Amazon with return postage already on it. There were a number of customers filling out the standard UPS shipping forms, so I decided to go ahead and fill one out just in case they wanted it. I did not want to hold up the line during Christmas season, so I filled out a form just in case. The poor man at the counter in front of me was being worked over by a female clerk who was treating him with complete disrespect. He patiently asked about the bar code on the box and whether or not that would interfere with shipping, and the clerk practically reprimanded him for asking. It is important to black out bar codes on boxes, and he was asking a reasonable question, but was treated as though he were wasting the clerk's time. Then, it was my turn...I handed my box to her, as well as the UPS slip. She acted completely disgusted and asked me what the form was for since the shipping label provided by Amazon was prepaid. I said that I wasn't sure that they would ask for it, so I filled one out anyway. Again, she acted like she was disgusted and put my box onto the floor behind the counter. I said, "Well, I guess I won't need this then," and folded the form in half. A clerk at the register next to us extended his hand and told me to give him the shipping form. I asked why he wanted it since the clerk I'd been working with made it pretty clear that it wasn't needed, and he insisted that I give it to him. I tore it in half and started to hand it to him, and he threw what I can only describe as a hissy fit. I couldn't believe the behavior of these two clerks! He rolled his eyes, and said that he could have reused the form for another customer! In a world of rampant ID theft, it would be not only unwise, but reckless to hand off a form with my phone number and address and allow it to be used by another customer. Every customer is given a copy of the form usually stapled to the receipt for tracking purposes. I wasn't about to hand over my personal information so that they could reuse the form. I do a lot of online ordering, and I have never been treated or seen others treated the way that the clerks at the UPS Store at Rossmoor treat their customers. Awful, awful, awful. I've been coming here for years. I've never had an issue and the employees have always been friendly. Until now. I am very disappointed with a couple of the young employees at this UPS Store. Unfriendly stone faced and absolutely zero clue how to treat a customer positively. I'm a retired manager and if I were theirs I'd read them the riot act. Write them up and if they didn't clean up their attitude I'd be forced to fire them. Because of them, I won't be trading at this store again.
