Photos take a while to come back (1-3 weeks depending on busy season) but the wait is worth it!!! He's always a text away if you need anything and ever so patient with taking photos with my cat which was a feat in and of itself. He is very familiar with the OC area and parts of the neighboring counties in case you don't have an ideal location for a photoshoot then just ask because he has a huge roster! Oh dang two words, GREAT PHOTOS! James has done multiple photoshoots for me in the past and for the campus club I am part of like Epic Movement and my grad shots! He charges very cheap and he knows what he is doing and he also is very good at seeing what lighting to take photos in. I have taken a lot of my photos in harsh lighting because I always get completely unlucky but James makes sure he angles my photos correctly to not make the harsh lighting affect my photos! Every photoshoot he does for me, I always come out satisfied and I normally leave pretty quick. The rates that he gives honestly are very fair and he is willing to do just a bit more if you ask him nicely to do it. Overall, I totally recommend him to take your grad shoots, birthday, engagement and/or wedding and family photos! OK, let's get this straight right away...I never met James before our party and I had no idea such a good person and great photographer was in our midst here in Orange County. Now that we have that out of the way, here's my review of his services. My son was celebrating a toddler birthday on a Sunday and the venue, food, extras and decorations were all set. Early Saturday I get notified that the photographer I hired was unable to honor his commitment to photograph the party. What? Who cancels the day before? I'm sure that very bad/greedy/[insert other words here] person had the chance to take a wedding or something and left my family high and dry. I put out an SOS on Yelp and James quickly responded. I checked his portfolio and it looked great...checked his reviews and those were pretty terrific. I gave him a time and date (as in tomorrow at Noon) and he gave me a very fair price. Whew! I just hope this dude is good! James showed up to the party early and was super friendly. We gave him a tall order of shoot the entire party and capture guests as they arrive. I'm not sure if he went to Ninja school or not, but this guy was appearing everywhere and capturing great pics of our guests and their kids. He was super awesome, super polite, super good and just plain super! He stayed for a longer period than he contracted for to make sure he captured everything. I was having trouble finding a photographer for our annual law school ball/banquet so I turned to yelp. I contacted numerous photographers and James was by far the one that stood out. He was professional, quick to respond and willing to work within our budget. Our event was at the Avenue of the Arts Hotel in Costa Mesa and we had around 150 guests. We spent a lot of time planning the details of the event and I wanted to make sure that they were captured. He showed up early to take extra photos of the ballroom, table setting and all other details prior to guests arriving.
