Before my appointment, the front desk called to tell me the therapist wanted a minimum of $45 tip on a $93 massage -- 50% of the service, requested over the phone, in advance. I've always tipped generously ($30 typically), but being called and told what to tip before service is even rendered is not how gratuity works. When I objected, I was told "other people don't react the way you do, they're happy to just tip more," and that the therapist has "regulars" who tip him over $50, so he's "used to" it -- basically telling me to fall in line with other clients' payments. She also pointed to posted "suggested tip" signs in their massage rooms (also over 50% of service cost) as proof they'd "been telling me" to tip more all along! When I said I wouldn't be booking, she cut me off mid-sentence with a dismissive "yeah, yeah" and hung up while I was still talking. No attempt to keep a years-long customer -- just hung up. If you go here: tipping isn't treated as optional. It's expected, posted, compared against other clients, and phoned in as a demand if you don't fall in line. Don't expect the business to care if you push back.

The chair I was assigned was broken and wouldn't recline properly, making it difficult to comfortably use the foot bath. The cleanliness also left a lot to be desired. There was visible dust and debris in the chair, and it ended up getting on my shirt and shorts. As for the massage itself, it barely felt like a massage. I was assigned to the woman with the bob haircut, and the entire session consisted mostly of lotion being rubbed on my feet and shins with very light pressure. There was very little technique, attention to sore areas, or actual foot massage work. At $40, I expected a clean environment, functioning equipment, and a relaxing massage. Unfortunately, this was one of the weakest foot massages I've ever received. Between the late start, broken chair, lack of cleanliness, and poor-quality massage, I left feeling like I wasted my money. I would not return and cannot recommend this place based on my experience.
