I had initially decided to come to citizen vine after several great visits to citizen vine Lincoln. I have been to the Folsom location once and overall had a good experience. When I approached Folsom I was greeted by Shannan, there were 3-4 seats in their covid seating. My husband and I sat in middle section of Shannans seating. After discovering it was cold and we wanted to move to a location closer to the heater, we advised Shannan this. Shannan handed us our menu and said "I will meet you wherever you decide to sit" knowing there were only one more seat in the establishment. We sat down and Shannon eventually came to us, we had a party of four. Two of us ordered a bottle of wine which is not unusual, shannan took half our tables order and walked off. The remaining of our table spoke up and advised they were not drinking the wine and desired to order additional beverage. During this time it was very cold during the day, we had also asked Shannan to turn the heater on - as did the table to the right of us. As both tables were cold the table next to us stated "we asked her too and she had an attitude" Shannan brought our food out untimely and I was still hungry. I proceeded to ordered a cheese board, Shannan then scoffed enough for our table of four to hear. I responded with "are we not allowed to order a cheese board?" After my table of four decided to talk me down, I then decided to cancel our cheese board after shannans rude response. I walked into the restaurant and decided I no longer wanted the cheese board. I spoke to the cook and said I no longer wanted the cheese board. Shannan then walked around the corner and said "ugh, If they haven't already made it" I responded with "if you weren't so rude I would have kept the cheese board" Shannan decided to argue with me across the bar (with customers watching) and said she did not initially scoff and she was clueless to what I was talking about. I advised her the table next to me also mentioned to us she "had attitude" after asking for the heat lamp on. At the same time a bystander table inside said "she's overwhelmed," I stated, "I understand she's overwhelmed but you don't need to be rude to your customers" I walked out. Shortly after Shannan walked to our table and stated "I'm sorry if I offended you, I had nine orders and they were not in order" I thanked for Shannan for her apology. Shannan then scurried off. I will not visit this citizen vine and will encourage my friends to do the same. Twelve bridges is closer to my house and I will continue to honor an establishment that appreciates their customers. Shannan is a terrible representation to this establishment and I will not be returning. Shannan can benefit from additional hospitality training, she is a poor representation of the citizen vine family. read more

We enjoyed a nice afternoon glass of wine, we were in search of a device to open a bottle of wine with, Matthew grabbed his backpack and pulled out a wine jack and passed it across the bar like he was loaning it to an old friend, that's the kind of service you want, somebody that'll give you whatever you ask for with a smile and a glass of wine. He is obviously knowledgeable of his craft, sharing and fun. How can you not like someone that doesn't take life too seriously? Bravo Matthew we will return. read more

Had a great experience here last night. The food was spot on (try the pork tacos!) and the wine was great. The staff and owner are also very friendly and the ambiance inside is just as a casual wine bar should be. This place is perfect! Great vibe, delicious food, super friendly staff. Both times I've been here we ordered the 4 course tapas and wine. The tacos are amazing, the goat cheese crostini and flatbread---everything is delicious. It was so nice to enjoy live music there on Saturday! My husband and I have been to the wine bar a few times now and absolutely love it. It's a perfect dinner/date night spot. The food is amazing and the wine selection is awesome. We have yet to try something that has been less than delicious. We have tried other spots similar to this and nothing compares to the food or wine selection. Decided to go to this this wine bar because of the reviews on Yelp and it was amazing!! A cozy little wine bar with great ambience, 5 star service, killer tapas and a great wine selection!!! This place has the worst service. We we're looking forward to an evening out and were so excited to try this place. Not only was the service bad but after a half hour of them telling us the cook would be in they decide to tell us that they will only be serving half their menu. Will not be returning any time soon. We actually had to ask for the check twice because they wouldn't give it to us. Don't go here. read more

We read the reviews on yelp prior to going and were excited to go and check it out. We get there and we were greeted and told to sit wherever we'd like, so we decided to take a seat at the bar. We were greeted again and our drink orders were taken. We were told our drinks would be right up so we patiently waited looking over the food menu. I slowly started noticing that others were being served their drinks before us, some of them almost immediately after they placed their drink orders. Bartender comes up to us again and asks what we would like for dinner and we place our order, however drinks still hadn't been brought to us. My girlfriend ordered one of the flights, and I finally see that they are pouring one, however they take it to someone else who had come in long after we had been there. We politely told the bartender to cancel our food order and that he had completely forgotten about our drink order. He did apologize, however our experience was ruined and our excitement killed. read more

Even before I walked through the doors of this place, I received a friendly greeting outside as they were just opening for the day. I was the only person in the place and was immediately made to feel comfortable. The ambiance felt like a big warm hug, even in a fairly dark and at the time empty establishment. I chatted with the bartender Mathew while I waited for my friends to arrive and he was fantastic! Friendly, knowledgeable, and proud of everything they offer. My friends soon arrived and the exceptional hospitality continued. And the food was AMAZING! The meatballs, the ahi crisps, the mac n cheese, the sliders, the flatbread, the tacos, the cheese plate...superb. We couldn't stop ordering! This is a Veteran owned establishment that truly upholds their values in every way. Thank you Citizen Vine for a truly amazing experience. And thank you for your service and dedication. Just opened this week. Very cool decor. No tv's, which we loved. Great wine menu (not cheap, but great). Didn't try the food, but the menu looked good. The manager was very friendly and knowledgeable. He even let us taste a few wines free of charge. Great place to start a date. This place has potential! read more
