I'd give this place 3.5 stars, but I'm rounding up to 4 since it's really the best option in the area. The store has a ton of variety, from gifts for friends, kitchen gadgets, and bathroom items to toys and pet supplies. It's perfect for those hard-to-shop-for people in your life. The items here are definitely unique, so you're likely to find something special!! Prices are a bit on the higher side, but that's to be expected since it's in a touristy area. Some of the items you can find elsewhere, but you probably won't see a lot of them where you live unless you're ordering online. I spent a good 40 minutes just browsing and imagining how I'd use everything in my place. It was fun using my imagination! It's definitely worth checking out when you're in Julian, especially if you're looking for something one-of-a-kind!

Funnest shopping place in Julian. The warm hearth has everything you would ever need for that hard-to-find-gifts-for person. - Good music playing. - Home decor. - lots of gourmet sauces and hot sauces. - Make sure you visit downstairs. - A lot of cool gifts for kids. Replica guns and axes for the boys and a bunch of fairy garden stuff for the girls.

A natural born shopper? Like to spend $$? Then you must come here. More to look at than you can imagine. $200 was spent in an instant and that's not including 3 areas I didn't browse through. I'm hoping to make a return visit today on our way back from Idyllwild to La Jolla. You'd be surprised how far back and below the shop extends. Itinerary for today? Revisit and have another slice of Julian's famous apple pie. That would definitely make me a happy person.

The store is huge with tons of gift items like candles, lotions, ear rings, cookbooks, which my wifey needs, and a lot more. The prices are fair seeing how this is for tourists. They also have a section down stairs in the back with more items to buy. When I'm in Julian, I always stop by here. Oh, in the winter, they have these old fireplaces, which help keep the store warm.

Anything and everything. Huge and tons of merchandise. Way too much, gets exhausting, especially when you are a group of 5 ladies who love to browse and shop and are undecided of what they want. I went this past Saturday after a decade not visiting Julian. I did not remember the store having 2 levels and being that big. We found enough souvenirs for my friends to bring back to Chile and Colombia (they were visiting from there), so mission accomplished. However the traffic of people up and down made the shopping experience a bit stressful. Go with plenty of time as there is lots to see.

One of my favorite stores in Julian. I try to come out here during the Christmas season. So many pretty things rustic to choose from. Christmas adds an additional flavor to the town of Julian. Everyone is so friendly here. The locals suggest to come out here during the week. The weekends are crazy crowded. Therefore streets and stores were definitely not crowded at all on a Tuesday.

Tons of unique gift items. Here you could spend probably at least an hour in the store combing through all sorts of things here. Never disappointed always a story. Make sure to stop into when we're visiting the town.

The Warm Hearth is an incredible store. Every time when I go to Julian for my annual visit in December, I find some amazing things. I love finding Christmas decor. I have purchased so much stuff over the years, I feel like a third of my Christmas decorations are from here. They have resin and wooden figurines, pillows, wall decor, ornaments, etc. They offer really unique and unusual items great for gifts like funny socks with sayings on them. I got my cousin who is a baker by profession a funny oven mitt with the saying "dropping a new recipe on your a$$." Also, they have a wonderful selection of hand made quality jewelry. The size of the place is deceiving from the outside. It is huge! The are numerous rooms and a large back area. If you are a baker or a cook, there is one room dedicated to the kitchen. They carry lots of specialty cookie cutters, tools, cookbooks, fancy measuring cups, bowls, containers, etc. There is another room with decor that changes depending on the season / upcoming holiday. Make sure that you go to the back. They have an incredible back area with more awesome finds. They carry lots of items to decorate the outside of your home - fountains, metal decorations, wooden decorative stakes, clocks. There are no associates walking around asking if you need help but you can always go to the front registers and ask for assistance. If there is a line, which there usually is, just wait a couple of minutes and someone will step out to help you. I usually spend about 45 minutes in the store to look and every nook and cranny. Incredible spot! Definitely check it out if you are in Julian.

We found these thick felt elf slippers for my 6 year old and they will be perfect for the holidays!!

The best store in Julian hands down. This place is a treasure. So many special finds. And they do such an extraordinary job on the ambiance!!! Especially in the back warehouse room. Nothing here is junky. It's all a wonderful, thoughtful assortment of vintage inspired, unique, handmade, fairyland, cottage core, holiday magic wonder!

Karen was my projecg manager, handled everything seamlessly. He communicated with me every step, kept me updated and make sure the entire process was smooth. The quality of the work and labor was outstanding. The deck(trex) and the pavers walkway came out beatiful and exceeded my expectations. It is clear this team takes real pride in what they do. Definitely worth the money, and i highly recommend this compamy.

Review Update (2026)…read more I am updating my original 5-star review from a few years ago. At the time, we were very happy with our kitchen remodel and the overall experience working with Creative Design & Build. The project turned out beautifully, which is why I originally left such a positive review. Over the years, however, I noticed that one section of the flooring felt slightly soft when walking on it. At first, it did not seem serious, so we continued to live with it. Recently, the problem became worse and a section of the floor began to noticeably sink when stepped on and eventually a few edges of the flooring broke. At that point, I became concerned that it could become a safety issue. Because we still had plenty of spare flooring boards left over from the project, I attempted to replace the affected board myself. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the new board to fit correctly due to the locking system, and I could not restore the original board either. I then contacted Creative Design & Build for assistance. One reason I reached out was because our original project manager, Oded, had told us that if we ever had any issues, we should contact the company. I left a voicemail and later received a return call from a staff member. After I explained the situation, she said she would check with management and get back to me. A few days later, I received a text message stating that the warranty had expired and that no repairs would be covered. This was disappointing because I had never been informed that there was a four-year warranty period, nor was I able to find any reference to such a limitation in our contract. When I asked for details regarding the warranty and whether they could recommend someone to repair the issue, I did not receive any further response. There were two other issues relating to electrical and plumbing, however we decided to live with that until we had a major problem we needed fixing. I still appreciate the work that was done on our remodel years ago, and our kitchen remains a space we enjoy. However, I have been disappointed by the lack of follow-up and support when a problem arose. My advice to future customers is to make sure all warranty terms, coverage details, and expiration dates are clearly documented and understood before signing a contract.

I showed John a picture of one he did before, told him I liked redwood, and he was off to the races. When I had a problem with a window in my kitchen, John was on the scene and took care of it before I could even get to my house to worry about it. I had a very disappointing experience with Shugarman's Bath Company…read more I first met their representatives at a local festival, where they advertised that they would provide a completely free bathroom design if I agreed to a home consultation and listened to their sales presentation. I specifically explained that I was interested in a full bathroom remodel, not just a shower replacement. Based on those representations, I agreed to schedule an appointment. When the salesperson arrived at my home, I was surprised to learn that the company only focuses on showers and does not provide complete bathroom remodels or custom bathroom designs as I had been led to believe. Despite realizing early in the appointment that their services did not match what I was looking for, I still sat through the sales presentation because I understood the salesperson was giving up his time to be there. The presentation lasted approximately an hour and a half. At the end, I was given a very expensive proposal, but no picture of how the shower would look like. When I followed up and requested to receive a picture of how the of the shower would look like as I was promised, I was told that they do not provide designs and that I should simply look at photos on their website (this statement came directly from Mr. Jones who was the lead design team. This was completely different from what was presented to me when I agreed to the appointment. I felt the advertising was misleading and that the primary goal was simply to get a salesperson into my home rather than provide the service that had been promised. I was also told that I could receive a discount if I left a positive review, which made me question the authenticity of some of the company's online reviews. Additionally, I was offered what was presented as a "free vacation" if I agreed to move forward with their proposal. However, as the details were explained, it became apparent that this was not truly a free vacation but rather a promotional offer tied to a timeshare-style presentation. This felt like another example of marketing that was not fully transparent upfront. Throughout the appointment, I felt significant pressure to decide on the spot. The overall experience reminded me of a high-pressure car dealership sales environment, where the focus seemed to be on getting a signed contract rather than understanding my needs and providing the services that had originally been promised. I believe companies should be transparent about the services they offer and should honor the commitments made to potential customers. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
