This place is a life saver! Strained my lower back and the lady who saw me yesterday was able to find the reason and really addressed it.

Massage was excellent and signing up for appointment was easy. I believe my masseur was Jenny? She was great.

Her pressure was perfect, I upgraded to some hot stones and they were the perfect temperature. The only thing that I think could have been improved upon was one side of my back got more attention than the other, but for all I know it's because that side felt like it needed more work - so I'm not going to dock points for something like that when the whole service was exactly what I wanted out of a massage. Next time I think I'll spring for a longer one though - 60 minutes wasn't quite enough, I wasn't ready to go back to the real world! Thank you to Allee Massage for fixing my last visit and letting me give it a second chance. I'll definitely be back (and referring my friends as well) now that I know just to avoid whoever the heck I had last time lol

The staff are professional and consistently excellent - I haven't had a bad massage here yet. My wife and I like to get couples massages here once a month and they have a number of rooms that can be combined to enable it, so it's easy to schedule. Pricing is good considering the Bay Area and you can get a membership that lowers the prices further. Parking is tricky around dinner time as the parking lot is shared with some restaurants and a local dive bar, but during the day it's very easy.

I called ahead to make an appointment for a 60 minute massage, but when I arrived, the only person available to do my massage was the receptionist. Kim did a good job on the massage (excellent pressure and very relaxing), but she had to run out a couple of times to address her front desk duties. I was happy with the massage, so I tipped 20%, which came out to be less than $20 (this is worth mentioning for what happens at my next appointment), then was on my way. I should also mention that on my way out, a man next to me at the counter who seemed to be a staff member but very well could have been a customer was clearly staring at me but not talking to me--creepy! 2nd experience (today): 1 star. I made an appointment for a 60 minute deep tissue massage. I arrived a bit early. No one was at the front desk, so I waited until 5 minutes before my appointment time to ring the bell. A different receptionist help me get set up and into my room. My therapist, Amanda, started my massage 10 minutes late, but to her credit, she made up the time so that I got my full 60 minutes. Although the pressure was fine (I needed the strong pressure for my knots and sore muscles), she was a bit rough and sloppy with the massage. For example, she would grab my skin so that it felt like I was being pinched (I discovered a bruise from this when I got home), and she yanked my underwear around a lot (she could have done this with more care). As a result, I only wanted to tip the minimum 15%, but after she counted how much I gave her in front of me(!!), she pulled out a sign that the business requires a minimum of a $20 tip for 60-minute massage because she couldn't express herself in English and got her coworker to explain that tipping at a massage parlor is different than tipping at a restaurant as the therapists work very hard. There are so many things wrong with this. My initial complaint is that they should be more transparent with their pricing by posting this sign up with their prices, but guess what? That's illegal, which is why they showed me a sign after the fact. Also, asking for a tip makes it not a tip. Finally, I would sure love to hear what restaurant servers have to say about her response because I guess servers don't work as hard as massage therapists? In all seriousness, if businesses need to provide a better wage for their workers, increase the massage price; tips need to be earned! Tips were traditionally meant To Insure Proper Service, but I definitely did not receive proper service. Try at your own risk, but the quality of your massage is hit or miss and I wouldn't want to support the business practices and customer service that I experienced.

We had better massages at other places, though. We were asked about the pressure to use. Mine was fine already, and my husband had to ask his masseuse to adjust the pressure a couple of times. That being said, as a general rule if you don't want any snarky comments or get shit on, don't tip less than a $20 for an hour or less than $25-30 for 90 minutes and even then $25 is pushing it, or you'll get attitude. I've been tipping a solid $20 for several years now, even back when people thought $10 was cool. Today we did a 90 and my wife didn't have cash so I gave her a $20 and we definitely received some snark. (My wife's therapist grabs the $20, looks at it for a few seconds, then in an incredulous voice looks at me and goes "how long your massage, 90?" The English wasn't perfect but I got the message, loud and clear) I managed to find another $5 and got a snarky "thanks" with some stank in the voice. I get it. Inflation is up, the economy is down, and it ain't 2018 anymore. I'm actually in agreement these ladies need to be tipped well for the job they do. But today's snark made it awkward and weird af. We enjoyed coming here for years because the massage has been consistently good, no question. But the attitude today has made it too weird to continue coming here, frankly it was a little annoying and embarrassing. I wish them well and definitely come here if you want solid bodywork done, but expect some snark if you forget your cash (guess I could have Venmoed). We have been coming here for several years and literally just moved to the area really close to this location, but we won't be coming back here for massage.

I had already planned to leave a tip, but when it wasn't what they considered their "minimum," I was questioned about it and even laughed at. That alone was unprofessional, but it didn't stop there. The front desk staff then pulled out a tip sign that was hidden behind another sign--something that should have been clearly visible from the start if it's truly their policy. On top of that, I was charged more on my card than what I was told. Fifteen percent does not equal twenty percent, and that kind of discrepancy is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the towels used during the service had a noticeable mildew smell, especially the one placed on my face, which completely took away from what should have been a relaxing experience. Overall, between the lack of transparency, pressure around tipping, being overcharged, and poor hygiene standards, this was not a professional or comfortable environment. I would not recommend this place.

The massage itself was not good. There was no consultation beforehand -- no questions about pressure, problem areas, or preferences. It felt generic and impersonal. Most of the time was spent working over a towel using elbows and forearms, which made it feel ineffective and not worth the cost. What bothered me the most was the gratuity expectation. A 25% tip was clearly pushed as the standard, regardless of the quality of service. I felt pressured to tip generously even though the experience didn't justify it. Tipping should reflect service, not be demanded. Overall, I left feeling dissatisfied and overcharged. I would not return.

I was quite pleased with my experience here. While it is a little 'rustic' inside (just bamboo screens for privacy in the open area), I had a nice 30 minute foot/30 minute body massage in the public area $45 cash. They raised the credit card fee to $2 for cards. Don't be shy ladies! If you get a male massuse, wear a bra that opens in the back, and they might ask you to remove your shirt so they can have access to your back area. This wasn't a problem. My male massuse had firm pressure to get knots out and was very through and did a slow, job (not rushed or sloppy). I liked this place more as they use oils and not a salt scrub for my feet and legs and then you are rinsed off with hot towel. Its a busy Korean strip mall so parking is a bit tight. I tipped $20 because this man did a good job; don't skimp on the tips please! These folks aren't paid that well hourly and rely on the tips to supplement their income. Bring CASH for the tip so they can take it home and they have sign that says $15-20 MINIMUM tip for 1 hour of work: thats reasonable. total out the door: $65....a bargain massage done well.
