This place was great! Was busy around 11 am on a Friday but only waited for 10 minutes, plenty of seating and a cute breakfast place. We started with the bacon and dipped in syrup was incredible. The waffle comes with the most amazing butter and is a must. The hash was good, but there were too many dried cherries for me personally anf the brussels sprouts were not fully cooked-would not get again. I also got the eggs easy and they were probably not safe to eat, you could still see the clear part. The server was Natalie and she was very nice! read more

We were sat very quick, checked in online ( but when we got there around 9 AM they said their online check in wasn't working) It took about 10 minutes to have our waitress come to our table. We order two appetizers, the billion dollar bacon (THICK cut) and loaded breakfast tots, my husband liked the bacon, it was too fatty and chewy for me, the tots were not our favorite, they tasted too much like old flour and left a film in your mouth. For the main meal, my husband ordered the eggs Benedict and I got the breakfast wet burrito, both were okay, but to be honest the appetizers killed our appetite so we didn't get to fully enjoy. It took a while to get the bill, overall it took about two hours from start to finish. For the bill to be $78, I'd rather had gone somewhere else. read more

Food is fine. Hostesses are a different story. We were seated and then asked to move because some old guy threw a fit and said they reserved the booth she sat us in so we had to move. Ruined the entire meal with how that was handled. read more

I put my name on their wait list and it said 2 hours. I was then contacted and said they are moving through quicker. When I got there they told me another hour and a half! After 3 hours we left with 6 groups ahead of us. That is insane I understand being busy but you should have an accurate time scale. read more

Probably my least favorite Anna's House, unfortunately. The server didn't use the tablet to put our order in as we were telling her, she just did it by memory, and I'm guessing this is why the order was put in wrong. Not a big deal, but I would recommend making it part of training to always have the tablet while actively taking the order. Food was okay, eggs were overcooked but those can be tricky. Didn't realize that sitting at the bar still needs a check-in with the hostess. Hostess appeared quickly to advise there wasn't a wait-list BUT this was the beginning of a OFF experience. I have been to this location for in dining and have not had a bad experience, but today for carry out was the complete opposite. I ordered a menu item which I had last time I dined in and the portion sizes were completely different not only did they forget the avocado on top, but I paid extra for a extra egg and the portion size was extremely underwhelming. I have been to Anna's house in GR and Kalamazoo. As it's a chain, I had no hesitations to go in Okemos. It was incredibly disappointing. The eggs Benedict was the worst I've ever had. This hollandaise sauce was awful. My latte was steamed milk with no espresso. The cinnamon roll was like a dinner roll with cinnamon and frosting. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Was in town visiting family and took a red eye so we're hungry and looked for a place to grub. I had never been here before so the photos and higher rating jumped out at me. Got to restaurant and it's really cute inside! Decorated like 1950's. It was 8:30am and we were seated immediately though it did look pretty full inside. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The menu is quite big and lots of options for vegetarians, vegans and the healthier side of breakfast (yay)! My hub and I ended up sharing a meal because we heard from family the portions were big and they were. Both things we ordered were quite big and tasty. Anna's House in Okemos, MI is a family favorite. It's a place I enjoy alone, with friends, family and especially my grandchildren. I love the latte's, traditionalist breakfast, vegan options to name a few. There's a few servers that have been here during periods of time I've visited and it's remarkable to greet them as if we 'know' one another. 10/10! read more

Went for breakfast on 4/13. Used "join waitlist" feature prior to arriving and it showed 13 - 28 minute wait. Wait ended up being over an hour. Meanwhile, people are walking in without having joined waitlist yet got seated sooner. I asked how does that happen? Girl at host stand said "yeah, the waitlist really isn't accurate and walk-ins don't show on there." What??? Shouldnt thr walk-ins just be added to wait list/queue? Guess not. The girl at host stand seem overwhelmed but also didn't seem like she wanted to be there. I get it, not a fun job but no sense of urgency while also having to answer phone, cleaning tables, etc. The past times I have been here it looks like they have nobody to specifically bus tables. Aside from that, line out the door and two separate tables that could seat 4 people only had one person seated at each of them meanwhile there were 5-6 open seats at the counter. I have been to plenty of places that say "sorry, these tables are for parties of two or more. I think most would understand that. While food and portion size is good, you really need to get waitlist system worked out, it is horrible! read more

Such an adorable and bright space! Highly recommend getting "in line" online to avoid lengthy wait times but they seem to turn over tables pretty quickly. We opted for this place due to their reputation of having gluten free options. We were not disappointed as the GF offerings were extensive! I selected the GF pancake combo (not pictured as I inhaled the food prior to remembering) and the pancakes were huge, fluffy yet dense, with the perfect crispy edges! The combo came with two eggs and two meats, then we added a side of American fries to split. The American fries could have used a bit more seasoning so I added hot sauce and they were fine. Will definitely be back to try more of their gf breakfast menu and am looking forward to it! read more
