I stayed here while visiting the area for my birthday. Overall, it was a great stay. We had everything we needed, felt safe, and were close to all the places we wanted to go. My only complains are that it could have used some extra dusting. I couldn't stop sneezing while there and then noticed some items, like lamps, were quite dusty. Additionally, the AC was leaking on the floor and could've been dangerous. Luckily, we caught it before slipping. Finally, the bedroom door and bathroom door are against one another, which was extremely annoying and loud when they hit one another. Linens and the bathroom were very clean. Despite those 3 issues, I enjoyed staying here and I'd likely recommend.

I highly recommend staying at The Weekend! This hotel is quiet, clean, and a walkable distance from downtown. Although the hotel itself is on the smaller side, there is still a rather large pool located right in the center. The pool was clean and had towels. Mark, who I think was the manager of the hotel, was the best! He was kind and upgraded our room for our anniversary. Our room itself was huge and came with a large patio, kitchen, fridge, ice machine, coffee machine, dining table, bar cart, and spacious bedroom/bathroom. Definitely stay here!

Memorial Day Weekend, I enjoyed a fantastic stay at The Weekend Hotel. Mark and Stanley were very communicative and accommodating leading up to and throughout the duration of our stay. Checkin and checkout service was seem less. The property is well maintained and manicured and the overall cleanliness was superb. I would definitely return for another stay!

By the TV a bar cart awaits with real glassware.

You'll want to spend more than a weekend here! After a terrible experience the night before at a competing hotel, Ava, came in clutch for me and I immediately regretted not booking here sooner ‍ Saturday morning after checking out from a nearby hotel, and with no place to stay for the night, I turned to trusty Yelp and came across this boutique hotel. I called and explained my situation to, Ava and told her I needed a place ASAP! Ava mentioned that they had just one room available for the weekend but was being turned over as we spoke. 15-minutes later I received my confirmation text with check-in details and arrived to the true definition of a boutique hotel. Through the bright orange door the courtyard pool awaits. Entering your room (I stayed in room 1) you'll notice a very clean, modern and mid-century furnished room with what I swear smelled like a fresh citrus fragrance pumping through the vents - a nice change from the dump I had just come from. Long story short because I'm almost at my destination (writing from the backseat of my Uber) I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place that's clean and in close proximity to all the great shops and restaurants, but still feels like a distance away.

My whole time was spent out here. I didn't leave the hotel.

I will try to keep this simple and let the essence of the few words I use, along with the photos I share convey my feelings about The Weekend. It was everything I needed. 38 years young, single mother - sometimes just need to break away. I want to feel cozy and safe and transported from the stresses of parenting and adulting and I also don't want to feel awkward being the "single one". Mark, thank you... thank you for creating such an absolute free-feeling, welcoming, and well thought out space for us peoples to find respite. I danced, I dreamed, I soaked up the sun (in the nude) because you created a space where I felt most at ease to do so. BLESS YOU! p.s. the roads right outside the hotel were perfect for my beginner skateboarding skills Enjoy, all!

The lovely back patio!!!

So I went to Cozumel for my Birthday then the next day I came here. I was so amazed because it was everything that I saw online. The Weekend was very very nice and I loved it so much. Check out my pictures you'll enjoy them. This is not a party spot so keep that in mind. This place is for grown folks who want to chill and not worry about their neighbors playing music all night. Well I'm not going to give a play by play but if you're looking for a low key chill spot this is it!!

Lovely little boutique hotel on a quiet side street. It felt like home immediately after we arrived, which was nice because we'd had a long day of driving. We enjoyed relaxing in our clean and spacious suite and an evening swim in the pool. The decor is fresh and clean and brings the vintage vibes you want while in Palm Springs. I would definitely come here again next time we're in town.

Wow! Super trendy place to stay! No kids!! Peaceful and relaxing. I only wish I could have taken a small sitting float in the pool, very uncomfortable to just stand to get sun. But I do understand if the establishment is full, the pool is on the smaller size. Also wish the water would have been a-little cooler on a day that hit 115 the water was like bath water. But all in all I would recommend very relaxing and safe visit.

I took a dip in all the pools from one to the next; I love mineral pools. Something about this mineral water feels like magic. Time just froze. It was as if my whole life led up to this moment. Nevertheless, sky gazing is allowed and in fact encouraged to watch the clouds drift. Birds chirping was music to my ears. The plants were oxygenating and the landscape was therapeutic. From the moment we arrived, though, La Serena Villas made us feel completely at ease. The customer service was truly impeccable from check-in to check-out. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant to work with. When we arrived, we were immediately offered a prickly pear champagne beverage. After I mentioned that I'm allergic to alcohol, the staff instantly offered me a lavender lemonade instead without missing a beat. I'm usually not a fan of lavender-flavored drinks at all, but this one was so surprisingly delicious that when I checked out, I actually asked if they sold it. They don't, unfortunately, but they were kind enough to offer me another glass as a parting gift, which was such a thoughtful touch and perfectly captured the level of care and hospitality throughout our stay. The villas themselves were amazing. Everything was pristine, beautifully maintained, and spotless. The overall vibe of the property was quiet, peaceful, and deeply relaxing, which made it feel like a true escape. I genuinely enjoyed every moment I was there and am already looking forward to booking my next stay. La Serena Villas delivered an experience that felt both luxurious and personal, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, restful getaway.

The property is small but quite nice. Pool is kinda crammed in there, with fewer chairs than guests should the hotel be sold out, and it's right in front of the restaurant, putting your swimsuit ass on display for anyone looking to dine. But there is a spa past the "guests only" sign, away from the pool, so that's at least an option. Rooms are spacious and beautiful. Reminded me of a casita. Shower is huge and has great pressure. Pocket doors all around, nice. Hot tub in back is killer and having a fire pit next to it makes the backyard lounging even more inviting on a crisp night. Free breakfast is full of solid choices. Not-free food and drinks are good but, holy hell, is it overpriced. I hate that we're at a place where drinks are $20 on average for alcohol that hasn't been getting more expensive. I just drink less so good for me, I suppose? I got a surf & turf for $55 and it was flank steak and about 15% of it was fat. It came with three shrimp. Sad. Excellent service. Everyone was polite, accommodating, pleasant. No complaints there at all.

I know because this family's-third stay at a Ritz Carlton for the month of July-- Ritz Rancho Mirage is truly the best one we've ever stayed in California! Ritz Rancho Mirage property really needs to share its expertise and guidance with the less impressive, failing Ritz Half Moon Bay. That property is just Awful. SERIOUSLY help that horrid property out. Here at Ritz Rancho Mirage from the moment we arrived, we were greeted by all the wonderful valet men at the driveway. Bright happy smiles. Checking in was a breeze, with smiles, excellent customer service, and a super quick process. As we walked through the hallway towards the elevators, we were greeted by several staff members who said hello to us. Every employee we encountered at the property seemed to enjoy their job. It was such a wonderful day to see the Ritz Carlton stuffies for kids, three different options. Our kids chose the ram. Our family is known for collecting all the Ritz Carlton memorabilia and visiting all the properties around the world. So for this property to have three stuffies was a surprise The sweet, friendly young woman at the front desk showed them all the options, they could choose from. Our Family really loved our room. We again booked two connecting rooms. A double bedroom comes with a couch and is very spacious. The king bed also came with a little couch. The first floor had a very unique vibe that we all liked. The decoration of the Crystal lights was very cool. The bathrooms were all looking like they had a complete renovation. Big huge bathtubs for our little toddler to swim in his bubble bath in. Housekeeping staff I give them a 10! Phenomenal job all you amazing ladies and gents working in housekeeping. All of them were friendly, checked on us, offered more towels. Our room was serviced EVERY time we came back to the room, clean, spotless. Not like the disgusting Ritz Half Moon bay. The housekeeping crew here all were on top of their duties with great smiles and attitudes. We happily will be bringing more cash for them next time. Very hard workers. I appreciated all of you guys in housekeeping. The family pool was amazing! It was not overcrowded and it was clean, all the music playing was completely perfect for families. They keep the area very clean and the staff was always checking in on us to see like to order anything else or needed anything. The service at the Pool side is five star! The view from the property is spectacular! My family really was surprised at night that there was a star watch around the pool. We were able to see through the huge telescopes two distant stars. What a great treat. We all did enjoy the shops there at the resort. They had a great attire for the entire family. Dad found a wonderful shirt and our toddler found the cutest swim shorts. We don't like to do so far. This one is the best Ritz in terms of on site shopping. Overall, our family had a five star one experience at this property. So wonderful that I am very sure we will be booking more visits through the year.I cannot tell you enough how nice, accommodating and friendly staff is here at the property. If you have fur babies go ahead and bring them along ..this property is dog friendly! Our two Frenchies really enjoyed their time here.. being spoiled by the staff. They give water bowls and dog treats. There are many dogs in the property during our visit. Each of them were also happy to be able to socialize with their families as we could tell. General hotel layout was nice, felt vintage and was a refreshing twist. Room layout was interesting, tv was placed in front of the couch so you can't watch tv in bed. When first entering our room: 1. Bathtub was paint was chipped and the faucet was leaking as well. 3. The kitchen utensils were not clean. Forks, glasses and even the roll of paper towels were found dirty or used. The extra rolls under the sink were unwrapped. When coming to our room a few hours after check in, calling customer service (calling three times) took more than an hour, just for us to be told that the lighting and cleanliness issues will be solved in the morning. Was really looking forward to the experience but upon our first few hours, we felt unwelcome, uncomfortable and turned off of our whole stay. Especially when faced with the lack of cleanliness in the restroom, if our bathtub could be so apparently dirty, what else could they have missed? We were forced to spend the first few hours fixing up our room before starting to feel comfortable. This meant scrubbing the bathtub, washing every dish and checking every surface. With the lengthy and detailed check in process, we were really expecting a quality, travel worthy experience. Instead, it felt we were greeted with an unclean, uncomfortable welcome. As guests, it was made obvious to us that customer service was not at the forefront of our experience. Having decentralized customer service (through phone numbers and apps) made us feel so unattached from the actual experience.

I was a little scared when I read that most of the recent reviews were negative. I was thinking "oh no! What did I get us into." This place is a blast from the past. The decor is that of a mid century modern and is a really cozy quadrangle set up. The interior feels homey and the property is set up like an air bnb with shared amenities. They play 1950s music all day on speakers throughout the complex, it creates that vintage feel but can get repetitive after a few days. Lounge with tables, board games, travel brochures, couches, fire place, coffee and tea, and industrial kitchen for use during your stay. (Old reviews mention happy hour, breakfast, snacks, etc. these are no longer offered but why not just bring your own?) Each room has microwave and mini fridge. Outdoor gas fire pit for use. The pool is small but has a deep end 8ft which is nice. There are pool noodles and some tubes to use. The hot tub is spacious and powerful jets. We stayed in the Hawaiian surf room, loved the theme it was so cute and felt like a tropical getaway. The shower is small but functional. Good AC unit with a remote control and ceiling fan. Surfboard coffee table and wicker love seat add to the tropical feel. Overall this was a nice private getaway. You can be left alone to relax! If you need anything you can text the hotel and someone replies super quick in my experience. The hotel feels very secure with codes needed to enter the complex and security cameras at the entrance and surrounding the complex. (Probably for management to check and make sure everything is running smoothly). I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I have stayed at a few different boutique hotels in the area. This would be a top choice! Please realize this is an older complex and it does show some wear and tear but come on the building is probably 100 years old or somewhere close to that. If you are expecting a sterile, high end, resort feel for your stay this is not your place... but otherwise this is a great choice! I couldn't help but feel bad for the owners with all of the really bad reviews on here because that was truly not my experience. I left off one star because there are definitely areas of improvement that could be made but not enough to ruin my experience.
