I've been coming here for years... Ever since they've opened I've been a customer. Management has changed since they originally opened but the food has been consistently good. They have a big menu offering many dishes and they offer lots of meats too like asada, chicken, pastor, lengua, etc. I like their soft tacos here, as well as their taquitos, wet burritos, tortas and soups. I really like their pastor meat here. Very flavorful. The service is always awesome. They are very nice here and give great service, whether you're dining in or taking out. The carne asada is marinated to perfection and cooked until it melts in your mouth. Ordered Chile Verde plate with what they called chicken tortilla soup. It was all extremely bland. The soup was just chicken and watered down broth. The pork could've also use some more cooking. No flavor at all. Tasted just like salt water and it was all watery too. read more

This has been one of the spots that we've been ordering from during Covid. They are super nice, when everything started shutting down, we made a family choice to help support local mom and pop restaurants in our area. I knew of this place from visiting in person and ordering party trays for family events. The last family event was for my grandma's funeral. They were very kind and had the order ready for us to pick up for the reception. It truly is a golden rule, treat customers nice and they will have your back. I love their food and even though my son doesn't like Mexican food they still do like a piece of chicken with fries for him. I crave their meatball soup whenever I am feeling sick and sometimes just order that and a taco to go. Food will fill you up and never had an issue with our order. read more

My visit was today. 8/15/17. I ordered a California Burrito with carne asada. They brought a regular wet chicken burrito. By the time they brought the right thing, my friends had finished their meal and my lunchtime was over. I was not offered a discount or anything. So basically, they charged me for the privilege of ruining my entire lunch break. I'm back at my desk now, burrito in the fridge. By the time I get to it, it will be old. And here I was thinking Brea didn't have one decent Mexican restaurant! Driven by this place a million times and never once stopped to eat here so know I must make up for lost time. It's half fast food, half sit down and super casual. There's a counter to walk up and order takeaway or you seat yourself at one of their numerous tables and the menus are under the glass tabletops. I ordered the shredded beef chimichanga and the hubby ordered super king burrito with carnitas. My chimi was excellent... crispy outer and full of goodies in the middle. Hubby enjoyed every last bite of his as well. The meat was plentiful in both dishes and I thought the beans were spectacular. Will def be back to explore the menu. read more

We were craving a wet burrito but didn't want to fight traffic to go to LA. We found this spot and read good reviews. I have no clue how this place has anything higher than 1 star. The burrito was OK, but I foolishly ordered a taco plate with rice and beans and couldn't even finish it. The beans were horrible. The rice was stale. The tacos were bland. The service was bad. The girl up front was clueless and the place was empty. We're originally from LA. We know GOOD Mexican food. This place was horrible. I've been coming years for years an unfortunately the last few times i've came either the portions have dropped drastically or I come during normal business hours and they're closed. The last time I came I got a california burrito, got home opened it up and it was just dripping grease. Didn't think much of it, took a bite and the fries were rock hard. it was like as if they have attempted to refry fries from earlier in the day. Every time I come its the same people working so it wasn't like there was someone new. They ought to be ashamed of themselves for serving food like that. There is no way the cook didn't know those fries were hard as a rock when he put them in the burrito. This is the last straw for me, I'm done with this place. read more

So how do i start this review?? I order my food online. So i ordered 4 carne asada burrito but got 4 carne asada tortas with Mustard instead? Where in the world do tortas come with mustard?? Second i ordered 2 fish tacos, carne asada taco, and a chicken salad. so when i inspected 2nd bag not only was i missing the chicken salad i was missing the carne asada tacos. The only thing they got right was the flan, and one last thing i ordered a side of guac, but got a mixture of green chili and half guac. The manager and owner of this establishment should be ashamed of their awful service. Stay away!!!! Someone in the kitchen must be on drugs to get this mixed up this bad. And if your the owner save yourself by replying to this review. Nothing you can say or do can make up for this blunder, and this lunch was for business meeting for my staff. Don't. Just don't. We went on a cold rainy day because we craving soup and their sorry excuse for albondigas was just the beginning of the disappointment. The albondigas was 3 meatballs in warm water with 2 pieces of carrot, 2 pieces of zucchini and a piece of potato. I could have made it better with my feet. I added salt and salsa and said a little prayer. Thank God I just shared the burrito with my sister because their carne asada was like meat stew definitely not ASADA, asked for guac inside and didn't get it but was charged for it. The wife went and got me a wet Carne Asada burrito. Very fatty pieces of meat. We ordered it with cheese onions cilantro and salsa. We got it with only meat, thank you!. The beans were thin and watery. Small portion of rice on the side. A dry burrito is $6.50, the wet one is $7.50. A dollar for a ladle of ranchero sauce? My family comes here all the time. They're pretty good with service and the food is also really good. Of course everyone has their off days and we've had our share of off days at the Wet Burrito. Yet we keep going back because it's really yummy. Perfect for the Born-&-Bred-in-Mexico to the I-can't-Handle-Mexican-Food-but-Still-Love-It types. My Review is specifically for their take out. My family orders take out from here often. The last two times it's been pretty bad to the point where I feel the need to share. The first time they had forgotten a couple of tacos for my dad and enchiladas for my mom. The second time, they were super conservative (Donald Trump style) with the sauce for the wet burrito, which should have been called a dry burrito in our case. The thing that made me most upset was that we had ordered two Sierra Mists with our order thinking it was going to Yates like it. They ended up being pretty much carbonated water which my whole family dislikes. It's not the first time they've forgotten stuff or have done a careless job on our order. To spare you the heart ache of not getting a wet enough burrito or a what was thought a sweet drink, say it there. Service there is better in restaurant than take out. read more
