Great wet burritos, the all meat one is wonderful, plus the chicken enchilada combo. The tortilla soup is very flavorful. Fish tacos great also. My family and I have been going to this place since we moved to Brea almost 10 years ago. It saddens me that a place, where we have shared many fond memories, failed to treat us like the loyal customers we have been. I placed a catering order early last week for a tray each of chicken fajitas and cheese enchiladas. The gentleman at the counter, along with the owner, agreed that an 11 AM pick up for Sunday would be fine, and would give them enough time to prepare the order. On my way to pick up our order, I gave the restaurant a call to confirm that it was ready. The girl who answered (one of the daughters) said it would be ready in 10 minutes, although it was already 11:15am. I arrived at the restaurant and asked if the order was ready. The owners, who were both in the back preparing food, didn't even so much as look up when I tried to inquire about how much longer it would take. They were very quick to tell me that it would be another 20 to 25 minutes and that I would receive a call when it was done. I tried to express my disappointment as well as the fact that I had a house full of people waiting, but I received a cold shoulder and a whole lot of disinterest. I agreed to leave and return in 20 minutes. My mother and I returned and she again tried to express her disappointment, but there was very little response or accountability. The male owner said they were busy and that everyone is their client. We tried to explain that the order was placed well in advance, but that meant nothing to him. It was as if they couldn't understand why we were upset. The female owner mentioned that "we aren't professionals" as we left the restaurant. A simple, sincere apology (or even some chips and salsa while we waited!) would have changed the situation. However, the lack of customer service and basic courtesy was more than enough to show us that this is not the type of establishment where we will be visiting again. read more

I had lunch here yesterday and I was impressed. I ordered a burrito without meat. The girl at the register was super nice and efficient. The service was fast. The chips are complimentary and I got a refill on my iced tea without even asking. I noticed there was huevos rancheros on the menu so I'll be back for that. I was in a hurry so didn't get to look at the entire menu. And the bathrooms were clean and tidy as well as the entire place (what I could see). This place gets an A. read more

And the waitresses will literally argue with you over whether or not your meal comes with a soup (which by the way is one meatball one potato and a slice of squash) it prob cost them under $1.00 to make but they would rather be "right" then provide good customer service. OK, I married a Mexican Lady thinking I would enjoy Mexican food for the rest of my life. Little did I know she would decide only to cook healthy American and Mediterranean food for her family. We come here when we want delicious and authentic Mexican food. The wet burritos and tortas are our favorites, but there isn't anything on the menu we haven't enjoyed. People are impressed that my 11 year old can finish one of their GIANT wet burritos by himself, given that it is about 3 serving sizes. The food can't be beat, it is super reasonably priced, and the staff is super friendly. This place keeps me fed well and keeps me from regretting my choice of marriage partner. read more

The food is good. The price is more than reasonable. My only complaint is that the table sometimes smell. I think it's caused by a dirty or not-rinsed enough towel. It's almost the same smell as a tile-floor that's been mopped by a dirty mop. Other than that, the food makes my stomach smile. read more

So far so good... breakfast burritos are really good, not great but really good. I have visited this place twice for breakfast only. First, I ordered a breakfast burrito with egg and sausage. Ingredients look and taste fresh, also the burrito is put together with a little TLC which makes me happy. They are very consistent and every single bite had an even amount of ingredients hitting my taste buds; I dislike biting into a burrito and tasting nothing but beans on one side and pure rice on another. On another occasion I had a chorizo and egg burrito which was also well put together. It needed just a pinch of salt but was pretty good. I did not have a bunch of chorizo lard running down my fingers and wrist which means they drain it well or use a very low fat type of chorizo (I highly doubt is soy). One thing I will point out is that the salsa that accompanies these well put burritos is more like a watered down tomato base. It has no spice to it, no real kick. It's a red blend of what appears and tastes to be just tomato and water with a few common ingredients. I personally feel they need to work on this because that salsa is nowhere near authentic. It's almost like a pico de gallo Blended without chiles. Moving on, the inside is very clean and well kept. Staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable with their menu. I will try a lunch burrito soon and will update my review when I do so. For now, I will keep them at 3 stars till they wow me with something that separates them from all the other burrito places in Southern California. Enjoy read more

My favorite mexican food place in Brea. Everything I've had here is great. My favorite is the beef tamale covered in green sauce. The staff is always friendly and greets you with a smile. They often remember the orders of the regulars and makes you feel welcome. I recommend them to anyone looking for some good food at a decent price. read more

My family and I love this place. It's a small whole in the wall with great food. I personally LOVE their cocido soup. This is one of my favorite Mexican spots in Brea. Their wet burrito and tacos ($1 taco Tuesdays!) are legit. I also love their sweet corn tamale. This place is tucked away inside a little strip mall, but they know how to make food. The service is good every time I come here. You also can eat a bunch for cheap. All win in my book. read more
