I saw someone post about this place on Instagram and I'm so glad they did. I only like breakfast spots that have real maple syrup so when I saw they did I was there. I tried the French toast and omg it could be habit forming. We also got the machaca and the Bennies. Everything was incredible. Service was exceptional, fast, friendly, accommodating, answered all of our questions. Ambiance can be a little noisy but it's a diner, that's the way I want it to be. Lots of people smiling and laughing and enjoying real, good, fresh food. Oh yeah the coffee is bomb too. Any of the people leaving 1-star reviews are seriously mental IMO. There's really no restaurant as good as this place. It's as if someone went to the farmers market and got a bunch of fresh ingredients and made you a homemade breakfast of the highest quality. There's a huge sign when you enter that warns customers of adjusting expectations to possible slow service. I would say this sign is accurate and helpful bc if you're in a rush/looking for a place to go in and get out, this wouldn't be the best fit. I went on a Saturday late morning and waited 20 min for a table and didn't get food until about 20-15 min after ordering. I didn't mind the wait that day but just a heads up for future customers! Highly recommend making reservations by calling the restaurant. They won't seat you until the whole party is there, so make sure everyone is on time. We visited Our Nest for the first time last weekend on a Sunday morning. It is obviously a very popular place because there were a ton of people waiting in line out front. The host said the wait would be 20-25 minutes and it was already sunny and hot and there was no shade outside so we went to the car to wait for 10-15 minutes. We came back and they said they had already called us, but the host was kind enough to still give us the next available table. We were greeted quickly and drink orders taken. The menu is interesting with lots of different choices. I had the French Toast A-Aron Stack. Delicious cinnamon goodness and nice thick slices of bread. The bacon was nice and crispy and the eggs had the most orange yolks I've ever had anywhere. The basic breakfast bowl looked like a work of art and had a lot of ingredients for a wide variety of flavor. Service was great and it's always nice to see young happy people working at places. I went here on a double date with my boyfriend, his childhood friend, and his friend's girlfriend for brunch. The wait wasn't too bad, surprisingly, for a Saturday at 10AM. I got the chicken enchiladas and asked for double rice instead of the regular rice and beans (just not a fan of beans). The rice was a bit dry but was seasoned well! The enchiladas were good, too, but I felt that the chicken was also too dry for me. It seemed like an honest mistake, and the staff worked it out quickly. We weren't bothered by it--just something we observed. Once we were seated, we had several different staff members check in on us--definitely attentive. I asked if the huevos rancheros came with a crunchy tortilla or regular, and the first answer I got was simply "it's good huevos rancheros" . I ordered the filet and eggs and asked for the steak rare, but the server said, "I'll give you medium rare" without explanation. Shout-out to the team for getting the kids' pancakes out early--that definitely helped keep my niece and nephew entertained. Her side of hashbrowns came out late (after we'd all started eating), but another server came by, apologized, and brought them out later. Mistakes happen, and the portions were generous enough that we shared in the meantime. From the group: the deconstructed 7-layer breakfast got great feedback, pancakes were slightly burnt but still enjoyable, and the carnitas were too oily for one person's taste, so they skipped it. Coffee was great, and I was offered refills multiple times--which was both nice and persistent, haha. Overall, the staff wasn't rude at all. They just seemed focused and busy, not necessarily bubbly. We only heard a brief acknowledgment that it would be out soon about 10 seconds before the food actually arrived.
