Wasn't impressed. Keep in mind we went in the winter - I'm willing to give this place another try in the nicer weather when we can enjoy the outdoor area. Food was okay but not amazing - they were unable to make like half their menu for some reason. The clam dip was okay, would've been better if they made their own chips. The corn fritters were pretty good. The mushroom flatbread was also pretty good but the Lagos burger was too heavy. The beers weren't good, I only liked 1 out of the 4 I tried. And the service was really bad, it wasn't busy but it took forever to find a server for our check. The servers were nice just nowhere to be found. read more

We then sat for 20 minutes, waiting to be asked if he wanted a drink, would like to order food etc. We finally left after being ignored; also to add, it was not busy. The whitechapel projects was such a cool stop on our trip to Asbury. The food was really great and the beer variety was good. The service was friendly and talkative. They treated us like locals. I saw some guys getting growler fills, which is cool. It also had some great outdoor space. The aesthetic of the tasting room is epic. Parking is a little limited so you may wanna Uber. While the food was good, the service was absolutely awful. We were a table of four who was at this restaurant for 2 hours and 45 minutes. The waitress did not ask one time if we wanted another drink or more water, and after appetizers it took us an hour to put in our order for meals. After the meal, we had a gift card that the management denied due to "new management" although the restaurant has the same name as the previous one. It is a far cry from a "New Jersey " brewery but still a wonderful experience. It is closer to a brew pub than a brewery with the exception that they have a solid selection of beers from other craft breweries. Their brewery section is truly nano and will probably be sold out of most of the offerings. That being said I tried the double IPA and it was very good. The food is first rate and is worth the visit all by itself. A remarkable space that will be jammed when it warms up. There is a pizza oven in the outdoor area so be prepared for crowds. Plans include music and art shows. Graphics are first rate. The rating is really for the entire operation and doesn't really reflect the brewery. The staff is primarily made up by musicians who reflect their real feelings about White Chapel Projects. read more

We went here to check it out and I'm so glad we did. The food was fresh with numerous healthy options, the servers were all great (we interacted with 3 of the), and the ambiance is industrial chic. It will be fantastic in the summer. I only was able to try the Double IPA since they ran out of the rest. It was very good, but we ordered more and they tasted different, but still good. We decided to give this place a second try after visiting after they just opened and were still trying to get up to speed. FIRST & FOREMOST, DO NOT PARK ACROSS THE STREET IN THE BIG LOT, UNLESS YOU DRIVE ALL THE WAY IN TO THE METERED AREA UP THE HILL AND PAY. This is a poorly signed paid parking only lot where the town makes $$ on tickets. No sign at entrance. The grassy area on the left as you drive in is where you will get a big fat $54 parking ticket. We went on a hot Friday night for music in the back. Nice big space, could really use some big industrial fans to move the air around, but a fun venue. We were just at another out door place locally and they had outdoor fans and it helped. The short rib burger and corn on the cob were excellent as well as the beer. We will be back, but will ride our bikes. :) enjoy!! read more

Was here when it first opened. Posted a great review. Came by on Sunday. Had the opposite experience. The place was empty. They were out of 3 items on the menu. Basic stuff like bologna and granola (which tells me they just don't care anymore about being a restaurant). Of the 7 items left on the menu nothing was very exciting. I ended up with the croque madame which I had before. And it was good. This time I almost sent it back and left. The French fries were soggy and undercooked. The sandwich was missing the cream sauce and was dry The salad was a bunch of greens with no dressing. I powered through the sandwich and will not be back. Seems like a lot of the locals have made the same decision. read more

Great place!! Couldn't wait for it to open and it didn't disappoint ! Very cool atmosphere. Staff is very attentive, friendly, and helpful! The beer selection is mostly their own brews with some coming from local micro breweries. All very good. The food is amazing! The menu has a nice selection and there are specials at night. I can't say enough great things about this place. The food was out of this world - my gf got the vegan banh mi and I got the clam sandwich. The bread is absolutely delicious. They make it daily from the left overs of the brewing process. I recommend the poutine too - think disco fries from a diner but better. They have a variety of cocktails as well as a handful of beers. Since they just opened about a month ago they're running in a limited menu but that will change once they're fully operational. There is plenty of parking as well! read more

To preface, this place seems very cool. I was going there to try the beer selection. They have good beer and the space is really nice. I have walked into this place two times. Both times it was not very crowded, next to no one at the bar and both times I was ignored by the bartender. I sat for at least 10 minutes both times. It was as if I was not even there. I left both times without trying a single beer. They need to get new staff. It is really bad. For such a nice place to have that service It really is unacceptable. We've been to WCP quite a few times and always love it. Last night we went for restaurant week and they really outdid themselves. Our appetizers were the green goddess salad, made with escarole and the most scrumptious croutons, and the pork bao, which was also delicious. For entrees we both had the hangar steak frites with black peppercorn sauce. The steak was perfect medium rare as we asked for, and the sauce was exquisite -- just the right balance of pepper flavor in a sauce that wasn't overly creamy. The desserts topped off the meal -- apple cider donuts with a dipping sauce that were to die for, and chocolate bread pudding. And as always the service was efficient and warm. Although I like the atmosphere and the Dj (Neil ,who happens to spin at several establishments in the area)played great music as usual . I was disappointed with the extremely limited bar selection. They only offer a few mixed drinks and have the nerve to charge $12 for them( hello this is New Jersey! NOT New York!! Considering the cocktails on the menu were not appealing to me I decided to order a wine. The waitress brought me wine in a can (it was disgusting!!! ) needless to say I never even drank it after the first sip and the waitress never asked me if I had an issue with my full wine ,I sat with friends and three of us drank water because of this.one of my friends ordered a Dewers(scotch) he was told they did not have Dewers and they said he could have the whiskey they carry (whisky and scotch are entirely different)I also ordered the Goddess salad which the garlic was so overpowering I couldn't enjoy that either, not to mention the croutons were stale and this they charge $9 for.(the staff never bothered to ask if there was something wrong with my uneaten salad. I had been the last one to arrive at the table and everyone else had their drinks, the waitress asked me if "I " wanted to open a tab so I gave her my credit card.One of my friends ordered another beer and when it was brought to the table she asked to pay for it and the waiter said it was added to the tab. We questioned which tab he was talking about and he stated "The table tab" and said my last name. I told him that that tab was open for me and NOT for the table. He said he would fix it.as time progressed others had joined our table and placed beer orders as well.After my friends finished their beer, we decided to go to a bar where we could actually have a cocktail and enjoy a few drinks out.I asked to close out my tab for a canned wine and a salad( that I did not eat or drink)my check was brought to me with charges for everyone's drinks etc.I was again discouraged to see I had been charged for the entire table. So again I stated that I only had a salad and a wine. They brought me the adjusted bill. And my friends paid their bill in cash. A couple days later I was going over my credit card statement and noticed I had two separate charges on my card from here, one for my order and the other was for my friends(who had paid in cash)!!! I wouldn't recommend this place for drinks at all!! And they need to get there act together and hopefully add a full bar. What is the sense of paying for a liquor license if you aren't going to use it to it's full advantage. Not everyone drinks beer or specific cocktails and I certainly don't know anyone who enjoys drinking wine from a can!! They might as well have boxed wine.Oh and before I forget this was a Saturday night and the kitchen closed at 9:30 ,they should consider keeping the kitchen open later ( people like to eat after they've had a few drinks)and at 9:30 the night is still young. read more

All I can say is WOW and if there was more than five stars ti give they would get it. Beautiful and comfortable place with great beer and food. The Poutine is beyond delicious. We had the Mississippi Roast which was a brisket with gravy on top of fries with baked cheese on top. The Ploughman's lunch is another excellent selection selection. The owner goes around greeting all and staff is efficient and interested in you. Whether you just want a quick beer or relax, this is the place and it is only going to get better!!! read more

My family and I stumbled upon The Whitechapel Projects after a day at the beach. What an excellent find this was! The deceptively simple exterior decoration belied an expansive interior space with fantastic ambience, a nice choice of indoor or outdoor seating options and a very cool vibe! The patrons were diverse and upscale, yet the environment was relaxed. A few families were seated in the outdoor area, where giant Jenga and corn hole toss games kept children sufficiently entertained. Staff were friendly and helpful. The menu was very eclectic, with items ranging from hot dogs and short rib burgers to poutine and vegan banh mi. I had the latter, and it was well presented and tasty. The craft beer selection was admirable. A few more wine and soft drink options would be a plus. Overall, we were very pleasantly surprised and will definitely visit again! read more

Their Poutine with Mississippi Roast is a must. Also enjoyed the Lagos burger, corn Fritters and Blueberry cucumber salad. Fresh, tasty, unique pub food. Plus they have craft beer and cocktails. Great staff, excellent service. Best of all the prices are reasonable! Looks rather non-descript from the outside but you will be happy you found this place.
