I way overpaid, pre-paid non refundable. This place is a dump. Front lobby and elevator smell terribly. Carpets and floors haven't been updated in many years. The swimming pool has no water. Paint is peeling in hallway. I've stayed in older hotels before, but they were refurbished, clean and lovely. I can hear the people next door talking and there is no ice machine.

Who ever we spoke to who books guests was not well trained I guess.. but here's our experience. We were not informed that we had a discounted rate, nor were we informed that due to the discounted rate, there was a no cancelation policy. Neither of these terms were listed anywhere nor were they mentioned at anytime during the booking. We were under the impression that would could still cancel our reservation based on the confirmation email we have received from booking the reservation. (SEE SCREENSHOT OF EMAIL) We spoke to the front desk manager and the general manager of the hotel. Both were not accommodating and did not honor the cancelation nor refund our money. We called Nov 3, at 12:00Pm to cancel the reservation. That was 51 hours before the date/time of arrival. We requested to cancel the reservation prior to the declared 48-hour notice. We had to cancel due to family emergency, we had a death in the family. When requesting the cancelation, Angela Hentz asked for PROOF of our dead family member. If a family member passed Nov 3 there is no way we'd even be able to secure a death certificate in time for the time of the book reservation. I find it appalling she requested verification of death in our family in order to provide any sort of accommodation. This was very unprofessional and inappropriate. This reservation was barely $150 and I had to go a great lengths for them to consider any possibility of getting our money back. Angela called us back and said there was nothing she could do other than offer us a credit for another nights stay. I did not take this offer because I would never take my business to this kind of establishment. I recommended staying at the best western, or Marriott in the nearby areas. Save ur time and money and earn rewards while staying at another hotel in downtown phx.

I arrived at noon on a Friday after driving in from Las Vegas, and Dylan at the front desk set the tone immediately. Before I could even ask, he let me know there were no suite upgrades available but offered me a King Premium and got me checked in on the spot. As a solo traveler who had just made that drive, being able to walk straight to a room and crash was everything. He took a few minutes to catch me up on what had changed since my last stay; the breakfast situation being the highlight of that conversation, which turned out to be... relevant. The next morning, after a rough experience at breakfast, I mentioned something at the front desk and Donna, the front-end manager, stepped in immediately, not defensively, but genuinely wanting to understand what happened and make it right. That kind of accountability is rare. Saturday night brought a similar hiccup at the bar, and Sayan handled it the same way: professionally, without hesitation. The room was exactly what I've come to expect from Kimpton, clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. But the real story here is the staff outside the restaurant. Dylan, Donna, Sayan, these are hospitality professionals who actually care, and it shows. The hotel itself earns every star.

They are personable, helpful and kind. The room and area we used were spacious with tables and chairs to accommodate the crowd. Servers were busy with food replacement. Drink servers kept on top of those needing a beverage. The restaurant will validate for 2 free hours of parking. Parking is conveniently located to the hotel. If you prefer, there is also a parking lot across the street.

Over the last few months, I have interviewed half a dozen vacation management companies in search…read moreof a great parter to manage my property in Old Town Scottsdale. All of the other companies that I had spoken with were experienced and knowledgeable, but nothing about those conversations left me excited about partnering or gave me the confidence that they would manage my property with the level of attention and care that I expected. I felt like my house would just be one of the thousands of other properties they manage across the county. They cared more about getting the sale than working with me to develop a tailored strategy for my home. I set up a call with Ellie (Owner) to hear what she had to say and learn more about her approach to luxury vacation rental management. It immediately became clear to me that Ellie knows exactly what it takes to not just do well in a competitive market such as Scottsdale...but how to excel and produce extraordinary results. Ellie provided guidance and what it would take to get my home to appear in the top search results, generate the highest possible nightly rates, provide a full service luxury experience to guests, top reviews, and a management team to support the entire operation so that I can be a completely hands off owner. She backed up everything she said producing reports with 24 months of property performance on all of HomeSlice's existing properties. I not only hired HomeSlice to manage my property, I hired Ellie to do the entire interior design and I am SO happy I did. Her design was incredible and she put 100% of everything I needed for the home in my shopping cart...only thing I had to do was make click "buy". The #1 thing I learned during this entire experience was to not go looking to hire a property management company....look for a partner you trust and one that will produce results. I found that in Ellie and her team at HomeSlice.

I think maybe air bnbs in Arizona should require AC? Idk if that's just me. She treated our group like we didn't know how to operate a very simple thermostat. So much that it took her hours of telling us how to use it, that it was too late for a technician to come. It was so hot, we had to be outside. We had 10 people. 1 was pregnant, and 4 more of us were not drinking. She tried to charge $1,000 for a noise complaint that was never made. Which she says that her neighbor took "multiple videos and photos" of our "house party" of girls in the pool with bikinis on! She never sent the actual video that we can listen to. Just a screenshot. But that pretty creepy of the neighbor to take videos of girls in the pool. So maybe don't use the pool if you stay at her house in phoenix. . Besides that, going back to the house being 86 DEGREES and her not caring or being apologetic at all. It was finally fixed 6:30 pm on Saturday, but it probably took until 8pm to cool from 86 degrees to 73. Not once were we rude to her. We could've been under these circumstances. Sorry your ego is fragile and you're unable to take constructive criticism. A woman of your age, I would expect a bit more professionalism and maturity. House is cute tho! Good job decorating! PS. We don't need your money. Your house with no ac just wasn't worth it. But thanks for the feedback. A budget in or hostel would've probably had better service and AC. This isn't "retaliation" for money. Just standing up for my friends and letting everyone know you're a pathological liar when we have every screen shot and video proof of everything.
