Raw dough in the center of the churros

We went here for the first time in about 6 years. It was quite nice inside- upstairs especially with a bar and lounge area. Very dark and moody, with a very big speakeasy vibe. There is a room attached with comfy couches and seating - not suitable for a meal but perfect for drinks and apps. We sat at a hightop near the windows up there. There was live music and an attentive server. We got there early - around 5 on a Saturday and noticed how busy the traffic coming in was after that. My old fashioned cocktail was so sweet it was undrinkable, but my server brought it back and had it "fixed " for me. Still very sweet but more drinkable. The bread was delicious, hot and fresh served with garlic herb butter. I got the pink vodka chicken pasta dish and my date got the sausage Thai Asian dish. Both were large portions and delicious. After dinner spots at the bar opened so we moved there for a drink and dessert. I had a pink lady which was better than the old fashioned and we ordered churros to share. The churros were crisp and delicious on the outside but then I noticed the center "oozing" out. I thought it was a cream of sorts but swiftly realized it was uncooked dough. I made the busy bartender aware and she said she would talk to her manager and have it removed. That never happened. We paid for our drinks and uncooked dessert and left. Bad ending to an otherwise good experience. Still it was a decent dining experience and I would go back to try other menu items. EDIT: As the owner replied, the churros are indeed filled and it was not raw dough. Apparently I was mistaken and it was not undercooked. What led me to believe this was the menu doesn't indicate any filling and I have never had this elsewhere in churros. The filling also had no flavor and was extremely hot - so it was not filled after it was cooked. Again, I would likely go back; this doesn't have a big impact on my general experience.

Fun at the upstairs bar with Brittany!

Consistently great food, drinks and service! Menu and drink specials always a treat, fish and tuna so fresh. Food preferences accommodated when possible, entertainment always great & love the new upstairs space! #windhamrestaurant @windhamrestaurant #buzzybooth

This restaurant was highly recommended by my friends and we came in as a group of 5. A problem I noticed right away was that Windham tried to fit too much into their space. The way tables were rearranged, worked, but I was sandwiched between the end of a table and a wall. Secondly, they don't have many appetizers that can be shared among such a big party unless you like calamari. We ordered misc. apps to hold us over. Their blueberry raspberry cocktail was the highlight, I loved how it came out strong! The shrimp scampi had a good amount of shrimp, but I found it a bit too saucy. I'd still make it my go-to dish once I visit and try other items.

What can I say..our first time there and we will be back. Started with the delicious bread with Maple butter We started with 1/2 order of calamari and crab cakes..again delicious.. crab cakes were served with a arugula salad and a perfect gastric sauce 1/2 portions are perfect. Nice size for a dinnr We then had special burger and I had a1/2 order of Chicken Parm. It had a crunchy fried outside which sounded a little iffy but I was wrong - glad I ordered. Burger ordered med but came well done. He still liked it. While I had no room left I had to have dessert ,my choice, carrot cake with maple cream top. Again, I sound like a broken delicious train of reviews! Run don't run. Book a reservation ASAP

I would say it goes beyond bringing the North End of Boston to New Hampshire, it brings the best of your mother or grandmother's kitchen. The restaurant itself is spotlessly clean, and although it is not in a large spot, the tables are spaced out and for some reason it has an intimate feel in a buzzing restaurant with a good vibe. I tried one of their specialty martinis, and I was not disappointed. I also tried the recommended wine and was very happy. I am a food in Italian wine snob and both were great. Attention is paid to detail. The bread that came out before the meal was fresh and tasty. I had the eggplant and veal parm and Bella had the chicken Parm. The gravy was cooked so perfectly that we ended up, sopping it up with the bread. The meal was perfect, and we had enough to take leftovers with us. Hats off to the entire staff of Giabella's,

I was even able to move up the reservation when our plans changed the day of. The restaurant is in a random shopping complex in Salem, NH. We were driving North for a race so the stop here was a nice break in the drive. Not going lie, when we were walking towards the restaurant, it looked a tiny bit sketch - wrapping across all the windows. Slightly deserted shopping complex. But when we walked in, wow it was so beautiful inside, very spacious, huge bar to the left and then large dining area to the right. There were cozy booths lined up against the perimeter of the room. The staff was so incredibly warm and welcoming. We were a very loud group (sorry!); 12 adults, mostly dudes, laughing uncontrollably at all the dumb jokes. None of the staff was upset by this though; our server was so much fun and even joined in. Food is fantastic. HUGE portions. I love chicken parm, I also love eggplant parm. They have a menu item of both of them together. It doesn't get much better than that.

The cozy booths would be a good option for 2-4 people; much quieter and still affording good views of the room, decorated in a typical Italian theme. If you've read my reviews before you know I despise TVs in restaurants and they had several but I'm happy to report they were all in a separate bar space, not visible or audible from the dining room. We shared four appetizers and each got our own entrees. The apps we ordered were: Clams Casino: 5 good sized clams. Fortunately one member of our group of 6 doesn't like clams. The rest of us liked them. Mussels In Scampi Sauce: A big portion of very fresh medium-sized mussels. Lots of sauce which could have used more garlic and parsley, and bread should be served with it but was not. Antipasto d'Amalfi: Good for what it was but very expensive for the portion at $22. For our party of 6 we could have used two even with our other apps and entrees. (In general, the appetizers here seemed overpriced while the entrees were all quite reasonable.) Also, I think they left out the tuna which was listed as an ingredient - unless one of my companions grabbed it first! Stuffed Artichoke: Good flavor from the buttery, seasoned breadcrumbs, but not an attractive presentation. The leaves were mostly removed from the core and carelessly arrayed on the plate, making it hard to find the good ends and taking away most of the fun of eating this peculiar vegetable. My entree was Shrimp & Scallop Puttanesca with linguini. I'd rate it average. The sauce could definitely have been spicier and should have had more capers and olives. The shrimp wasn't the greatest though it was fresh. They left the tails on; one of my peeves. Scallops were fine. Pasta was correctly cooked but like all the pastas served here it was dried, not fresh. I'd hope an Italian restaurant of this level would have at least some fresh pastas but I don't think they did. The menu did say that all the pastas were imported from Italy though. The wife's Veal Carrozzella though was outstanding. I could tell this from the one bite I tried. It's listed on the menu as "Scaloppine of Provimi veal sautéed with egg-battered mozzarella in a sage wine sauce". Interesting how it was the mozzarella, not the veal, that was battered. Entree portions were large. I got 2 1/2 servings from mine, but I did eat a lot of appetizers first. The veal entree was also at least 2 servings. I had some interesting cocktails. One was a Honey Sazerac which hit all the marks for a good Sazerac. With its name I'd expect honey flavor but I didn't detect any. Unfortunately I don't remember the other cocktail except that it was on the rocks, fruity, and had some flowery flavor overtones. They had a large selection of "craft cocktails", and not all the same ones we see everywhere these days. One of my companions ordered a bottle of wine for the table which was excellent but I don't remember the name. There was a good selection, many of which were "affordable". Entree selection was very large, with many chicken, veal, pasta, and seafood items to choose from, most of the standard Italian dishes you'd expect and more. Only one beef item: a ribeye with Pizzaiola sauce. Now for the service. It was excellent. I found it slow but I realize now our waitress read the group perfectly who as a whole wanted a leisurely evening so she paced perfectly for that, giving us time to enjoy our first drinks before taking appetizer orders, not bringing the entrees too soon after the apps, and so on. We were there 2 1/2 hours. Her habit of reaching across the table to deliver and pick up dishes was a bit awkward and unusual but didn't really bother me. Our request to split the check 3 ways was handled cheerfully and accurately even though two couples were sitting side-by side and the other were across from one another. With all that food I had no room for dessert. Two or three of my party did get dessert and they looked interesting enough. I did have coffee but it wasn't good at all. Overall, definitely worth returning to.

The restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night, which says a lot about how good it is. The two small cons: when I made the reservation on March 7, I included a note asking for a surprise birthday dessert for my friend Anita after the meal (I had planned to order the Swiss Chalet Cake), but it never arrived. Luckily we ordered the crème brûlée donut to share, which was fantastic anyway. I just wish reservation comments were reviewed so special requests like that can be carried out. Additionally, it was also a bit loud for a small restaurant, especially on a Tuesday night. Overall, everything was perfectly cooked and we'll definitely be going back again soon.

The prices here seem fair. The place is casual and order at the counter and there are a few hard seat booths. After seeing postings of social media, I decided to stop in at Crown Castle Pizzeria for takeout. I ordered a Large Cheese Pizza ($10.99 plus tax-Monday special) and a Spaghetti & Sausage Dinner ($13.99 plus tax) with garlic bread. The food was prepared to order and all set to go in about 15 minutes. The pasta entrée & garlic bread (in foil) were placed in a plastic bag and tied sealed. Upon arriving home, there was red pasta water all over the bag, but no mess in my vehicle since they wisely sealed the pasta for travel. The cheese pizza was pretty good which had the right amount of red sauce & melted cheese on top of a firm Greek style crust with rolled firm edge crust. The pasta was packed in a foil container with only foil on top, which was probably why there was pasta water in the bag. Anyways, the spaghetti was very soft (a bit overcooked) with a standard marinara sauce, sliced sausages and melted cheese, but still tasted pretty good. The baked garlic bread (sub roll slices) was buttery. Overall, I would come back here to try some of their other offerings like the baked & fried haddock dinners, ziti alfredo, and shawarma.
