They only use the highest quality unburled hard or softer woods, as well as seamless glass, which they will machine craft and form into just about any design you desire. After my decision to take them on, the ordering process was very simple and even though final delivery took a very long time, staying informed by them regularly really helped the time scoot by. The entire crew is extremely responsive and they still truly understand customer service like it use to be. Never once did I feel forgotten or unattended like so many other businesses and in the end, my five oversized windows are absolutely gorgeous, high quality and operate flawlessly. When I walk by my house, you would have no idea that the building in the back was not made at the same time as the home and that is absolutely all about the windows being a perfect match. My contractor really wanted me to get Marvin windows, and I could not bring myself to buy an overpriced and inferior solution to a wooden window, and I'm so happy a stayed the course. My contractor said these other brands have a twenty year warranty, and I said well the windows in my house have been here for 100 years, so I guess that trumps that, and wood is the way to go.

We appreciated his laidback attitude while also being upfront with his projected costs and schedule. Having numerous projects that needed redoing at the same time, we found his insight into ways to effectively cut costs while still maintaining the function and the aesthetic of our small bathroom invaluable. We met with multiple contractors before deciding who to work with on both of our bathrooms. Brannan and Oddyssey Builders were not only the most cost effective but far and away the most trustworthy people we met with during the quoting process. They didn't try to upsell us anything or talk about large overhead design features we didn't need. Brannan took time to have lengthy discussions with us up front about different options we had to lower costs to make our remodels what we wanted within our budget. It was an incredibly personable experience compared to simple impersonal sales pitches w/out in-depth discussions we had with other contractors. We trusted Brannan to carry out our vision of the projects within our budget and he delivered 100%. The results are beautiful. Two different bathrooms, each dramatically improved from what was there before while displaying our personal taste and adding some character to our home. We really love how much we were able to drive the design of the bathrooms with Brannan's guidance on the different tradeoffs of options for each decision. Oops sorry!] I was putting my home up for sale and needed a few small repairs before the home inspection. Well, I totally got my dates mixed up and it turned out that I only had two days to make these fixes (otherwise they'd be marked on the inspection report, which we didn't want! I ended up calling Diablo Valley handyman as they were recommended to me by a neighbor. I called first thing in the morning, and I believe I spoke with the actual owner (James.) I told him my situation and even though it sounded like he had a pretty full schedule, he was able to have somebody up the very next day to not only assess everything, but actually make the repairs! We needed to have a fence repaired , a new staircase hand-railing put up, some minor trim fixes around our windows. And then quite a few window screens needed replacing. (We have cats, lol) The fact that they were able to come out on such short notice, make all the repairs in one day, plus the guys that showed up to do the work were warm and friendly! After all of this, I absolutely expected to pay a high premium, however, the invoice came back for a more than reasonable amount! (It was a bit higher than the original estimate over the phone, but that was our fault because we forgot to tell them about the window screens!) Getting ready to sell a house is maddening and so stressful. Do Diablo Valley handyman was one of the only aspects that put us at ease during this entire process! Unfortunately, we moved quite a bit further away so we fall out of these guys' service zone now, but that's part of the reason why I wanted to make sure I wrote this review.... because I never forgot the awesome service we received!

I liked them the best out of all the contractors/handymen I talked to and felt they were very reasonable for cost and schedule. My project consisted of new stucco, trim, framing, and painting for my garage; and drywall and baseboard work inside. Mark and Alvaro completed the work and did a fantastic job. Mark kept me informed with all the progress each day, and his attention to detail ensured that everything ended up looking great. Overall, I had a really good experience with them and will plan to contact them again for any future projects.
