I was in attendance for Lawless Brewing Co.'s 4th Anniversary (yup... they opened during the pandemic!), when I had a few food options and decided on The Wing Man Catering/Food Truck. Before the pandemic, I used to work a ton of local outdoor events where food trucks lined up ready to take you money. During that time, I got very familiar with said food trucks, their owners, and sometimes even hired them for events I was a part of. After the pandemic, some of these events sadly folded, so I pivoted to other avenues for outdoor entertainment work that were less-focused on food trucks and more on actual booths/stalls. Nowadays, my more poignant exposure to these meals on wheels was at breweries and beer festivals. This was my first experience with them and couldn't find any background information whatsoever. On a wing and a prayer, man, was their food good or for the birds!? PURCHASE 6pc Mango Habanero Wings & Fries ($20.00): Slathered in a milder sauce than I'd hoped, only the meatier drumlets were present which I appreciated. These had a nice freshly-cooked crisp to each bite as the sauce stuck to your lips and your fingertips. Now, the spud sticks were a revelation with their portion size, the amazing crisp and crunch in every bite as the roof of your mouth slightly got burned by the internal steam, and the awesome seasoning they used! In this case, the event/residency took place at Lawless Brewing Co. with plenty of free parking along the main drag of Craner Ave. and all nearby streets (including Magnolia Blvd.). Another option was a driving service like a bus, taxi, Lyft, or Uber (no nearby Metro train station) - 'nuff said. There were no TVs nor any background music except what was playing inside the brewery. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL The Wing Man Catering/Food Truck was a finger-licking messy yummy time, and I would definitely consider them again. My only fear would be their limited menu and eventually trying everything over time. The prices were a tad on the higher end, the food and portion sizes were very good, and the service was easy and straightforward. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $36.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). Actually super good! But kind of a random spot lol To begin, I'd like to mention the location, it's at the corner of the street, it's a street vendor not a physical building so I was hella tripped out when I couldn't find it and I had to make a loop around the block to figure it out. The wings were very yummy!! My absolute favorite was the ghost pepper one, I wished the sauce was thicker though, it was a little watery and it didn't stick to the chicken wings well enough. It's pretty spicy, but not as spicy as I expected, spice level around 7/10, I expected it to be like spicy noodle spicy but not even close to that. The mango habanero was good but a little too sweet. Same problem with sauce thickness. The fries were good! Well salted, definitely home made, they get soggy quickly though. Absolute star of the night was the spicy ranch(??) sauce, oh my god it was absolutely amazing make sure to get lots of that!! read more

If you're looking for finger licking good wings at a reasonable price this is the place!! I'm happy I found them on my last minute Super Bowl purchase. Delicious fries, saucy and rich flavored wings and generous veggies and ranch dressing. I had the lemon pepper and buffalo. Amazing flavor. Easy and pleasant service. I called in my order and it was ready in 10 minutes even though they had a ton of orders they move fast and their service is great. This is my new go-to for wings. I May have driven around the corner too fast to notice but I don't think there's a large banner to see them from the street but they're almost at the corner of Beverly and Sadler setup under an easy-up. Decided to try them out for super bowl Sunday which turned out to be a good choice! Funny enough I misjudged how far they were from me, but it was worth the trip. The wings are fried to order so that they come out fresh. The cut of the wings are ideal for a greater meat-to-bone ratio. I really liked the tapatio sauce. It was thick, salty and just the right level of heat. My wife had hoped the garlic parmesan would be a little thicker, but she really dug the flavor of their fresh ingredients. The fries are a bargain for the amount you get. Chicken, slaw and pickles make it a complete meal. The labor, care and earnestness that goes into their work comes through in the wings they're preparing. Very tasty and worth a return visit. read more

I saw a couple reviews saying the wait time was pretty long, so I sent them a DM to place my order just before heading out. By the time I arrived the food was hot and ready. It's about a 20 min drive from me but it's definitely worth it!! They have quite a variety of sauces to choose from and the fries are to die for. I'd definitely recommend stopping by. read more

I really wanted to show these guys support, but I just got really grossed out by all the flies that were landing in their sauce bowl. They didn't even clean the bowl, I don't believe they even have a sink since they are outside. Don't wanna sound like a "hater" but it was very noticeable. I found this small wing a stop here on a Facebook group page. All I can say is thank you soo much because these wing are sooo good! They're priced well and the wing size is pretty big! Love their mole wings sooo much they are a must try!! Personally I wasn't too fond of the lemon pepper since it had a sweet flavor but garlic parm & Buffalo are soo bomb! The service was great. A variety of flavors are offered, everything was fresh and delicious.

The stand operates on the weekend from 12-5 PM. Showed up on Sunday at 4PM and parking was difficult. There was a line of vehicles double parked on the street and the street is on the narrow side. Ordered buffalo wings with mole fries and was told that the food would be ready in 45 minutes. Yikes! After waiting, the wings were ready but received no mole fries. Had I been told that the fries were sold out, I would have left. The wings are okay, not worth the wait or the headache of dealing with parking, crowds and pot use near the stand.
